Earlier this week, we reported that the turmoil was at an all-time high within the NFL, mainly between Antonio Brown and his now-former team, The Raiders. At the top of the week, AB was fined for missing two team practices, but that was just the beginning of the drama that later ensued. A few days after he came to social media complaining about his fines, Brown was punting footballs and threatening to punch his coach, who he then end up calling a “cracker .” The very next day, we got the most epic fake Nike commercial completely written, directed, and acted out by Antonio Brown himself. Not even 24 hours later, AB lost his $30 million dollar contract and got dropped from his team . Seems like this whole rollercoaster of a week would be a nightmare for any player, right? Apparently, that couldn’t be further from the truth. According to NFL.com, Antonio Brown is now signing with the New England Patriots and still securing his bag. GET YOUR MONEY, BLACK MAN! His new deal is for o ne year, $15 million total with $9 million as a sign-on bonus. If anyone saw this one coming, we’re gonna need you to give up the lottery numbers for next week. Besides proving to be the cream of the crop as far as gameplay goes, other obstacles stand in their way that are completely out of the players’ control. For some, its tuition that holds them back because college surely isn’t cheap. For a lot of these players, it’s injuries , which happen every single week. This weekend, one player had a medical emergency that isn’t seen on the field too often. Cincinnati College’s Kyriq McDonald suffered a seizure mid-play during their blowout at the hands of Ohio State. After the game, his mother confirmed that McDonald has a history of seizures. Hopefully, he can play again, but it’s definitely not worth risking your daily abilities to play football because as we all know, the wrong hit at the wrong time could end up being detrimental. Earlier this week, AB was fined for missing two of his team’s practices . Following that, rumors started to circulate that an altercation with his coach Jon Gruden would cause him to miss game one. Those rumors were confirmed when reports surfaced that Antonio Brown called Gruden a ‘cracker’ and ended up threatening him. Following that unexpected news, a lot of fans presumed that AB wouldn’t play–but that didn’t turn out to be true. Now, we get the next episode of this saga in the form of a youtube video uploaded by Mr. Brown himself. He released a short video in which he records a confidential phone call with his coach over a dramatic video about him not being as bad as they say. Weed Him Out: Massachusetts Mayor Popped, Allegedly Extorted Vulnerable Marijuana Vendors Out Of Six-Figures

Source: Boston Globe / Getty Jasiel Correia II Arrested On Federal Extortion Charges It seems like the mayor of Massachusetts thought life was a drama series and he could get away with extorting desperate weed vendors in the area, but instead, he’s been popped on extortion charges. According to USA Today , Jasiel Correia II , 27, was arrested Friday on federal extortion charges for allegedly operating a scheme to help marijuana vendors get approval to operate in exchange for hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes. Allegedly Correia agreed to sign non-opposition letters in return for significant six-figure payments from four marijuana vendors looking to open businesses in the city. The mayor also is accused of extorting $3,900 in cash and a “Batman” Rolex watch from a property owner in exchange for activating the water supply to his building. Federal prosecutors also Correia demanded his chief of staff give him half of her $78,700 salary in return for appointing her and allowing her to keep her city job. Four others, including the former chief of staff, Genoveva Andrade, also were charged with federal crimes. Correia appeared in Boston federal court Friday afternoon and pleaded not guilty. “I’m not guilty of these charges. I’ve done nothing but good for the great city of Fall River, me and my staff, and my team. I’m going to continue to do great things for our citizens,” he told reporters afterward, standing next to his attorney outside the courthouse.
