Demi Moore may have found herself a new boy toy. Witnesses allegedly spotted the actress stepping out this week in Los Angeles with a 26-year old personal trainer named Blake Corl-Baietti. Nothing else is known about the relationship, but Corl-Baietti is a former model with an interest in “anything outdoors,” according to a 2009 profile on a modeling site. He served in the California National Guard and pursued a degree in kinesiology in college. Moore’s ex, Ashton Kutcher, hasn’t been heard from much since the couple’s split, but rumors circulated last month that he was dating screenwriter Lorene Scafaria .

According to his rep, Ashton Kutcher will not be ringing in the new year with a new romantic interest on his arm. Following a Tweeted photo of himself and Lorene Scafaria in Italy this week, chatter naturally grew that the actor and the screenwriter were now an item . But the two “are just friends,” Kutcher’s rep tells People . “They are working on a potential project together about an Italian soccer team.” Well, that does make sense. Ashton knows a lot about scoring. Scafaria previously dated Adam Brody and wrote the screenplay for Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist . Kutcher, of course, split from Demi Moore this year after she got sick of his wandering penis.
For a few weeks in early 2011, we all got a laugh out of Charlie Sheen. Remember these Korners ? But Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre, who battled publicly with his show’s lead, tells TV Guide Magazine this month that he and CBS higher-ups weren’t finding the actor’s actions very funny. At all. “The [studio and the network] chose to make a moral decision as opposed to a financial one,” Lorre says . “This was not a game. This was drug addiction writ large. This was big-time cocaine, and in his own words, an ‘epic drug run’ that could have ended with either his death or someone else’s.” Lorre said he chose to reboot the franchise with Ashton Kutcher because he had little to lose, adding that everything with Sheen simply spiraled out of control: “He was a great friend and partner for eight years. And every time he got himself into trouble, we believed that there was healing that was going to come. I certainly believed that sobriety is something that he wants in his life, and I was wrong.” Why did he shut down production on Two and a Half Men ? “I didn’t want to be writing a sitcom while my friend died. Or worse, hurt someone else. We couldn’t be complacent. There was a tragedy unfolding right in front of us. There was violence and blackouts. On a certain level, if you’re looking the other way, you’re responsible. “You couldn’t do that much cocaine and work. It was falling apart. It was heartbreaking to be around here then.” Now, all seems okay for all parties, though. Two and a Half Men remains a wildly-popular show (around 15 million viewers per week) and Sheen has a new FX sitcom in the works. Lorre’s final words for his ex-underling? “I hope he’s happy, I hope he’s healthy. I hope he’s able to be there for his kids.”
Are you really sure that you want to spend $10 this weekend on a ticket to see Garry Marshall’s bloated holiday rom-com New Year’s Eve ? (That’s $10 plus the cost of whatever fast food therapy you seek immediately afterward to numb the pain and emptiness you feel after seeing Robert De Niro play a dying man whose only wish is to see the ball drop one more time.) If you think you are, then click through these 10 distressing stills from the set of the ensemble film as a last-minute test. If you get through them without breaking into dry heaves or mild sweats, you’re ready to see New Year’s Eve at the multiplex. Good luck!
Who are these beautiful, sharply dressed, slightly orange people gliding so effortlessly through a glittery, postcard-worthy version of New York in New Year’s Eve ? They’re stars, of course, a galaxy of stars of varying luminescence. New Year’s Eve is Garry Marshall’s follow-up to last year’s Valentine’s Day , which he also directed, and like that film it uses its titular holiday as a ruthless star delivery system in which a menagerie of assembled celebs sprints through a collection of interconnected narrative threads that briskly accelerate from alleged comedy to syrupy sentimentality.
Are Will and Jada Pinkett Smith headed for the land of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore? The latest issue of Star Magazine claims this high profile couple will soon announce its divorce, an allegation we’d have laughed off a few months ago, but remember: the same tabloid first reported Ashton and Demi’s demise . “They’ve been faking it for a long time and they don’t want to live a lie anymore,” an insider says of the Smiths. “Living and sleeping separately – and now Will finally walking out on Jada – have pushed them to their limit. They’re done.” Chatter over trouble in this 14-year marriage reached a pitch in August, following rumors that Will actually walked in on his wife doing Marc Anthony . But all has remained quiet ever since… until now. “They’ve been trying to work through it, but things came to a head in early November, when they got into a huge knock-down, drag-out fight,” this mole claims. “They put up a good front in public, but behind doors they really fight like cats and dogs. They’ve always had issues in their relationship, and now they’re bubbling to the surface.”
In case you needed another reason to love Justin Bieber… The singer granted a special birthday wish to a special young woman last month, sources tell The New York Daily News , arranging to meet Tyler Ann Zadroga prior to his appearance on The Today Show . Tyler is the 10-year old daughter of James Zadroga, the first NYPD officer to die of respiratory disease as the result of his work at Ground Zero on 9/11. “He made her day,” says Tyler grandmother, Linda Zadroga, told the newspaper, adding that she and her granddaughter also say in a VIP section during Justin’s November 23 performance on Today and, as a result: “I’ve got Justin Bieber’s Christmas album playing all over the house.” This act actually represents the second time Bieber has met the daughter of a 9/11 victim. In June, President Obama actually reached out to arrange a similar meeting between the artist and a young fan.

“I’ll spend months working with an actor, and I think I spent four months with Ashton,” the filmmaker said recently about his time prepping Kutcher for 2005’s Elizabethtown . But the actor, who was still starring in That 70’s Show at the time, refused to devote a few weeks to the ill-fated project co-starring Kirsten Dunst. At the time, Crowe realized, “This is not meant to be,” dropped Kutcher and replaced him with Orlando Bloom. Although the film bombed at the box office, Crowe still remembers it favorably: ” Elizabethtown was a movie made for all the right reasons, and people who connect with the movie really connect to it.” [ THR ]
