Here Comes the New Men in Black 3 Trailer (To Underwhelm You)

Sony’s got quite the job ahead of them selling the mega-budgeted sequel Men in Black III , due in May, if the new trailer is any indication: See Will Smith drop lines like “I don’t have no problem pimp-slapping the shiznit outta Andy Warhol” and be transported to a futuristic time-traveling retro ’60s that looks and sounds a lot like the one Austin Powers came from. I guess the ’90s are the new ’80s, but this is just lazy. The new sequel follows alien-hunting Agent J (Smith) into the past to save Agent K ( Tommy Lee Jones ) by teaming up with a younger version of K ( Josh Brolin doing his best Tommy Lee Jones impression). Look forward to the usual broad aliens-among-us gags and that mind eraser schtick that audiences loved in 1997! Smith bemoans that he’s “getting too old for this,” and I’m inclined to agree. Aren’t we all? Verdict: Looks tired. Insert mind eraser joke here.

Miley Cyrus Working On ‘Big Bang’ Film

By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus in “The Big Bang” video Photo: Hollywood Records Back in November, Rock Mafia’s Tim James revealed to MTV News that plans were being formed to turn the sexy clip for their tune “The Big Bang” into an even-sexier movie starring its video girl, Miley Cyrus . Now it seems the project is well under way. E! News reports that Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, has been meeting with Suzanne Todd — a producer on films such as “Alice in Wonderland,” the “Austin Powers” films and “Memento” — to turn the music video into a full-length feature. Sources tell the website Miley is looking to reprise her role to pick up where her ghostly character left off. There’s no word yet if Kevin Zegers will return to the project. Rock Mafia’s Antonina Armato tweeted about the project, for which her team would reportedly help write the script. “Just had a Meeting with Tish Cyrus and Suzanne Todd for ‘Big Bang’ To be made into a Movie!!! #fingerscrossed,” she tweeted Monday. A rep for the group did not respond to MTV News’ request for more information by press time. Armato said the film will be “epic.” Regarding the “Big Bang” music video, James gave props to Miley and Zegers for their turn as star-crossed lovers. “The whole idea was to do something different,” he explained. “[The director] had such a cool vision for it … the vision was to let it fly, let the chemistry speak for itself. When we were watching them shoot it, we were like, ‘Wow, this is going to be really cool.’ “Kevin and [Miley] both brought their real acting game to it. … The chemistry is not by accident. On DVD: 9 Movie Spies MacGruber Should Have Studied

MacGruber , out this week on DVD, yawned in theaters, and I think I know why: satires of spy/secret agent/man-of-action genre stuff are already thick on the ground, and have been since the ’60s. There must be something inherently funny about the Cold War if it gave birth to a “spy” like James Bond, who didn’t even do much spying. (Aren’t spies supposed to be, you know, covert? Did Sean Connery ever do anything but announce his presence everywhere he went?) And now that we know the whole Cold War was a sham anyway, we can’t shake the silliness. Maybe it was all one big, extremely preposterous movie, like these 9 spy comedies:

Seth Green And Clare Grant Exchanged “I Do’s”

nydailynews American actor, comedian, voice actor, and television producer Seth Green and model-actress Clare Grant has exchanged their “I Do’s” last weekend at a private vineyard in Northern California, according to PEOPLE. Green and Grant got engaged on New Year’s Eve. No details about the ceremony have been released.  It was said that blushing bride Grant was working with designer Tarina Tarantino to create her wedding-day hairpiece, as well as her bridesmaid’s gifts, according to E! Online. Green, 36, who is best known for his work in the “Austin Powers” series, is also the executive producer and co-creator of Adult Swim’s “Robot Chicken,” for which Grant also does voice-overs.
