Big Boi Purchases The OG Dungeon Studio Where OutKast Began

Source: WENN.com / WENN Well, that took long enough. The Dungeon Family might not mean much to the rap millennials of today, but it sure as hell holds weight with the Hip-Hop OGs in the know. So when Big Boi announced that he had become the proud new owner of the recording studio known as The Dungeon, it truly warmed our hearts. Responsible for giving us that sounds that made the ATL go ’round, the Lakewood Heights music lab is responsible for the sounds of OutKast, Organized Noize, and Goodie Mob. We’re kind of surprised he didn’t make this purchase at the height of OutKast’s popularity in the mid-2000s, but we’re not judging at all. We’re just glad that a piece of music history ended up in the hands of one of its descendants. Having recorded their classic ’94 debut album  Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik , OutKast also recorded ’96’s ATLiens a nd ’98’s Aquemini  at the Atlanta landmark. Did Ciara’s NFL Hubby Russell Wilson Clap Back At Future?

See original here:

Source: 2016 Billboard Music Awards Arrivals at T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas Featuring: Ciara, Russell Wilson Where: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States When: 23 May 2016 Credit: Apega/WENN.com Future just dropped a new album, The WIZRD , but a lot of the Internet chatter surrounding the Atlanta rapper is regarding his personal life. That was because he said when it comes to his baby mama Ciara, and Russell Wilson’s now wife, the NFL QB “do exactly what she tell him to do.” Now it seems that the Seattle Seahawks star took the high road and clapped back at the same damn time. Yesterday (Jan. 19), Wilson posted a photo Sienna, his daughter with Ciara, and Future Jr., his stepson and Future’s biological son, rubbing noses on the floor. The adorable pic was captioned, “All that matters. #Love.” Safe bet Future, who is in a custody battle with Ciara, wasn’t too happy when he saw that. So far nothing from Ciara, and don’t expect anything since she’s been letting the lawyers handle all the mess.

‘LHHMIAS2’ Recap: Trina Mediates A Peace Talk Between Joy And Shay

See the article here:

Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty We start tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Miami at Bobby Lytes’ video shoot for, “Bang Bang,” and Trina is there to support her cousin. This is really actually set up for Trina to discuss how she’s building her label, Rockstarr Music Group. Bobby Lytes wants to be down but Trina is still hesitant because she feels like working with family can bring unnecessary drama, so she’s cautiously considering Bobby. Veronica Vega is back. She has been working with Polow Da Don and here they have an urgent meeting in Atlanta. This meeting isn’t a good one. He tells her that he put up his house to finance her career and has spent over a million but the return hasn’t been worth it thus far. He’s tired of her going viral for all the wrong reasons and tells her it’s time to show and prove with the music, not beef and not slanging the n-word around like it’s going out of style. Veronica says she’s going to step it up, but you already know what happens in situations like this—she takes all her pain to her family (her grandma and sister) and explains what’s going on. Then she makes a teary plea about how she can’t fail because she has the burden of taking care of them on her shoulders. You know this is an attempt to humanize her since people think she’s a bully based on last season. Anyway, her relatives give her words of encouragement, yatta, yatta. We’ll see what she does now that she knows she has to do better. Gunplay meets up with Keyara to try to make amends. He brings her a kitten as a gift because she likes cats. And um… Anyway, the feline is cute and all but Keyara is still mad at him even after getting the gift, and she plays hardball. He mentions that he’s going to New York to do some press and wants her to come with him for a change of atmosphere and so they can talk about how they can move forward. Keyara neither says yes or no and says she just needs a minute to think about things but already gives him conditions under which she would go (like them not sleeping in the same bed, for example). This is how shocked we’ll be if she turns him down. Remember when Trina got Shay together at the Love and Hip-Hop Miami reunion last season? That situation stemmed from Shay’s beef with Trina’s cousin, Joy (over Pleasure P). Anyway, they still had tension from that situation so Shay decided to reach out to Trina to try to square away their issues. Shay actually comes into the situation turned down (even she knows that beefing with Trina ain’t the move), and explains her side of why she’s upset. Shay basically said she was upset because Pleasure P was shady about Joy throughout their relationship. She would always ask to meet Joy since that was supposed to be his bestie, but Pleasure P would hide her and generally make excuses. Trina brings up a great point, which is that Pleasure P is the one Shay really needs to be mad at and of course, she wants Shay and Joy to have a peace talk. Let’s cut to that moment… The episode winds down with Trina mediating Joy and Shay as the latter two talk aggressively to each other. To be fair, Shay came out the gate aggress and Joy just reacted. However, Trina is a good mediator and does a good job of reeling both women in and conveying both sides. In the end, Trina gets them to calm down and explains that they both need to grow up and move on. They seem cool for now, but will they drop the beef? We don’t quite know just yet. ‘LHHMIA’ Recap: Trina Cancels The ‘TNT’ Project Foreva!

