Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Clip #1

Hello! Never Say Never , an upcoming  3-D documentary is centering on the teenage star singer Justin Bieber . Besides,  the clip contains an interview with the YouTube Wunderkind manager  Scott “Scooter” Braun . It is scheduled for release on February 11, 2011. The film follows performances from his 2010 “My World Tour.” It also includes scenes of Bieber as a young child, taken from home videos. The news for the film came through July 2010. Production began in summer 2010, up to his concert at Madison Square Garden. The film, whose name was not published until October 2010, was directed by Jon Chu . Chu says the film is a documentary, without any “acted-out scenes.” The MPAA gave the film a G rating, the first time to Paramount after Charlotte’s Web (2006) and the first G-rated film for MTV Films and Insurge Pictures ever since. At least was our experience viewing an early screening of Justin Bieber’s movie ” Never Say Never” at Paramount studios, just down the road from the “Glee” set, where two of Bieber’s own hits — “Baby” and “Somebody to Love” — were in axial motion, as the cast shot the show’s upcoming Valentine’s Day episode. It was a match coincidence bearing in mind how much heart the film come out of every turn – from Bieber’s earliest performances behind the drum kit at a neighbor’s house, to his time in Atlanta, where he wowed Usher and Island Def Jam head L.A. Reid, to middle school showcases, state fairs, and finally, the arena stage. One thing is for sure: it’s how musical this 16-year-old truly is and you get to see everything — from behind-the-scenes to above the stage, the dressing room where Bieber dresses, to the tour bus to his hometown, in Stratford, Ontario. The timing for “Never Say Never” couldn’t be better. On February 6, Bieber will appear in a Best Buy ad that airs during the Super Bowl. Two days after the movie’s release, Bieber will be at the Grammy Awards, where he’s nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal album. Check the clip and share your comments. Nicki Minaj’s Career Full Of Life-Altering Moments

