Taylor Swift seems a little old to be letting her parents run her career, but sources close to the singer say that’s exactly what she’s doing…and they’re running it right into the ground. Even though they’re now legally separated Scott and Andrea Swift apparently remain united over their favorite activity: micro-managing Taylor and the people around her. One anonymous insider tells the New York Post that Taylor’s parents are “difficult and controlling” and adds that the former couple is making it impossible for management and musicians to work with Taylor. “Taylor’s parents are incredibly difficult to deal with,” says the source. “They want to pay as little as possible and treat people like s–t, because they think those people are lucky to have the chance to work with a superstar like Taylor.” Terrible parents, eh? They may explain a lot – like why she’s dated half of Hollywood and Karlie Kloss is the only person who can stand to be around her! We kid, of course. Taylor may have her diva side, but she recently visited cancer patients , and celebs who’ve worked with her in the past have reported that she’s a pleasure. Jared Leto isn’t totally convinced by Jennifer Lawrence’s lovably clumsy antics at the Academy Awards, specifically the beloved star’s famous spills. On Sunday, cameras caught Jennifer Lawrence falling at the Oscars for the second straight year, this time in her Dior gown while waving to fans on the red carpet. Later, before presenting the Best Actor award, she yelled at someone in the crowd from the stage, saying, “Why are you laughing? What? Is this funny?” Leto, this year’s Best Supporting Actor winner, revealed that she was in fact scolding Jared and his mother and brother, who were laughing in their seats. “She said, ‘What are you laughing at?’ But what she didn’t know was that Ellen was on the side … making, pantomiming [motions like], ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall.'” “My mom and brother are all cracking up … I guess we don’t have any manners. You can take them out of Louisiana but you can’t take Louisiana out of them, right?” When asked about Jen’s infamous tumble that led to the on-stage exchange, Leto said, “You know, I’m starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act.” Last year, she similarly stumbled up the stage in a Dior gown while walking up the stairs to accept the award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook. Lawrence was the most tweeted-about star during the 2014 Academy Awards, so it certainly doesn’t hurt that her gaffes (and reactions) get a lot of attention. While the 2014 Academy Awards spent several minutes honoring movie heroes, one real-life hero didn’t get a chance to join them: 5-year-old “Batkid” Miles Scott. Scott, who is in remission from leukemia, made headlines last year when the city of San Francisco shut down to honor him and his ” Batkid ” costume. He been promised a spot in the Oscars show, only to be cut last-minute. Fortunately, he still got to meet a movie superhero in Spider-Man Andrew Garfield. So what went wrong? A spokesperson blamed scheduling conflicts: “Basically, because of the fluid nature of live TV production, ultimately the segment didn’t work.” Garfield, who was listed as one of the Oscars’ presenters, rehearsed with Scott the Saturday before the Academy Awards; he also did not appear Sunday. This prompted speculation that it was the actor who nixed the segment. Not the case. A rep from the Academy issued a statement defending Garfied: “Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family.” Thursday afternoon, Garfield’s publicist issued a statement as well: “In full collaboration with the Academy and the show writer, Andrew prepared a segment for the Oscars to honor Miles Scott as the true hero that he is.” “At (sic) some point overnight on Saturday/ Sunday morning, it was decided by those running the show that the segment didn’t work in the ceremony.” “They decided to pull it. Andrew and Miles were equally upset.” Batkid Makes Way Through San Francisco “The producers arranged for Miles and his family to visit Disneyland on Monday and Andrew drove down to visit them and to bring Miles a personal gift.” “Andrew did the right thing and anyone saying otherwise is flat out lying,” the statement said, reiterating that The Amazing Spider-Man star didn’t bail. Scott’s mother Natalie lamented the last-minute scratch: “I don’t know if they ran out of time, or if there was something they didn’t like … it got pulled so quickly that we didn’t have a lot of insight into what was going on.” It’s still unclear why the 2014 Academy Awards pulled it. In any case, the heroic Miles Scott finished his cancer treatments last summer, then got a special treat from the Make-A-Wish foundation in November. Dressed as a small Batman, he walked around San Francisco fighting crime in a story that earned national media attention and even a shout-out from the President. In typical fashion, Natalie Scott said her son is taking the Oscar snub very well. The morning after she posted an Oscars selfie that set a Twitter record, Ellen DeGeneres took to that social media network again and made it very clear: Hosting the Academy Awards is tiring! “Gopd mrorining!