See the original post:

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Miami is drama as usual, and there’s a lot going on. Spectacular from Pretty Ricky is living his best life. He has been splitting his time between LA and Miami. At this moment, we find him in LA, kicking it with Ray J and Fizz talking about his family drama. That family drama includes group woes (because Blue is his brother and Slick is his cousin) and his issues with his dad. He wants to get Pretty Ricky back together so they can tour and get some money, but they can’t stop fighting. His dad used to manage the group and they’re on the outs as well. Fizz and Ray encourage him to go back to Miami and get right with everyone.   Let’s fast forward a bit. We finally meet Khaotic —of course, he spells Khaotic with a K—anyway, he’s a new entry to the show and he’s friends with Miami Tip. Apparently, he has a thing for Joy and Miami Tip plans to introduce them at his next showcase. Later on, it happens and Joy is not impressed with him. Dassit. She literally looked at him like (he was acting silly though):  In other news, Trina has a new man. Remember last season when Trina went on a date with a man named Ray? It went well. Really well. They’re moving in together and for the umpteenth time Trina vents about the TNT project. There’s only one thing to do, have a chat with Trick Daddy. Hold that though. Amara La Negra catches up with Jojo, who of course fills her in on everything that has been going on. This means that Amara learns that people were talking smack about her at Jessie Woo’s brunch. You remember how people have been accusing her of being all up in folks boyfriend’s’ DM’s.  Amara La Negra neither confirms nor denies her actions but she says she doesn’t want anyone’s man and that she did she could have them. Jojo feels like the solution is to have a sit down with Jessie. Because those always go well.   Spectacular gets his chance to try to get Pretty Ricky back on the same page. Basically, Pleasure P and Blue get heated over some beef situation that happened in Cincinnati. Someone threatens to f–k someone up and it almost goes downhill. Security steps in and everything because Pleasure P stands up like he’s ready. However, they manage to calm down enough to come back and try this conversation again and finally get right. It looks like Pretty Ricky is back on…for now. Trina finally gets her moment to talk to Trick Daddy about the TNT project. He basically tells her that that situation from last week was her fault because she changed the setlist. Then he refuses to own up to his part in why the album hasn’t come out. Trina tells him that she has been doing her part and that the label gave up on him because he’s not doing what he needs to do. Basically, Trick is exhausting, refuses to take accountability and this convo goes nowhere. Trina finally has enough and says the TNT album is a dub. The episode closes out with that Jessie, Amara La Negra and Jojo sit down. You can pretty much guess how it goes. Jessie comes in hostile as she accuses Amara of flirting with her boyfriend and of stealing her ideas. Amara says that she has the wrong impression and that she’s just going off of what her man told her, but Jessie said she’s not just going off what her man told her and that she got the same info from other people. Amara actually keeps it classy and apologizes, but repeats that Jessie may not have the full story. Jojo gets irritated by Jessie’s demeanor and throws a drink on her. Security grabs Jojo. Amara calmly steps aside, but Jessie gets the bright and uncalled for idea to throw a Grey Goose bottle at her. Right on preacher’s kid. Jessie’s aim is trash so she misses, and Amara makes a good point: Not once did she disrespect her so that was really uncalled for. Jessie says Amara is faking the “America’s Sweetheart” routine. Amara doesn’t really try too hard to come off as extra sweet though, but whatevs. However, throwing a bottle at someone who wasn’t even aggressive with you isn’t cool. We know this is far from over so we’ll be back at it next week. On Fatherhood: “Amazing. It’s one of the best things in the world, if not the best thing in the world. It teaches you a lot about yourself, a lot about people and … just making sure all I’m doing is maturing and doing what I need to do. [It’s taught me to] focusing on clarity and saying what I mean, doing exactly what I say versus beating around the bush or skipping around things or not saying things because they make you uncomfortable. Just say what you need to say, get it done because she’s going to have questions and you need to have answers.” On Being Shook By Jay-Z And Beyonce At Coachella: “They told me they were fans and the show was great.
