Kerry Washington Stars In New ABC Series “Scandal” [TRAILER]

Read this article:

Kerry Washington stars in ABC’s new television series “Scandal,” created by Shonda Rhimes of “Grey’s Anatomy” fame. She stars as Olivia Pope, a professional crisis manager who formerly worked for the President as his media relations consultant. Here’s a quick synopsis: “Pope dedicates her life to protecting and defending the public images of our nation’s elite. After leaving the White House, the power consultant opened her own firm, hoping to start a new chapter—both professionally and personally—but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past.” The series is based on real-life Washington-based PR guru Judy Smith – former White House press aide under President George H. Bush, who also counseled Monica Lewinsky and Michael Vick, and worked on the prosecution of former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry. Love her. We will definitely be giving this show a chance. Original post:

Since Nicki Minaj burst onto the scene her buttocks have been the topic of many conversations. Is it real? Did she get butt injections? Why is it so big? These are just some of the questions people and fans want answers to. While Nicki doesn’t address those inquiries she does say: “I don’t mind the questions, I don’t mind the fascination. It’s all good. I mean…but I’ve said this before, it doesn’t define me. So, I try my best not to focus my energy on it. Like, if you guys focus energy on and spend energy on it, I don’t mind it. You know, people are sitting in the barbershop talking about my butt, it’s conversational. That’s what people are gonna do. As long as I’m talking about Nicki Minaj, I’m good.” Watch Nicki on MTV 2′s Full Throttle with Funkmaster Flex: Nicki Minaj Reacts To BET Award Nominations “Waits For Trina’s Name To Appear” BET Announces 2011 Award Nominations, Chris Brown Leads With 6 [VIDEO]

Keri Hilson attended the 59th Annual BMI Pop Awards last night where she sung Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” to honor songwriter David Foster who wrote the ballad for the “Bodyguard” soundtrack. We hated her performance , but we loved her dress. The floor-length gown with plunging neckline and gold and silver sequins looked great on her figure, but she could have toned it down with the hair & make-up – they make her look older than she really is. Rebecca Black Says O Music Awards Had ‘Great Energy’

Online sensation also talks about her ‘awkward’ newfound fame. By Aimee Curran, with reporting by Gabi Gregg Rebecca Black Photo: MTV News Regardless of whether you love or loathe the music of Internet sensation Rebecca Black, the “Friday” singer was a perfect choice to host the O Music Awards Fan Army Party at Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Thursday (April 28). After presenting the Fan Army FTW award to Tokio Hotel, we caught up with the viral phenom to find out what she thought of MTV’s first online awards show and how she’s adjusting to her newfound fame. Although Rebecca’s overnight success has garnered endless hate and even death threats in the past few months, she was overjoyed to have opportunities like hosting the O Music Awards bash. “It was so much fun,” she told us. “There was great energy everywhere, and it’s awesome to see all the fans.” The Fan Army FTW award was the most personal award of the night, based solely on the love and support of an artist’s fans. While the haters might be pretty loud, Black said she has just as many fans who are already talking about forming their own Rebecca Black army of support. “I’ve heard someone say, ‘Let’s call ourselves this,’ ‘Let’s call ourselves that,’ but I don’t think there’s an official one,” she said of her yet-unnamed fanbase. While her fans figure it out, Rebecca said she’s still adjusting to being a recognizable face in the public eye. “It’s kind of awkward, because I’ll be walking and I’ll have no makeup on, and I just don’t look good,” she laughed. “So they’ll be like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re Rebecca Black!’ And I’m like, ‘Ummm yes!’ ” What should Rebecca Black’s fans be called? Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds To Mars, Tokio Hotel Take Home O Music Awards

Chiddy’s record-breaking rap and performances from Lupe Fiasco and Matt and Kim light up Las Vegas. By Aimee Curran Lady Gaga (file) Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage On Thursday night (April 28), MTV’s first-ever O Music Awards took over Las Vegas. With performances and award presentations streamed from all over the world, the digital awards show recognized “about every gigabyte of music activity known to man,” according to hosts (and rock duo) Matt and Kim. The pair hosted the show from Vegas’ famed Fremont Street and kicked off the O Music Awards with a two-song set before introducing Cee Lo Green, who logged online to present the Most Innovative Artist Award to Lady Gaga. Gaga, who, according to Cee Lo, did “the best job saying ‘f— you’ to rules,” graciously accepted the O cube along with the award for Must Follow Artist on Twitter and told her following, “To all the monsters watching, surge on.” Chiddy Bang’s Chidera “Chiddy” Anamege used the O Music Awards as a platform to successfully beat the nine hour and 16 minute “Longest Freestyle Rap” Guinness World Record with a time of nine hours, 18 minutes and 22 seconds. He celebrated the feat by debuting his brand-new single “No One Like Me” to the Vegas crowd, complete with Mr. T, Kiss, Bret Michaels and Pee-wee Herman impersonators. Performances by Lupe Fiasco and Foster the People were neatly laced into the awards show, but the topper was Mumford & Sons, along with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show’s Austin, Texas, hoedown. Although he wasn’t nominated for any awards, Justin Bieber inadvertently became a star of the show when Lil B’s “Justin Bieber” video was shown, pumping up fans for the Best NSFW Video Award that went to 30 Seconds to Mars’ “Hurricane.” Accepting the award in a bathroom (as they are currently on tour), Jared Leto seemed genuinely excited and thanked fans for the support. Alex Goot, who won Best Fan Cover Award for his rendition of Britney Spears “Hold It Against Me,” followed up his win by singing a sweet and softly sung cover of “Don’t Let Me Fall” by B.o.B. Obviously no online awards show would be complete without the presence of pop-culture wunderkind Rebecca Black, who started her weekend early by “holding it down” at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino to host the Fan Army Party. Encouraging viewers to vote for their Favorite Fan Army, it was the last award of the night and went to Tokio Hotel’s Aliens. Did the O Music Awards get it right? Let us know in the comments! In this corner is Diary of a Wimpy Kid , an unassuming kids’ movie rushed into production after the relative success of the first installment. And the Kid just cleaned Snyder’s clock, despite the aforementioned IMAX surcharges and despite a large chunk of Kid ‘s ticket sales coming from discounted child prices.
