A southern California woman turned herself in to authorities as the person who pepper sprayed video-game shoppers in a Walmart during Black Friday’s shopping frenzy, Los Angeles police said Saturday. The woman has not been charged because detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident that required firefighters to treat 10 people for exposure to pepper spray, authorities said. The woman’s name wasn’t released Saturday, police said. “We have her identity and we know who she is and where she is at. When appropriate action needs to be taken, we know where to find her,” said Officer Bruce Borihanh, a police spokesman. “She’s a suspect, but she’s not booked or anything, so we’re not releasing her name. “The detectives have a lot to do. They have to interview a bunch of witnesses, the victims themselves, and from there they will determine what action needs to be taken,” Borihanh said. The woman turned herself in Friday night at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire station in Northridge, California, Borihanh said. Gaga always has time for her devoted “monsters” Lady Gaga made one teenager’s day on Friday when he opened his email and found a video message from the superstar singer. Jacques St. Pierre, 17, was organizing an anti-bullying program at his high school in Toronto and sent messages to dozens of celebrities asking them to voice their support. It was Lady Gaga who came through. “I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you for being such a strong advocate of the LGBT community in your school,” she says looking into the camera. “There should be more little monsters like you.” In a TV interview with the CBC, St. Pierre revealed his own history of being bullied when he was younger. “‘I got called the gay kid, the fag, because I liked to be in the school plays. I lost my best friend because he joined in with the bullies. I’m not really sure who this Lauren Pope woman is, but she was invited to the British premiere of the new sensitive vampire Twilight movie so I assume she’s some sort of British model that nobody cares about. Whoever she is, she’s certainly got my attention in this flashy dress. A dress without sides? Brilliant. It’s basically a sheet or a really wide scarf covering the good parts. I hope this catches on.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part I is such a departure from the previous three Twilight pictures that you could almost consider it a rogue offshoot. Director Bill Condon steers the franchise away from visions of wan, suffering teens and fake-fur werewolf tussles and brings it closer to — if not necessarily close to — something resembling human adult sexual obsession and its attendant responsibilities and anxieties.
