World’s Tallest Model Graces Magazine Cover

Talk about a big splash! An American model measuring 205 cm (she’s about 6’9″) is set to be featured on the cover of Australian magazine Zoo Weekly . You think you’ve seen it all. The model, named Eve, appears on the cover of the magazine’s current issue alongside a 162 cm-tall (5’3″) Aussie model.

Church of Scientology accused of torture and forced abortions

Kevin Rudd, the Australian Prime Minister, has voiced “concerns” over the Church of Scientology after a senator detailed explosive allegations about the organisation, accusing it of torture, embezzlement and coerced abortions. Nick Xenophon tabled letters to the Australian parliament from several former Scientologists, and alleged that the secretive church was an “abusive … violent and criminal organisation” which is hiding behind religion

POLITICS BUZZ : Nick Xenophon is an Australian senator who has just called for a criminal investigation into Scientology in his country. He calls it “an abusive, manipulative, violent and criminal organization.” Obviously, the fact that the guy's name is Nick Xenophon makes this way more awesome.

The New York Post Is a Hellish Cauldron of Racism, Sexism, and White Rage: Lawsuit

A former New York Post editor who was fired last month for complaining about a ludicrously racist cartoon has filed a detailed complaint in federal court accusing editor Col Allan of racism, sexism, and all-round dickishiness of the highest order. Sandra Guzman was an editor at the Post charged with running, among other things, a section aimed at Latino readers.
