Sure, he (and Trey Songz) are featured prominently throughout, but the clip is dark and brooding, a stylized, noir-ish nightscape that (like the song itself) takes most of the celebratory tenets of R&B videos and made them look, well, decidedly less fun

New Michael Jackson Single, ‘This Is It,’ Out On October 12

By James Dinh, with additional reporting by MTV News staff Michael Jackson in “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” Photo: Sony Pictures Not only will fans have the film of “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” to look forward to next month — they’ll also have a brand-new single, appropriately titled “This Is It,” and, as previously reported, an album. According to a release on MJ’s official site, the song “This Is It” — which features the Jacksons on backing vocals — will be released on October 12, and the two-disc album will be released on the 27th in the U.S.

A sneak peek at the world premiere of Miley’s new music video for ‘Party in the U.S.A.’ will be airing this week during the live 3-night ‘Dancing With the Stars’ premiere! … More details to come.” MTV News has confirmed the details of the sneak peek, which, according to Cyrus’ reps, will be an exclusive 90-second version of the video airing during the show Wednesday
