Source: David M. Benett / Getty ‘Top Boy’ Actors Michael Ward And Little Simz Answer “Netflix Nine” Top Boy is a whole lot more than “that new Drake show”. And while Aubrey is certainly worthy of some credit for getting the cult classic series back onto the small screens, Top Boy has a history and mythology that long predates the 6 God’s influence. If you haven’t pressed play on Netflix’s renewed program then we highly suggest that you take ten hours out of your life to watch. It’s very, very worth it. Netflix UK & Ireland caught up with two of the show’s stars, Michael Ward and Little Simz, to get their insight on filming and their other professional experiences. Making It Rain On Them Hoes: California Woman Claims $522 Million Winning Lottery Ticket From June

Source: ERIC BARADAT / Getty California Woman Claims $522 Million Winning Mega Millions Jackpot From June Better late than never . A California woman has come forward to claim at $522 million jackpot from a winning Mega Millions ticket that she bought back in June of this year according to San Diego Union-Tribune . Laarni Bibal purchased ONE $2 Mega Millions quick-pick ticket from Sorrento Deli-Mart in San Diego and hid the ticket until she was ready to claim the cash. This woman sat on half a billion dollars for months before coming forward to claim her life-changing bag. She say she consulted the “Lottery Winner’s Handbook” on how to deal with her soon-to-be newfound wealth. We can’t IMAGINE living regular life for all that time knowing that them M’s are sitting in a “secret hiding place”. Bibal chose the cash option and was paid $340 million after taxes. She plans to buy a house and pay off her bills, but with that kind of money, we’re sure she’s gonna do a lot more than that.

Duggar Hurricane Relief Efforts: Did They Do More Harm Than Good?

While the United States was spared the brunt of Hurricane Dorian's impact after a close call, the storm brought utter devastation to the Bahamas, which may never fully recover from the impact. As a result, many who were loaded up and ready to assist in the clean-up efforts in Florida (or Alabama, if you went by President Donald John Trump's forecast), decided to set out for the Bahamas instead. Among those who made the trip were several members of the Duggar family, the controversial TLC reality stars turned humanitarians. And while assisting with hurricane relief efforts is generally a rather admirable pursuit, just about every project the Duggars undertake is motivated by their endless pursuit of the almighty dollar. Now, an investigation by some of their  critics say their Bahamas trip was no different – and they may have done more harm than good during their time in the ravaged nation. Take a look: 1. The Team Jason, James, John David, and Jana Duggar all made the trip, along with their brother-in-law Austin Forsyth. As you can see, the oft-maligned Jana Duggar didn’t make the cut for the group photo. 2. Odd Woman Out Many fans were upset that the Duggars seemed to be downplaying the contributions of the only female volunteer – especially since this particular female seems to spend all her time supporting her family members while getting none of the attention or credit. But those Jana-related complaints soon gave way to even more troubling concerns. 3. Keeping Mum Typically, something like volunteering as part of a hurricane relief effort is something that the Duggars would go on crowing about for months – admirable, and positive PR for a family that needs it. 4. All Is Not Well But if you follow them on social media, you’ve likely noticed that they’re strangely quiet aboug their time in the Bahamas. It’s like they were never there. Why is this, you ask? 5. Austin Comes Home Joy-Anna Duggar posted this picture to celebrate Austin’s return just a few days after he left for the Bahamas, and as far as we can tell, the trip was never mentioned again by her or anyone else. 6. Helping or Hurting? The reason for this unexpected silence is not that the Duggars decided, for once, to be humble about their “humanitarian” efforts. Rather, the lack of discussion about it appears to be prompted by the fact that, by all accounts, their time in the Bahamas was a disaster. View Slideshow

Read the original post:

Source: Infinity Ward / Activision The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta will push on into its second weekend. Players from all over have taken part in the highly-anticipated reboot of the first entry into the franchise. Now for the first time, they will get to battle across consoles. By now most of you have taken part in the open beta in what was dubbed the “Best Online Multiplayer” by Game Critics Best of E3 2019 . While putting a next-gen spin on the multiplayer action that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare first introduced them back in 2007. The beta let players test out 2v2 Gunfight, Ground War which supports up to 64 combatants, night gameplay maps (our favorite), and the fully immersive Realism mode. Starting Thursday (September 19), PS4, Xbox One, and PC players will duke it out as they will be stress testing Modern Warfare’s cross-play feature. The Call of Duty news doesn’t stop there. Call of Duty: Mobile now has a release date. The totally free-to-play experience built from the ground up for iOS and Android finally launches October 1 right before Modern Warfares launch on October 5. So you will be able to get your fix of COD on the go or at the office on your lunch break. We got a chance to play the COD: Mobile at Samsung’s Unpacked event in Brooklyn, and it was impressive and translated well to Galaxy Note 10 Plus handset. You’re definitely getting the same experience you have come to expect from a Call of Duty game on a console, just in the palm of your hands. Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz So if you don’t have a beta code, there is still time to secure one. You definitely don’t want to miss out on the second weekend. Audrey Roloff Mourns Friend’s Suicide, Shares Inspiring Message

