Thank the Lawd for Fact Checkers! This fool better check himself next time. According to The Huffington Post : Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan said the unemployment rate has been rising, when in fact it has fallen by 13 percent over the past year. “Joe and I are from similar towns. He’s from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I’m from Janesville, Wisconsin. You know what the unemployment rate in Scranton is today?” Ryan said. “It’s 10 percent. You know what it was the day you guys came in? 8.5 percent. That’s how it’s going all around America.” Vice President Joe Biden challenged him: “You don’t read the statistics. That’s not how it’s going. It’s going down.” The national unemployment rate is in fact going down. It has fallen from 9 percent last September to 7.8 percent this September: its lowest level since President Barack Obama took office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Wonder how long this will last?? And we’re hoping this attention slore will just stop, go home, and be a nice wifey to Bruce?? According to The Post: Throw another Kardashian on the pile. Kris Jenner, the tireless “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” matriarch and mom-ager of the clan’s $65-million business empire, is quietly working on a daily talk show for Fox, sources say. Jenner, 56, has been hankering for her own talk show for some time now. She’s appeared all over daytime TV since the family’s reality show became a hit — guest hosting on “The View” and the CBS daytime talk show, “The Talk.” Last July, gossip site hollywoodlife.com reported that Jenner was “very interested” in hosting a daytime talk show with Khloe Kardashian as part of their $40 million deal with E! But now that Khloe is set to become a co-host — with Mario Lopez — of Simon Cowell’s “X Factor” starting next month, Kris appear ready to move on without her. The show is to be done by Twentieth (which, like The Post, is owned by News Corp). Spokesmen for Twentieth and Jenner did not return e-mails asking for comment this morning. Does her crazy azz really think people will watch? Images via WENN
Apparently her utilities just got shut off and the poor thang had to move out?!?! Rumors have been swirlin’ since Deion’s been fighting his questionable child support amount but if this isht is true, it’s another grimy azz move on his part…or is it? Sources have said that the former Football Wives star has been forced to move out of her house, because the electricity and gas have been shut off for lack of payment. The model, who is locked in a nasty divorce with former NFL player Deion Sanders, is having a hard time making ends meet, according to her publicist Kali Bowyer. Pilar’s attorneys filed an emergency request to get Deion to continue with his support payments. According to court documents obtained by RumorFix, Deion makes $161,565.25 a month and is worth $250 million. His attorneys are claiming the $10,500 in child support is extreme and six times what everyone else in Texas pays. Plus, they claim paying the utilities is not a child support expense. Do you have any sympathy for Pilar or is it time for her to step it up a little bit so she can make sure her kids lights and heat don’t get turned off??? Images via twitter
Wow…we figured she’d get off easy but this is ridiculous! Sarah Jones, the former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader , plead guilty today to sleeping with her 17-year-old student while she was a teacher at a northern Kentucky high school. In case you didn’t know, the age of consent in KY is 16!!! The 27-year-old cried while she admitted to “adult” misconduct and custodial interference as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. According to The Huffington Post… “I began a romantic relationship while he was a student and I was in a position of authority,” Jones said, her voice cracking as her family members wiped their own tears. Jones said the relationship began in February 2011 when the boy was 17, saying that the two had sex, that she sent him sexually explicit text messages and lied about the relationship to police. The teen had been in Jones’ freshman English class in 2008, and she was his peer tutor in 2010 and 2011 before he graduated at the age of 17 this year, according to Monday’s plea agreement, signed by Jones. Prosecutors said they were willing to make the deal because the teen, now 18, and his family were uncooperative with them and on Jones’ side. “We feel that it is a just and it is a fair result,” prosecutor Sara Farmer said. “It’s certainly difficult when a victim and his family don’t cooperate by not providing information, but it makes our case a lot harder when they’re actually proactive for a defendant, and in this case, the family was more than supportive of the Jones (family). They were proactive for them.” Part of the reason defense attorney Eric Deters said Jones was willing to plead guilty was because Judge Summe had denied his request to keep the text messages that she sent to the teen out of the trial…”They’re embarrassing,” Deters told reporters after the hearing. “They were steamy.” He also said that now that the teen is 18 years old, he and Jones “are free to be together” and pointed out that they left the courtroom together. He said that Jones will not try out to be a Bengals cheerleader in the future, and that for now, she’s working as a legal assistant in his office. Jones resigned as a teacher at Dixie Heights and from the Bengals cheer squad in late 2011 after four years with both jobs. Deters said at the time that she had done nothing wrong and stepped down because a rumor that she had become involved with a student became too much. Gross. All this trick got was five years of probation (with no jail time) and she doesn’t even have to register as an offender. Images via facebook
