Tia Mowry is close to hitting her postpartum weight-loss goal, which is something worth celebrating due to the commitment required to make that happen. But instead of focusing on a number on the scale, she talked about the journey it has been to slim down her way, in her own time. Of course, we are in snapback culture, where many women feel the need to try and lose weight soon after giving birth or show off quick results weeks after delivery to impress followers and big-up themselves. It’s that culture that the 41-year-old says left her being fat-shamed during and after her pregnancy with daughter Cairo when she didn’t lose weight as fast as other people thought she should have. It’s not about trying to hurry up and get into the gym and get that six-pack. It’s kind of like how it was with my first child. I’m just taking everything as it goes. Cardi B , Chance The Rapper , and T.I. serve as judges as they take trips to their respective hometowns, watching a number of rappers perform for a chance to advance in the competition and, just like American Idol, make it to Hollywood. Now, we get Rhythm + Flow: The Aftershow . Hosted by Scottie Beam, we’re given some analysis on the first few episodes from a panel of hip-hop experts including Twista, journalist Ivie Ani, and DJ Hed. T.I. Talks Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri Working With The NFL Black folks have been side-eyeing the crap out of Jay-Z after he got in bed with the NFL for what felt like a shady (and pointless) partnership . Now, T.I. is weighing in on Hov’s decision, as well as Jermaine Dupri ‘s choice to partner with the Super Bowl when it was in Atlanta . But FIRST, in the exclusive Radio One clip the Rhythm + Flow host talks about becoming more involved with the community, saying he’s careful about categorizing himself as an activist … and here’s why: “I’m active, but I’m not an activist. I feel like an activist is more philanthropic. I’m in the for-profit biz. Activists are boots on the ground, they out doing the work, mobilizing, organizing, and sacrificing luxuries for the purpose of the greater good…” he explained. On Jay-Z and JD, he commented: “You see, at the time, my reason for not rocking with the NFL was because of how I felt they were manipulating the culture. I felt that they knew that Black dollars were important. Therefore, they came to Atlanta and I felt like they went all the wrong places and did all the wrong things to encourage the Black dollar at that moment in time. I feel like it wasn’t enough fair representation. JD was a good go, but I felt like it came after the slight — after I feel like we’d already been slighted — so, you know, he took a hard stand at it. I didn’t condemn him or criticize him for it. I told him I couldn’t participate. After eight long months on the inside, Mike Sorrentino was released from prison on September 12. And as anyone who’s been watching recent episodes of Jersey Shore knows — Mike’s absence has been keenly felt on the show. (How many more scenes in that Vegas hotel suite will be forced to endure?!) But if you’re among the many viewers who have lately found themselves missing the old guido group dynamic, fear not: The Sitch is back, and he’s ready to bring the heat with some spicy stories from his time in the clink. Sorrentino appeared on Snooki’s podcast this week, and in addition to weighing in on the latest drama involving his housemates, he opened up about life in prison and the joys of his newfound freedom. Mike began by confirming the obvious — the top item on his post-prison agenda was smushing with his wife, Lauren Pesce . After that, it was right back to making that green: “I feel fantastic,” Mike told Snooki. “I’ve lost 40 pounds in this process. I’m back reunited with my beautiful wife. “And working on the No. 1 TV show on MTV! I’m very grateful and just taking advantage of every moment, every conversation, every meal and just living my best life.” (Some possible shade directed at the ladies of Teen Mom there? We love it!) “When I first got home, all I wanted to do was spend time with my beautiful wife. I wanted to have a naked pizza party,” Sorrentino continued. “I wanted to watch movies. I wanted to watch ‘Avengers.’ I wanted to watch ‘Game of Thrones.’ I had to catch up on all that TV. I wanted to snuggle with my dog.” Unfortunately, his binge-watching was short-lived, as producers recognized the need to film Mike in his first days as a free man in order to maximize the drama: “And then the producers of MTV were like, ‘Listen, we need to get you in there ASAP,'” The Sitch went on. “So I pretty much took the ball and started to run with it immediately,” he explained. “I started working the day I came out. I saw you guys the next day, and then I think I moved in a couple days later.” “I was mentally ready, but at the same time, I was like, ‘Alright, this is my job. It’s time to man up. It’s time to rise to the occasion.’ Get that shmoney! I missed out on eight months. I wasn’t doing projects for eight months.” As for his experience on the inside, Mike says he benefitted from fame and was well-liked by his fellow inmates. (“I got all the extra food all the time!”) He confirmed the rumors that be befriended infamous Fyre Fest organizer Billy MacFarland and revealed that MacFarland was less than a model prisoner. “He supposedly smuggled in some sort of recording device, and he was caught with it,” Mike claimed. “They said he was trying to record high-profile inmates, and they threw him in the SHU. They sent him to a worse prison, I think, recently. That’s a bonehead move right there. And that’s not the only famous face who served time alongside The Sitch. Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is currently in prison for crimes related to payouts made to Stormy Daniels , and it seems his time at Otisville Correctional overlapped with Mike’s. And like the president, Sorrentino enjoyed demanding risky favors of Cohen: “I went up to him the first day, and he was a bit nervous, and I thought to myself, you know what? I’m gonna ask him to go sneak me some chicken out of the main line. It’s his first day,” Mike recalled. “I went up to Michael Cohen, and I said, ‘Listen, Michael Cohen.’ I’m there for like three-four months, I’m like, ‘Listen, bro, I’m gonna need you to do something for me.’ He said, ‘What is it, Mike? Anything!’ I said, ‘I’m gonna need you to go in main line. It’s your first day here. No one knows. I’m gonna need you to smuggle chicken from the main line and give it to me. I’m gonna hide it in my locker so that I can have an extra serving after my workout.'” Sadly, Mike says Cohen “chickened out” and didn’t go through with the meat heist. If only he’d shown that kind of backbone the last time a reality TV asked him to engage in some sketchy behavior! All-in-all Mike says his time behind bars was deeply unpleasant but not nearly as bad as it could have been due to his celebrity status: “I was blessed to shoot a lot of TV before I went into prison, so while I was in prison, I was on TV every Thursday with a smile on my face,” he said. “Like, ‘Oh, look, there’s my wedding!’ But I missed out on a lot of money from being in prison for eight months.” As for the work he was expected to perform, well … fame goes a long way with the masses, even behind bars. “I’ll be honest,” Mike said, “there was a guy in prison that did my job for me.” Hey, we’re just glad he’s back to his real job — stuffing his face and spouting inspirational cliches on television! Jenni Farley got really wasted on last night’s episode of Jersey Shore. Now sober, with her eyes wide open to what transpired, however, the veteran reality star has gone ahead and made a life-altering decision: She’s kicked that stupid loser boyfriend of hers, Zack Carpinello, to the curb. On the aforementioned installment of Jersey Shore , Carpinello acted extraordinarily strange around Angelina. First, he peppered her left and right with questions about her sex life. Like, REALLY specific questions. Then, while dancing with Farley and Angelina at a nightclub, Carpinello gave both women a kiss. Then, after Jenni passed out from too much alcohol intake, he basically grabbed Angelina’s rear end, prompting the engaged cast member to get the heck off the dance floor as quickly as possible. Here’s a screen shot of the inappropriate action: And here was Farley’s reaction after actually watching the escapades play out last night: “After seeing tonight’s episode I’m pretty hurt,” she wrote in a note posted to her Instagram account. “I feel disrespected by someone I called a friend and by someone who stated they loved me.” In this same message, Farley said she had no idea about her boyfriend’s behavior: “For 5 months I was kept in the dark about this. For 5 months I was naive, probably laughed at and made into a story line that will forever haunt me. My heart hurts on so many levels. “One thing I learned from tonight’s episode is know your value. Don’t ever lower your standards.” JWoww started dating Carpinello in March, a few months after her split from ex-husband Roger Mathews. (The ex-spouses share two children — daughter Meilani, 5, and son Greyson, 3 — and seem to finally be getting along after quite a contentious start to their post-marital life.) Jenni raved about her relationship with Carpinello in a previous Family Vacation episode, saying she was stunned to be with someone who is just 24 years old: “I never in a million years thought I would be dating someone younger than me.” But then also elucidating just why she likes him so much: “We’re completely different. Not my style at all. “He turns into this f-cking monster in bed. I was like, ‘Are you an escort? What’s going on?’ It wasn’t normal. I had to look up positions and stuff.” Well… okay then, Jenni! When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt separated back in 2016, the public reacted with the sort of shock that’s seldom elicited by celebrity breakups. Of course, Brangelina was no mere celebrity couple. Along with their six children, Pitt and Jolie were viewed by many as the closest a family could get to perfection. When they went there separate ways, the confusion was compounded by news of an extraordinarily messy split. Pitt was accused of abuse , and while the exact nature of his actions remains a mystery, we know two things for certain: 1. His behavior was bad enough (at least in Jolie’s eyes) to bring about the end of a decade-long relationship, and 2. His eldest son Maddox was somehow involved. Last month, Maddox left for college in South Korea, and there’s been much speculation as to whether or not he’ll receive any visits from his A-list dad. But if the latest reports from In Touch Weekly are to be believed, it seems unlikely that Pitt will be making any such journey. A source tells the tabloid that Brad and Maddox are still estranged, three years after that notorious incident aboard a private jet. “And for Brad, it’s a tremendous loss,” says the insider. The informant claims that Maddox’s low opinion of Brad has influenced how his younger siblings view their father, as well: “With Maddox overseas, Brad is also hopeful that Pax will also be interested in reconnecting without the influence of his older brother,” the insider added. Thus far, however, it seems that softening of harsh feelings has not occurred. The source adds that Maddox’s decision to study abroad has drawn a mixed reaction from his loved ones: “Maddox is leaving the tight-knit family nest and while there have been some tears, he’s super excited about starting this new journey,” says the insider. “They’re all going to miss their oldest brother, who’s always been kind and a very calming presence, even when he was little.” As for Maddox’s feeling toward his father, it seems they’re similarly conflicted. Already, the tabloid press has caught up with the 18-year-old and asked if Pitt will be visiting him at school : “Um, I don’t know about that … what’s happening,” he said. “Whatever happens, happens.” It may be a long time before that question is answered in any decisive fashion, but in the meantime, can we all agree that this kid deserves some privacy?
