But while the mistakes of the bungling bandit might cause some amusement, police weren’t smiling today. ‘There were a number of serious threats to harm the attendant and she fled with a small amount of money,’ a spokesman for Queensland police told Channel Nine news. Police said the store employee fought back by throwing items from the shelves at the woman as she fled outside, where a man was waiting for her in a four wheel drive car. It sped off into the night, but the woman left behind so many clues to her identity that police are hoping for an early arrest.

Fan favorite Kristen Stewart , who we know has read at least part of the book , is certainly topping the list for some fan sites, while Nina Dobrev may pass on the opportunity to play the role if her “Vampire Diaries” co-star Ian Somerhalder lands the part of Christian Grey . Most recently, Selena Gomez decided to take herself out of the race, calling the role “a little too much” for her and saying that someone a bit older should take it on. Could that older someone be Emma Roberts ? MTV News caught up with Roberts at Seventeen magazine’s Pretty Amazing Contest event in New York, and it seems that the young star might be putting herself into the competition for the role. Fourth victim claims she suffered spinal injury during fight and plans to sue Drake. By Gil Kaufman Drake and Chris Brown Photo: We haven’t heard very much from Chris Brown or Drake about what happened at a New York nightclub last week. But we have gotten a string of comments from at least three women who claim to have been injured by flying bottles in the melee. The latest alleged victim spoke up on Tuesday, telling TMZ that she thinks Drake is the one to blame for the fight and that she plans to sue him over her injuries. The woman, Vladimira Brace, has hired a lawyer, who is claiming that his client suffered a spinal injury when she was trampled in the chaos that erupted at the SoHo nightclub W.i.P. in the early morning hours of June 14. Attorney Allan Friedman has reportedly sent a letter to Drake’s reps that alleges, “Your client instigated a brawl with Mr. Chris Brown … [Drake’s] actions were reckless and negligent in inflaming a violent mob … My client personally observed several members of [Drake’s] entourage throwing bottles of champagne with reckless and criminal disregard of the well-being of the innocent bystanders.” Drake’s spokespeople have denied his involvement in the fight, saying he exited the club before it began. Quoting unnamed sources close to Drake, TMZ said the rapper’s reps called Friedman’s allegations “laughable,” referring to the attorney’s claims that the Toronto MC has a “well-documented history” of making “vulgar, abusive and profane remarks concerning women.” Drake’s people noted that he was at the club with just a few security guards, unlike Brown and fellow rapper Meek Mill , who they claim had large entourages with them. And, in light of Brown’s past, which includes a felony assault plea in connection with his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna, Drake’s reps said the suggestion that their guy has an abuse history with women is hard to justify. Brace is the fourth woman to come forward with claims that she was injured in the fight. In addition to Brown, who posted a photo of his split chin, as well as the singer’s bodyguard, who sustained a head injury, NBA star Tony Parker and Australian tourist Hollie C., have claimed injuries from the fight. Also, a 21-year-old model, Ingrid Gutierrez, claims to have suffered a blow to the head from a bottle and her lawyer said she may require plastic surgery. Another victim, Lucy Pavlovsky, said she suffered a gash to the arm that required 12 stitches and she too is said to be considering legal action against the responsible parties. Wednesday night’s series premiere left us wondering everything but who shot J.R. By Kara Warner Jesse Metcalfe and Josh Henderson in “Dallas” Photo: How about that highly entertaining return to “Dallas” Wednesday night (June 13)? TNT’s reboot of the iconic ’80s hit struck a chord with viewers, 6,863,000 of them to be exact, which made it the #1 scripted series premiere on all of cable so far this year. Now that we’ve seen the first extended episode and been properly introduced to the new young castmembers , it’s time to throw out a few burning questions we hope to have answered over the course of season one. Whose Side Is Marta On? Despite the aggressive scheming set up by the male characters on the show, the biggest surprise in the series premiere was in the reveal of the bait-and-switchery by Marta Del Sol (played by Leonor Varela). She’s “working” for both sides of the Ewing family, or is she? J.R. told his son that he’s known her for years and that she’ll be the key to taking Soutfork from brother Bobby, and then we see John Ross and Marta having their own not-at-all-inconspicuous meeting on the 50-yard line of Dallas stadium. So who is Marta really working for? Bobby, J.R. or John Ross? How Soon Will Christopher and Elena Rekindle Their Romance? Clearly the love still burns between Christopher and Elena. We didn’t even need that heated scene re-hashing the abrupt end to their too-recent engagement to know that their flame has yet to be extinguished. So what now? If John Ross is responsible for sending the email that ended their relationship, there are trying times ahead, no matter the fact that Christopher just married his second love, Rebecca. We’re predicting to see a kiss between Christopher and Elena by episode three or four. Who’s Responsible for the Burglaries? Over the course of this first extended episode there were two burglaries, one at Christopher’s office