A look at Pink Friday star’s highlights as ‘Moment 4 Life’ video debuts. By Mawuse Ziegbe Nicki Minaj Photo: Christopher Polk/ AMA2010/ Getty Images Nicki Minaj ‘s “Moment 4 Life” is an inspirational joint in which the Queens MC speaks with naked emotion about living out her dreams. The accompanying visual, which Minaj’s Young Money labelmate Drake has called “a fantasy video,” is slated to premiere Thursday (January 27) at 7:54 p.m. ET on MTV. In honor of the Pink Friday star’s latest video, MTV News is taking a look at some of Minaj’s real-life fairytale moments, from getting co-signs from Lil Wayne and Jay-Z to scoring her own lipstick shade. Weezy Introduces Nicki After spotting the lyrical spitfire on a street DVD series, Wayne roped the promising Queens native into his Young Money collective. Minaj hit the road with Weezy on the I Am Music Tour and later dropped her breakout mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty in 2009. DJ Holiday, who hosted Scotty with Minaj, predicted the upstart spitter had a bright future ahead. “It’s a good opportunity to always find that new chick in the game,” he said. “She’s gonna have a good, successful career. It’s hard to find that somebody who has that niche, that star power. She can rap, she can sing. She connected with everybody in the streets.” Nicki Gets A Jay-Z Co-Sign She already had Wayne in her corner, but by early 2010, Nicki got an endorsement from another powerful Carter: Jay-Z . Hov suggested to Robin Thicke that Minaj jump on the crooner’s “Shakin’ It 4 Daddy,” a collabo that would be followed by high-profile matchups with everyone from Mariah Carey to Usher. Thicke even helped ramp up Minaj’s profile by trotting her out for performances on “106 & Park” and “The Late Show With David Letterman.” “Jay-Z is a person in hip-hop that you almost don’t think he exists until you meet him,” Minaj explained to MTV News last February. “It’s almost like he’s bigger than a person. He’s a mythical figure. That’s a great way to describe it. I was like, ‘Jay-Z knows me?’ I didn’t think he knew who I was, let alone recommend me for something.” Minaj Rocks Madison Square Garden with Wayne, Jay, Drake For New York-area hip-hop artists, ripping the Madison Square Garden stage is a status-cementing moment that few are able to realize. But not only did the Young Money Barbie perform on the famed stage, she got to take the mic alongside Jigga, Wayne and Drake when Hov touched down on 34th Street for his Blueprint 3 Tour. “Madison Square Garden? I’m from New York,” Minaj said at the time. “This means the world to me — to be there with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Drake. It was the stuff that dreams are made of for a girl. Girls aren’t usually in those unique little circles.” Nicki Lands a BET Award Proving she was becoming an unstoppable force, Minaj managed to snap up her first major award with no album out. The Young Money raptress snagged Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the 2010 BET Awards in June, solely on the strength of her much-bumped mixtapes and features with everyone from Ludacris to Yo Gotti. Minaj took the moment to comment about the state of female MCs, and, perhaps, subtly send a message of peace to fellow femcee Lil’ Kim , who had been throwing jabs at the lyricist. “I think it’s so important right now for positive energy among women,” she said. “I’m fighting for women.” Nicki Scores VMA Love Later in the summer, with her #1 hit “Your Love” getting pumped in cars and clubs across the nation, Minaj scored her first MTV VMA nomination for Best New Artist . “I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven,” Minaj said about her debut VMA nom. “I definitely thought I’d get one someday, but not before I put the album out. I never thought I’d get a nomination [this year]. … I didn’t even think I’d get invited!” Minaj went on to rock “Check It Out” at the pre-show in a space-age catsuit alongside will.i.am. Minaj and Drake Get Hitched — On the Web The voluptuous lyricist and her heartthrob labelmate nearly brought the Internet to its knees when they announced they were married on their respective Twitter accounts. Although the union turned out to just be a playful prank, her Barbz’ heads almost exploded the one weekend she appeared to be off the market. “Drake is just my little brother, and I kid with him all the time,” she explained of the pretend nuptials. “We were just being crazy. I think we were a little bit bored. There’s really never a dull moment. I wouldn’t say we were bored; I would say we were being mischievous.” Minaj Rips Up Legends on ‘Monster’ As she was playing Internet pranks, Kanye West’s “Monster” track dropped, and asserted Minaj’s lyrical dominance to anyone who might have doubted the spitter’s vocal chops. Helming the last verse on a star-studded posse cut that includes Jay, ‘Ye and Rick Ross, Minaj’s beastly attitude, demented lyrics and unabashedly badass flow handily outshined her more-established collaborators. “It was a moment in history,” Ross later said of Nicki’s verse. “I knew then she’s one of the greatest.” Minaj’s and Eminem’s Alter Egos Up the Ante Just before Minaj’s much-anticipated Pink Friday debut dropped in November, the MC revealed she had scored a rare, top-notch feature for a debut artist: Eminem. Minaj and Em traded bars as their deranged alter egos on “Roman’s Revenge,” which arguably quieted any doubts about her status as full-fledged rap force. “It was the most fun song on Pink Friday ,” she said. “It gave me life.” Minaj Kisses Fame Hello with Her Own Lipstick Even with monster records with big boys of hip-hop like Kanye and Em under her belt, Minaj proved she’s still the ultimate girl’s girl by unveiling her own lipstick with MAC . Minaj nearly caused a riot in Times Square when she went to greet fans milling about to check out the Pink Friday special-edition shade. “She keeps it real and is so personable,” an amped fan told MTV News about her “idol.” “The guys give her respect because of her lyrics.” Minaj’s “My Time Now” Documentary Premieres Following in the footsteps of Drake, Minaj let MTV’s cameras tail her as she prepped Pink Friday, hit the VMAs and traveled to her native Trinidad for the first time in seven years for “My Time Now.” Viewers not only saw her business skills up close and got a glimpse as she laid down the vocals for “Roman’s Revenge,” they also received a candid look at her family life and the person behind the pink wigs. “Everybody sees Nicki Minaj; they’re gonna meet Onika. They’re gonna hear my story, and it’s such an inspirational story, which I never really wanted to tell ’cause everyone always feels like you don’t want people to know too much,” Minaj said of the project . “But when I saw what [MTV and production company @radical.media] did, I thought, ‘People need to see this.’ It reminds you that everyone always feels like this is it, but there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, and I feel like that’s what the doc says at the end.” Pink Friday ‘s Big Debut When her debut album finally hit shelves, it was clear the Barbie army was in effect. Minaj’s first outing hit the Billboard 200 at #2 , just behind Kanye West, moving 375,000 units in the first week. “I’m just so grateful and kind of still in shock. These numbers haven’t been put up since 1998,” she said, referring to Lauryn Hill’s debut. “It just makes me feel proud of my team, proud of my fans, everyone who has had something to do with my dreams. Finally, we are seeing this dream come to fruition. It feels incredible.” Minaj Live: “Saturday Night Live” and I Am Music II Tour In January, it was announced that Minaj, who once studied acting in high school, would be the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this Saturday alongside “The Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg. And earlier this week, Lil Wayne’s camp announced the newly freed rapper would be heading out on the I Am Music II Tour in March, and just like she was two years ago, Minaj would be along for the ride. Don’t miss the premiere of ‘s “Moment 4 Life” video, featuring Drake, tonight at 7:54 p.m. ET on MTV, followed by a live interview with the Young Money femcee that will continue on MTV.com. If you have questions for Minaj, tweet them with the hashtag #asknicki or upload a video question to Your.MTV.com . Kim Kardashian Says She Gives Up The Glam In Hype Williams Video

