The now-infamous Ashley Madison hack has resulted in a virtual avalanche of scandals, most notably pertaining to Josh Duggar ‘s sex life. It has also revealed some interesting information such as what U.S. cities, states, and schools cheaters hail from, and who those users are. To wit, they were almost all men … talking to each other. That’s right, almost all of the women on there are fake. This isn’t altogether surprising for two reasons: The hackers who breached and exposed Ashley Madison’s user database even said they were motivated in large part by this specific fraud; Obviously, as sham websites and money-making schemes go, baiting married men to cheat on their wives is way easier than vice versa. An in-depth analysis of the data confirms what the hackers alleged when the site, whose stated goal is to help people have affairs, was compromised. Officially, there are 31 million Ashley Madison accounts apparently belonging to men, and about 5 million belonging to women. About a 6.2:1 ratio. However, a large number of female accounts were linked to ashleymadison (dot) com addresses, suggesting that they had been created internally. Moreover, 350 female accounts for people with the same (and unusual) last name exist, and that’s just scratching the surface of the sham : Only 1,492 of the women in the database ever opened their inboxes on the site, compared with more than 20 million men who did. Only 2,409 of the women used the site’s chat function, compared to more than 11 million men, including Christian vlogger Sam Rader . That’s right … fewer than 4,000 female humans used the site, meanwhile millions of men wrote, chat and forked over cash to do who knows what. And then their information wasn’t secured! Bottom line: You can expect some serious lawsuits (justified or not) from some seriously pissed off, still-unsatisfied dudes shortly. The hack is under investigation by the Toronto Police Department after two possible suicides are reported to be potentially connected to the leak. The hack has outed Josh Duggar (yes, that Josh Duggar ), while also exposing Real Housewives of New York City star Kristen Taekman’s husband . Christian blogger Sam Rader has also admitted that he used the website, but claims he never cheated, only using it to chat with other women. Even more hilariously, Louisiana GOP director Jason Dore also used it, but says his account existed merely to research political opponents. And if you believe that, you likely also believe Donald Trump has the best interests of women at heart. But anyway, back to Snooki. Back in January, the Princess of Poughkeepsie shot down rumors of LaValle’s infidelity by Tweeting: “My man ain’t goin’ nowhere #shady.” Unfortunately for the ex-reality star, it appears as if LaValle was at least going into the family den and logging on to the Internet. According to Rader, he only used the infamous site for chatting purposes, claiming he never met a woman face-to-face through it. He also insists he has never had an affair. His claims are plausible, since it’s hard to imagine 37 million users all consummating an online tryst. A chat room to a hotel room is a big step, and the hackers also allege that Ashley Madison routinely defrauded clients with fake female accounts. Still, given his devout Christian beliefs and how he rode them to fame, he’s been likened to Josh Duggar cheating on Anna (which Josh did admit). Earlier this month, Sam Rader “surprised” Nia with news of her pregnancy, a feat he pulled off by ganking some of her urine from the toilet … seriously. Days later, the duo claimed to have suffered a miscarriage, and they shared the news online (below). That too went viral. Since the two videos amassed millions of views, and took Sam and Nia from little known religious vloggers to viral sensations, people wondered: Could this have all been a PR stunt? Then, rather than angrily denying claims of fakery or really defending themselves, Sam and Nia issued a confusing statement about the pregnancy. Instead, they confusingly said that the pregnancy had indeed been staged … by God, whose plans for their family they are merely carrying out. Or something. It’s all very unusual. All we know is that news of Sam using a paid service designed to help married people cheat on their spouses seems a bit out of character, no?
