Source: Derrick Salters/WENN.com / WENN Wiz Khalifa Is Starring In A New Series On Apple TV+ Wiz Khalifa has a new acting gig on his resume, and it looks like it’s going to be a lot different than the Wiz we all know and love. According to Entertainment Weekly , the rapper will star as the personification of death in Apple TV+’s upcoming series Dickinson. This show is going to follow the young life of the famous poet Emily Dickinson . “We literally put Wiz Khalifa on our tone board as this would be the dream,” show creator Alena Smith told EW when speaking on their decision to cast such an unlikely lead. “Like he’s the aesthetic we want Death to have and then somehow we magically got Wiz Khalifa, so that was incredible.” Also set to star in the series is Hailee Steinfeld, who will play alongside Khalifa as a young Emily Dickinson. Khalifa and the idea of death will serve as Dickinson’s muse and lover throughout the series. The show blends hip-hop and poetry to convey their romance and will also infuse modern music and dialogue to make the overall story palatable for audiences. “I wanted Death to be the coolest guy in the world because Emily is in love with Death,” Smith continued. “Part of the story of the season is about her coming to a more realistic and mature understanding of Death, but where she begins is a kind of Goth worship of death. I just really wanted it to be someone that you would genuinely get excited to see.” We all know and love Wiz for having such a laid-back yet fun-loving personality in real life, so it will definitely be different watching him as the personification of death. Dickinson is set to premiere when Apple TV+ becomes available for users on November 1.
Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty Kurupt Reportedly Rushed To Hospital After Alcohol Relapse According to TMZ , legendary West Coast rapper Kurupt has reportedly been rushed to the hospital following an alcohol relapse on the set of We TV’s hit show “Marriage Boot Camp”. Kurupt reportedly missed two days of filming because he was recuperating in the hospital after a night of excessive drinking. He allegedly drank so much that he got sick and had to seek medical treatment. Kurupt has been transparent about his struggles with alcohol and was aware that the show wasn’t a friendly environment for recovering addicts. The producers on set reportedly kept the alcohol flowing for cast members, leading to Kurupt’s hospital stint. But after this incident We TV is contemplating banning drinks from upcoming seasons. Kurupt is set to appear on the show with his estranged wife, Jovan “Tookie” Brown.

This joint tour with Blink-182 seems to be a troubled one for Wayne, as this isn’t the first time he’s has run into troubles and possible cancellations. This time, the rapper is telling fans that police and the Ritz-Carlton are responsible. Weezy took to social media to explain that he wouldn’t be performing on Saturday night after being kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in St. Louis. “Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik’d out the Ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide,” the rapper tweeted, breaking news to fans. “Tht y’all f w me out here. This hiccup on tour isn’t the first problem Weezy has had while touring recently. Back in July, Lil Wayne cut his set short and warned fans that it “might” be his last stop on the tour with the Blink-182. He later clarified that he would not drop out of the tour and said, “I’m having too much fun with my bros.” Later that same month, he canceled his Tampa performance last-minute.

It highlights Gordy’s entrepreneurial start and features the narratives of legendary artists like The Jackson 5 , Stevie Wonder , Marvin Gaye , and The Temptations who were instrumental in the success of the label. In October 2016, the museum revealed plans for a $50 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion. As part of the project, there would be more interactive exhibits, a performance theater, recording studios, retail shops and meeting spaces added. So far there has been $18 million raised and Gordy’s contribution is the largest from an individual donor. “I’m excited about the future of Motown Museum and happy to support it,” 89-year-old Gordy said in a release. “Not only will the expanded museum entertain and tell the stories of talented and creative people who succeeded against all odds, but it will also inspire and create opportunity for people to explore their dreams the way I did mine. I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of that.” Other donors include the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, DTE Energy Foundation, and Ford Motor Co. Leaders of the museum say they want to expand their impact in the local community by fostering job creation and economic growth. Robin Terry —who serves as the chairman and CEO of the museum—says that with Gordy’s contribution the institution can move forward with solidifying itself as a world-class entertainment and educational destination. The two have been collaborating on music for years now, but they released their first collaboration album under their name Twenty88 back in 2016. Though rumors were flowing before that, this is the same year they went public with their romantic relationship, as well. Things got so serious that Jhene got Sean’s face tattooed on her, but fans started to suspect that they broke up once she got it covered about a year later in 2018. Their break-up wasn’t confirmed by either of them until more recently, as Jhene released a freestyle about Sean titled, “Triggered” and Sean followed that up with a single aptly titled, “Single Again.” Though this is about as much confirmation as someone needs to know these two are broken up, things got even more confusing once fans realized Jhene was the one singing on her ex’s song about being single. This suggests that the two are still good friends post-break-up and want to put their personal feelings aside to keep their working relationship alive–which Sean seems to have confirmed on Friday. Once again causing some confusion on the status of their rollercoaster of a relationship, the two were seen having lunch together at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills on September 13. Though they reportedly dined together, they left separately, and paparazzi caught Sean as he was driving away. Source: dan thornberg / Getty Former NFL Star Allegedly Stages Fake Hate Crime Former Washington Redskins player, Edawn Louis Coughman , was arrested on Thursday after police say he staged a racially-motivated burglary inside his Georgia restaurant. One day prior to the arrest, police were dispatched to “Create and Bake Restaurant” and “Coughman’s Creamery”, after a maintenance worker at the shopping plaza where Coughman’s establishment is located called about someone burglarizing the restaurant around 9:30 p.m. NEW: Former NFL player turned business owner Edawn Coughman was arrested for allegedly vandalizing his own business, staging a hate crime possibly for insurance money. Gwinnett Police say they found spray paint in his truck, a crow bar, and the spraypainted slurs were still wet. pic.twitter.com/a5UUFdNsTY — Hayley Mason (@HayleyMasonTV) September 13, 2019 Once officers entered the former NFL star’s spot, they found several racially-motivated words and symbols spray-painted on the walls and doors including the word “MAGA”. Police also found several booth cushions sliced open, broken mirrors, cut wires and damaged surveillance system. Shortly after, local police spotted a black truck without a license plate and pulled it over thinking it could be a possible suspect — turns out, it was Coughman driving the vehicle. He told them he noticed the damage and called his insurance company but did not call 911. Upon further investigation, the lead detective on the case sensed that something was suspicious about Coughman, so they arrested him and impounded his vehicle. In the truck, police found a crow bar used to pry open the back door of his business as well as several cans of black spray paint. According to Gwinnett County Police, Coughman conjured a premeditated plan to collect insurance money from his damaged business, disguising it as a hate crime, and selling off the undamaged electronics found in his truck. Coughman has been charged with false report of a crime, insurance fraud and concealing a license plate. He bonded out of jail shortly after, but is expected to appear in court sometime soon.