Little People, Big World star and social media mainstay Audrey Roloff has been through a great deal over the past few days. By her own candid admission. In a revealing and heart-shattering new Instagram post, the TLC reality personality explains why she’s been going through some hard times. Or some “pretty intense roses and thorns,” as she and husband Jeremy Roloff sometimes say on their podcast. The main reason why? She has lost a friend named Jarrid Wilson to suicide. “On Ember’s 2nd birthday we found out that our friend Jarrid took his own life,” wrote Audrey online, adding in awful detail: “It was shocking and absolutely heart-breaking news. I couldn’t breathe when I found out and sobbed for hours.” “Ember saw my tears, “Sad mama?” We sat on the couch together and she kept giving my pats on my shoulder and saying: “It’s ok mama, no more crying, happy mama?” “When I kept crying she would wipe away my tears and say, “blow mama, blow” and she would show me how to blow just like I do with her when she’s upset. Cue more tears.” Seriously, now we’re crying. Audrey, who is expecting a boy in January 2020 , continued in her post: “Jarrid and his wife Juli have been such faithful encouragers and good friends since before we were married.” The 28-year-old Roloff continued: “As we’ve been crying, processing, and praying, we’ve felt all the emotions that come with loss – anger, confusion, hurt, shock, etc.” A woman of strong faith, Audrey then turned her focus to religion and how she has tried to cope with this tragedy: “This past week I just keep thinking about @itsjuliwilson and her two boys and praying in desperation.” Anyone who has experienced anything similarly tragic can  relate. “Praying that Lord would give those boys peace that surpasses understanding. That Juli would be flooded with prayer, love, encouraging truth, practical help, and compassion.” “That Jarrid’s life would be honored well.” “That people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and mental illness would not lose hope. And ultimately, that people who don’t struggle with mental illness would be compassionate.” At this point, much to our extreme admiration, Audrey wrote about the sort of troubles that inflict many people who take their own lives: Mental illnesss has a lot of stigma around it, unfortunately especially in the church. I think we can be better, especially in times of mourning, to be less critical and more compassionate. To be quicker to love than to judge. To be more like a two-year old comforting her mama. To be “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger; and abounding in love and faithfulness” (Psalm 86:15). And she concluded by first marveling over her daughter: While I was sitting on the couch with Ember mourning the loss of our friend, I realized how much more COMPASSIONATE my 2 year old is than most adults…⁣ And then by bidding her friend a sorrowful farewell: Sometimes people just need you to sit with them, wipe their tears, and blow. ⁣We love you Jarrid⁣. Well put, all around. We send our condolences to Jarrid, his family members, friends and loved ones.

Will Smith To Help Raise $50 Million To Combat Global Homelessness

Go here to read the rest:

A ctor Will Smith is big on social activism. He’s worked on initiatives centered on youth education, the improvement of inner-city communities, and the empowerment of underprivileged families. According to USA Today , his latest philanthropic project will focus on combatting global homelessness. Philly's own #WillSmith and Dame Helen Mirren will read a bedtime story during the one-night @BigSleepOuts fundraising event to help fight global homelessness. https://t.co/fZOvy3qI5i — NBC10 Philadelphia (@NBCPhiladelphia) September 17, 2019 The West Philadelphia native has partnered with The World’s Big Sleep Out project; a global campaign designed to raise funds for one million individuals around the world who are battling with displacement. As part of the project—which was founded by social entrepreneur Dr. Josh Littlejohn —individuals in 50 cities across the globe will sleep outside for one evening to raise $50 million that will be allocated to organizations that are on a mission to combat homelessness. During the one-night event, Smith will participate in a bedtime story reading in New York City’s Times Square and there will be simultaneous live performances by other entertainers held in Los Angeles, Chicago, Madrid, Amsterdam and other cities. The initiative is a collaborative effort between Social Bite, the Institute of Global Homelessness, UNICEF, the Malala Fund, and the Robin Hood organization and is slated to take place on December 7. “We want to send a message to the world’s political leaders to enact compassionate policy and find solutions for homelessness locally and the global refugee crisis that affects us all,” wrote Littlejohn in a statement on the initiative’s website. “We are a small, interconnected world. By collectively sacrificing our beds for one cold night we can reach out a hand of compassion and solidarity with those who need it most – homeless people on our doorsteps and refugees internationally.” Projects like The World’s Big Sleep Out are needed as homelessness is on the rise internationally. According to The Institute of Global Homelessness , there are 100 million people worldwide who have no housing. Smith and his family have been dedicated to supporting the homeless population. The announcement about his participation in this initiative comes just months after his son Jaden Smith launched a Los Angeles-based vegan food truck that provides free meals for the homeless.
