Kate Middleton Baby Portrait: Blame the Royal Baby Watch, Heat Wave

Looks like the Royal Baby Watch and the heat wave gripping much of the Northern Hemisphere are officially starting to make people insane. Exhibit A: Spanish artist Kaya Mar dropped off a “tribute” to the mom-to-be at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing – RBW ’13 Ground Zero – on Friday. His painting features Kate Middleton making like the Mona Lisa, nursing the royal heir(ess) and extending one slender leg out from under her robe. For whatever reason, one of Queen Elizabeth’s corgis is also there. This may be the weirdest thing of all time, but at least it makes Kate Middleton’s official royal portrait look … a lot less awkward and a lot more royal, for sure. Gotta be the heat. It’s driven Kate out of the palace and into her parents’ house because they have A/C, and now it’s driven Kaya Mar out of his mind.

Sharknado Screenwriter Confirms: Sequel in the Works!

A Sharknado seque l is one step closer to becoming a reality. With star Tara Reid already on board for a follow-up to last Thursday’s Syfy movie, screenwriter Thunder Levin now says he’d gladly pen another film in this suddenly popular franchise. “It was like going to see Snakes on a Plane opening night in the theater,” Levin told Mashable of the social media reaction. ” Twitter users were yelling at the screen, shouting out lines and throwing virtual popcorn. It was great fun.” According Syfy , Sharknado delivered nearly 5,000 tweets per minute, although its actual ratings weren’t especially impressive. “I measure success by whether the audience enjoyed it,” Levin said . “We’re just trying to create entertainment here, so if people are happy and if they’re having fun with it, then I’d say it’s a success.” As for the Sharknado sequel? Levin says he likes the title SnailQuake . But we can do better, right, THGers? Sound off now with your preferred name for Sharknado 2? LeAnn Rimes Performs at Anti-Bullying Concert, Gets Emotional on Stage

LeAnn Rimes took a stance against bullying at the Friend Movement’s Anti-Bullying Benefit Concert in L.A. Monday night, at times getting very emotional. The country star was the featured performer at the concert, where she told the audience how she takes her fair share of bullying on social media. She has two words for the haters, at the end of the day: “Screw them!” LeAnn Rimes Gets Emotional on Stage LeAnn, who performed her hit “Can’t Stop The Moonlight” and Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” is such an amazing talent. Rimes was introduc ed by Lizzie Velasquez. Cruelly, some have dubbed Lizzie “The World’s Ugliest Woman,” but she overcame bullying – and an extremely rare medical disorder – to become a motivational speaker. LeAnn later tweeted a picture of them together: “Lizzie Velasquez is the most inspiring woman!!! So honored to have met her,” she wrote of meeting Velasquez, who endured years and years of bullying. Hopefully, we can all learn something from her example.

Carmen Electra’s Giving The Ladies A Show

Here’s Carmen Electra performing at Gay Pride Toronto 2013. I feel bad for Carmen because even though she’s wearing a super hot outfit, I don’t think it will be enough to distract the audience from her terrible music. I’m not sure if you’ve heard her song “I Like It Loud” (see video below), but I think the only way for me to personally enjoy it, would be for Carmen to perform it naked in front of me. Hmm… I wonder if she does private sessions? I’d pay for that!

Ice Cube Talks Early Lyrics Affecting Young Black Men, Zimmerman All White Jury, Barack Obama, And Farrakhan

We sat down to talk with a real hip hop legend, Ice Cube: Bossip : Cube, we are big fans of your whole persona and how you stayed true throughout the years… How’d you do it? Cube : It’s really about, trying to… reinvent, not yourself. Reinvent your approach to getting people to understand what you’re about. In each stage of my career, I’ve always tried to keep the audience I had from the jump. So, even with trying to reinvent myself like on Are We There Yet, people need to understand it’s a movie and my real fans knew that and understood. What comes up must come down… so I refuse to go up. If I keep my feet on the ground… I don’t have to worry about going up or down.