and another at Bobby’s home. Was it John Ross? J.R.? It’s certainly easy to blame John Ross, since he is so obviously adept at manipulation and acquiring confidential information. And J.R. has no qualms about robbing his brother, but why make such a big show of it? And if it wasn’t the J.R.’s, who did it and how will they use whatever was taken against their targets? How Serious Are J.R. and Bobby’s Illnesses? Come on now, we just got the original Ewing boys back on the air and they both have life-threatening illnesses to deal with? Sure, it’s realistic that Bobby and J.R. are dealing with cancer or perhaps other age-related ailments, but we cannot have their lives hanging in the balance of this first season, at least not due to medical reasons. We’ll take a good ol’ bounty on their heads or something appropriately more dramatic. In the meantime, how long will J.R. and Bobby be dealing with these problems? Is John Ross Inherently Good or Evil? All signs currently point toward evil, given the fact that John Ross is likely the reason for the end of Christopher and Elena’s engagement, along with the burglary at Christopher’s office. Not only that, but he wants to wrestle Southfork away from his own flesh and blood and defy the wishes of his beloved grandmother. According to actor Josh Henderson, who plays John Ross, the troublesome young lad is going to be walking a fine line all season. “It’s funny people keep asking, ‘Who’s good and who’s bad?’ ” Henderson laughed. “We’ll have to see. I follow in my father’s footsteps basically, a little bit. ‘Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities,’ singer’s rep says in statement about the altercation. By Jocelyn Vena W.I.P. nightclub Photo: Shortly after Drake broke his silence about the Big Apple brawl between his camp and Chris Brown ‘s, insisting he was on his way out of the NYC nightclub at the time of the incident , Brown released a statement also proclaiming his innocence in the matter. “Chris, [girlfriend] Karrueche [Tran] and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at WIP,” his rep told GossipCop.com . “They sustained several injuries. Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further.” In addition to the two entourages partaking in the scuffle — which not only injured Brown, but also his bodyguard, Big Pat — one bystander was also injured during the altercation . TMZ reports that a 24-year-old Australian tourist, Hollie C., had been at the club when the incident occurred and was struck by a flying bottle. “Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me, consequently hitting me in the head,” she told the site. “I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness.” She was brought to the hospital, where she received stitches. She has since filed a police report. “I had to take the subway home with no money or jacket,” she added. “Nobody would even sit beside me. My friends were so scared because they did not know where I was.” Footage has since surfaced on GossipCop of Chris Brown and Meek Mill (who was with Drake and reportedly threw the bottle at Brown) leaving the club. Meek was spotted walking down the sidewalk, while Brown takes off his shirt before getting into a black SVU. Drake is also reportedly in the clip, but he is hidden in the crowd. Trey Songz was also filmed walking out of the club. The video, posted by We Mobbin DVD, implies that more footage will soon find its way online, for a price, including footage of the actual fight. Aussie singer gives fans a preview of his full-length Paradise album with four-track EP. And from the looks of Preview to Paradise, there’s a mix of everything, all with that Simpson touch. “I wanted to show each aspect of the album and they all fit together well, while being diverse at the same time,” the Aussie told MTV News on Tuesday. “With my single ‘Wish You Were Here,’ it showed the dance/pop side of my album. [With] ‘Gentleman,’ I wanted to showcase the singer/songwriter aspect of what I do and I thought they all went well together as well. “My favorite song? I don’t know! It’s like having four little kids,” he added. “You can’t really pick a favorite, but I do like ‘Wish You Were Here’ because it’s a great dance song and will be my single for the summer.” “Wish You Were Here” certainly proclaims his love for pop music, and having hit the studio with two of the biggest producers/writers working in the game only adds to the song’s pure pop feel, highlighted by the song’s pulsing beat and Simpson’s swoon-worthy admissions like “All I want/ Is to be home with you.” “It’s a really great feeling when you put a song out there that you feel could compete with artists like the biggest artists out there right now. It’s amazing,” he said. “I recorded this song with amazing producers Dr. Luke … and I wrote it with Taio Cruz and they both had a lot of experience and a lot of big summer hits. It’s cool to be able to work with people that have had experience with that [and] make it as best as it can be while making it my own.” However, while “Wish” is a dance-influenced track, he notes that his musical signature isn’t in the world of churning out club-bangers. “Being a pop artist you also have to have your own little twist here and there,” he said. “I feel like when you get to know an artist and you listen to all their music you kind of start to see things that they do in songs that make it [theirs]. I play a lot of guitar. ‘Wish You Were Here’ doesn’t have too much guitar in it, but I feel like that’s uniquely me.” In addition to dropping Preview to Paradise, the singer is wrapping up his own spat of shows this week. Then he will hit the road with Big Time Rush beginning in July.