Way to spin your struggles growing up so you could seem “relatable” to the rest of Black America. This b*tch just got put on blast! Like many of her fellow Repubs, Mia is opposed to “anchor babies” (a racist way to say “immigrants having children in order to stay in the country”). Turns out, Mia was an “anchor baby” herself…and the Mormon follower just got her azz fact checked after her RNC speech spit all that talk. We quoted Mia’s shady azz when she gave her speech at the RNC earlier this month… The speech, which drew sustained applause, combined her family’s journey to the U.S. with references to civil-rights icons Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.‘Our story has been told over 200 years,’ she told the adoring crowd. ‘With small steps and giant leaps, from a woman on a bus to a man with a dream.’ ‘My parents immigrated to the U.S. with $10 in their pocket, believing that the America they had heard about really did exist. ‘When times got tough they didn’t look to Washington, they looked within…‘The America I grew up knowing was centered in self-reliance and filled with the possibilities of living the American dream.’ She claimed President Obama was dividing the country – ‘pitting us against each other based on our income level, gender and social status.’ ‘His policies have failed,’ she continued. ‘We are not better off than we were four years ago, and no rhetoric, bumper sticker or Hollywood campaign ad can change that. ‘Mr. President, I am here to tell you we are not buying what you are selling in 2012.’ And according to Mother Jones , Mia’s story doesn’t make a lot of sense: When she spoke at the Republican National Convention last month, Mia Love, a GOP rising star who’s vying to become the first black Republican woman elected to the House, wowed delegates with her parents’ up-by-their-bootstraps tale. She said their story of coming to America from Haiti with $10 in their pockets formed the basis for her own belief in self-reliance and her staunch opposition to government handouts…Though a child of immigrants, Love has embraced much of her party’s tough stance on immigration. She has implied that she would back deporting the US-born children of illegal immigrants so as not to reward “bad behavior.” Yet by Love’s own account, she is what Republicans derisively call an “anchor baby”— someone born to immigrant parents specifically to game the immigration system and secure legal status for family members. Love doesn’t talk about this aspect of her family’s immigration story now that she’s running for Congress, but she once said in a little-noticed interview that her birth on US soil helped bring her siblings to America. In January 2011, Love told the Deseret News that her parents, Jean Maxime and Marie Bourdeau, came to New York in the 1970s, fleeing poverty and looking for a better life. Love said that her parents immigrated legally, but were forced to leave their two young children behind in Haiti because their visa didn’t allow them to bring the kids. But, writes the Deseret News: There was an immigration law in place, however, that would grant the entire family citizenship if Jean Maxine and Mary had a baby in America. But there was a deadline. The law was set to expire on Jan. 1, 1976. On Dec. 6, 1975, with 25 days to spare, Mia was born in a Brooklyn hospital. In no time, her older brother and sister were sent for in Haiti and the family was re-united. Says Mia: “My parents have always told me I was a miracle and our family’s ticket to America.” It’s an uplifting story, but there’s one problem with this account. According to immigration lawyers and US immigration officials, there doesn’t appear to have been a law of the kind described in the article that would have conferred citizenship on Love’s parents, let alone her siblings, by simply having a baby in the United States. Though American immigration law did change in 1976, it merely limited the number of immigrants from the Western Hemisphere who could obtain permanent visas. According to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the law since at least 1924 has barred minor children from petitioning for permanent residence status on their parents’ behalf. Love’s birth in the US couldn’t have helped to reunite her family in America, say immigration lawyers contacted by Mother Jones. And, they add, if the Bourdeaus were in the US legally on a permanent visa, they would have been able to bring the kids, according to the law at the time. In case you’re still wondering if this is really a black woman speaking…check out her shady stances on public funding: -Proposes eliminating the federally subsidized school lunch program and the funding that supports special education in public schools. -Wants to cut the Earned Income Tax Credit in half…keeping millions of working people out of poverty. -Pushing to radically slash housing subsidies that keeps millions of poor people off the streets. Luckily, Mia is trailing behind her opponent by double-digits but her ties to the right are scary. The GOP has given her major funding; $1 million towards the race and Vice Presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have all held fundraisers for this sellout. Ann Romney offered up an endorsement and her son, Josh Romney, is the chairman of Mia’s campaign. SMH…this broad takes selling out to a whole other level! Images via AP/facebook
What would he do if he was on BET? Mitt Romney appeared on Univision Wednesday, but something was a little different about his appearance, his skin tone. Looking back at some of photos logging his every moment on the campaign trail, the Republican presidential nominee is usually not so shockingly tan. While his orangey-brown appearance on Univision could have been the result of bad lighting or a makeup mishap, left-wing blog the Democratic Underground concluded that Romney “dyed his face brown for his Univision interview.” The claim is not completely out of the ballpark. After all, as Gawker points out, Romney did say “it would be helpful to be Latino,” in a video secretly recorded at a campaign fundraiser earlier this year. Appearing at a campaign fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia, before his Univision interview, Romney showed a bit more color, but nowhere near the amount of bronze as seen on stage at the 6:30 p.m. ET filming. If Romney did indeed alter his skin tone, it was likely done in the past few days. Three days earlier, on Sunday, Sept. 16, Romney appeared much paler when he landed in Missouri. We’re just happy this fool didn’t wear blackface for the NAACP speech. By our estimate Romney looks “47%” more tanner and we’re not digging the convenient skin change. Do you think he’s just a victim of a bad makeup artist or a calculated (and horrible) plan to appeal to Latino voters? Source AP
Good Publicity??? Chris Browns camp let us all know that the he’s not shook one bit by those stickers placed on his CD’s for sale in London last week. Breezy actually thinks they’re good because they’ve helped publicize his new album. We’re not sure what to think about this one, but if you’ve got to bank on negative press in order to sell records it may be time to call it quits! Chris’ camp had this to say on the matter… “We were as surprised as anyone when the stickers appeared. Obviously someone must have snuck in to put them on a handful of CD’s… I guess they got their point across pretty effectively – with widespread coverage around the world, though, by the same token, quite a few more people now know there’s a new Chris Brown album out.” SMH…whatever sells right??
