SMH: The commanding officer of Brooklyn’s 81st Precinct was savagely beaten by her estranged husband outside the Long Island home of another man she was visiting, authorities said. Deputy Inspector Juanita Holmes, 46, suffered broken ribs and needed to be hospitalized after Monday’s vicious attack at the hands of her husband, retired Hempstead Det. William Fowlkes. “I went outside to talk to my husband while he grabbed me and threw me to the ground,” Holmes said in a report to Suffolk County police, according to sources. Holmes said Fowlkes “punched and kicked me repeatedly” before driving away, sources said. “You f—ing bitch. You better stay there. You better not go home,” Fowlkes allegedly shouted after the beating, sources said. Suffolk County police later arrested Fowlkes on assault charges, criminal trespass and criminal mischief charges. Sources said Fowlkes suspected his estranged wife was having an affair. Santos told The Post that he and Holmes are just friends.