Reality starlet tells MTV News veteran video director focused on Kim ‘the artist’ for upcoming ‘Turn It Up’ clip. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Kourtney and Kim Kardashian Photo: Devan Pratt/ MTV News Kim Kardashian is pretty clear about her music career: It’s a one-song deal. Even so, the project is already high-profile, with everyone from Kanye West to The-Dream to music-video maven Hype Williams playing some role in the creation of Kim Kardashian, pop star. And with the song, “Turn It Up,” gaining lots of buzz, fans of the reality starlet are eager to hear the full single and see how the video turns out. From the looks of things, her “one song” idea could wind up being bigger than she envisioned. MTV News caught up with Kim on Wednesday and she revealed some details about the upcoming video. “Hype Williams directed the video. It is so crazy,” she teased. “I mean his looks that he put me in [are crazy]. He really had say in what he wanted, I guess, [for what] Kim ‘the artist’ that I was playing in this role would look like, as opposed to the everyday glam Kim that you’re used to seeing. So, it was really fun to play dress up and have all these other looks that I never really tried before.” Big sis Kourtney was at Kim’s side during the shoot, giving props to her “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” co-star. “Love it! And I was there with her throughout the whole process, which was fun,” Kourtney told us. “Going to the studio and, you know, just everything we did. It was a really fun process.” Kim has been reluctant to give up info about the song, but a source recently told MTV News that the song is a club joint. It’s like “back-in-the-day Jennifer Lopez … a little bit of a Jennifer Lopez feel. It’s totally a dance song,” the source explained. “It’s good and it definitely sounds like [Kim] in my mind. You know it’s her voice. She definitely can sing.” Are you looking forward to Kim’s first official music video release? Tell us in the comments!

Stalley Is Shooting For Greatness On Lincoln Way Nights

Ohio native gave up NBA aspirations and tells Mixtape Daily, ‘I’m more than an MC.’ By Jayson Rodriguez Stalley Photo: Courtesy of Stalley Fire Starter: Stalley In person, upstart rapper Stalley is unassuming and measured. But once the former high school sports star gets in the booth, he delivers with the same kind of authority that landed him on the University of Michigan men’s basketball team. Now, on the cusp of releasing his next project, Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music), a mixtape set to drop in February, the Ohio native is poised to make the transition from underground sensation to starter. “I’m more than an MC, I’m actually a writer. I can write songs. I can write good songs, and that’s what I want to do,” Stalley told Mixtape Daily. “That’s what I did on this project. I wrote out full songs, with ill concepts, ill lyrics and ill beats. Everything is put together. I want to be a great American writer, not just an MC, not just a rapper. So to be that, is just amazing to me.” The Creative Control/ Ski Beatz affiliate first made noise last year with his Madlib-inspired project, MadStalley: The Autobiography. Since then, he’s made his mark in a variety of ways, including blog partnerships with Slam magazine and HighSnobiety, a clothing sponsorship with 10 Deep and putting out the rumbling track “Hercules.” Now, three years after giving his undivided attention to hip-hop — back-to-back injuries at Michigan and then Long Island University shifted his focus — he’s beginning to see the payoff. That decision wasn’t easy for the Massillon native: His Ohio hometown is obsessive about high school sports (check the movie “Go Tigers” ), but Stalley was able to channel that intensity into the laidback Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music) collection. “When you’re someone known to be a lyricist, when you’re writing certain music, it comes off as dumbing it down,” he explained of searching for a sound over punchlines. “And people are confused, ‘Is this good?’ ‘Cause you’re used to this super lyrical dude. I took that and put it to the side and was just me. I spoke my story in a deeper way over deeper beats. So, I’m really happy with it. I’m becoming the artist I want to be.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Related Videos Mixtape Daily: Stalley, Rick Ross

Justin Bieber’s Magazine Covers Chart His Meteoric Rise

Teen sensation’s Vanity Fair cover follows a spate of increasingly high-profile mag appearances. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber on February cover of Vanity Fair Photo: Art Streiber / Conde Nast Justin Bieber first appeared on teen magazines like J-14 and Tiger Beat alongside fellow idols like the Jonas Brothers, but Bieber quickly established himself as a marquee cover boy. He was soon being profiled by industry publications like Billboard and embraced by mainstream mags like People. Bieber’s first big solo cover was the March 27, 2010, issue of Billboard. On the cover, Bieber sported a cardigan and those signature bangs while holding up a boom box. That appearance was quickly followed by his April 19, 2010, People magazine cover, which came out just weeks after the release of his My World 2.0. Early on, Bieber proved he was comfortable on shoots. “He’s always been a natural in front of the camera,” said Melissa Victor, VP, Media & Artist Relations at Island Def Jam Music Group. “I don’t think that kid can take a bad frame.” By the summer, Bieber was making headlines as teen magazines began proclaiming they had “Bieber Fever.” He covered Seventeen ‘s June/July issue and Teen Vogue ‘s October edition. “He has very strong ideas of how he wants to look,” Victor said of the Island Def Jam artist’s visual evolution. “His mom is already working on a scrapbook of all his covers,” she revealed. “She requests every single cover no matter how big or small; everything from J-14 to People magazine.” In addition to making the covers of some of the entertainment industry’s most popular magazines, the singer also scored some memorable profiles in places like VMAN, Interview and Elle, in which he waded on the beach with Kim Kardashian . With his latest cover for Vanity Fair, Bieber shows he’s growing in terms of his public image, from teen heartthrob to pop superstar — one who can be appreciated by both teens and adults. “Justin loves his core audience but it is important for him to continue to evolve as an artist, and with that evolution we want to insure that more and more people of all ages embrace his music,” she said. “It is great that these magazines have been there to chronicle his journey.” 2011 already looks to be a massive year for Bieber , and Vanity Fair is just the beginning. “He so honored and excited to grace the cover of Vanity Fair . He knows he is in great company, he doesn’t take it for granted at all,” Victor said. “This is has been a great way to kick off the New Year. But this is just the beginning. His fans can rest assured they will continue to get their ‘Bieber Fix.’ ” What do you think of Justin’s Vanity Fair cover? Tell us in the comments!
