Shayne Lamas is feeling better, at least from the standpoint that she is now in stable physical condition, in the wake of her miscarriage this past Sunday. The Bachelor winner, 28, is still hospitalized but breathing on her own following a scary pregnancy complication, her husband Nik Richie said in a statement : “We would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the immense support we’ve received from our family, friends, fans, and media.” The founder of celeb gossip site The Dirty added, “It is really amazing how everyone has come together for Shayne, Press, and I during this extremely difficult time.” Yes … Press is the name of the couple’s daughter, whom Shayne and Nik welcomed in November 2011, a little over a year after they married in 2010. The statement continued with an update on Shayne Lamas , who is “breathing on her own now and doing better; we have high hopes for a speedy recovery. “At this time,” Nik added of her condition, “we are still trying to process everything that happened and we thank everyone again for giving us this time to heal.” Lamas was rushed to the hospital after she collapsed Sunday at home, requiring “life-saving emergency surgery” and the air of “a ventilator system.” Shayne was in a coma , but has now improved. “We are so very grateful to the hospital personnel and the doctors who saved her life last night,” Lamas’ father, actor Lorenzo Lamas, said in a statement. “Shayne is aware of her condition.” “Her family and her husband are here with her and love her so much. She will be remaining in the hospital until her doctors determine that she can be released. Get well soon, Shayne. The Bachelor Couples: Are They Still Together? Open Slideshow 1. The Hills’ Jason Wahler is the latest star to speak publicly about Philip Seymour Hoffman’s tragic death and their own struggles with hard core drug addiction. Wahler, best known as the bad boy beau of Lauren Conrad , opened up about his past and urged critics to realize that addiction is “more than meets the eye.” “A few years ago, I would host parties at my house in L.A. where there would be 50-100 people raging out of control,” writes the former reality star . “While everyone thought I was enjoying the party as much as they were, I was secretly going into the master bathroom and snorting as much coke and drinking as much alcohol as I could.” “When I was done, I would grab a beer and get back into the party as if nothing happened.” “When I heard of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death , it brought me right back to those days of partying where my addiction was so bad that I didn’t care who was around.” He goes on to add: “I didn’t care how loud the music was, or how fancy the party was. It wasn’t about the party at all … all I cared about was using and escaping reality even if it was by myself in a bathroom.” Now 27 years old, Jason Wahler has publicly addressed his alcohol addiction before, and appeared on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew in 2010. 21 Shocking Celebrity Deaths Open Slideshow 1. Catherine Giudici is officially a Lowe. The Bachelor winner took her husband’s last name following her fairy tale TV nuptials with Sean Lowe last month. The switch is official, as Catherine Giudici proudly declared, “The best day of my life. I’m a Lowe!” to her 500,000 Twitter and Instagram followers. The newlyweds have just returned from a romantic honeymoon in the tropics, and Sean says he is “so freakin’ happy” with how it all turned out. Married life does seem to suit the couple rather well. Courtland Rogers, Jenelle Evans’ husband and a hardcore drug fiend, has shared a video of himself getting high on the drug that killed Philip Seymour Hoffman . In the wake of Hoffman’s tragic demise, as well as the loss of beloved Glee star Cory Monteith just months ago, Radar and Rogers have jointly published this. In the sickening footage, ostensibly shared to show the impact of the narcotic, Rogers gazes into the camera, mixes the heroin in a small cap and fills a syringe. Rogers, who is still technically married to Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2, then flicks the syringe, slumps forward and injects it into his tattooed right arm. “I did relapse, see all my track marks,” he boasts to camera, then within seconds of shooting the heroin, Rogers slurs: “Now I am officially high as hell.” After kicking his habit in jail, Courtland Rogers says he is now clean and determined to help others avoid the dangerous drug by revealing his experiences. “Heroin gave me the most euphoric high,” he told Radar in an exclusive interview this week. “It was a feeling of finally being loved by something.” But that love quickly turned sour. He said, “It got to the point where I had to have it, where I’d do anything in the world to feel that high and not get sick.” “In the past six months, I have lost four friends to heroin,” Rogers revealed. “That is four families without their loved ones, one being my own cousin.” “It overpowers you and takes you away from everything! It kills.” “After a while, you do it just to not get sick. You don’t even get high, it’s just not to get sick. It is insane! You disappear from reality and forget about everything except [heroin].” But now, he says he has a new perspective on the world. “My life without it in it makes complete sense. I don’t have to do it to stay alive now and I can actually live my life to the fullest without any drugs.” Here’s hoping people learn from this cautionary tale. 21 Shocking Celebrity Deaths Open Slideshow 1. The trip taken by the crew on The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills Season 1 Episode 3 was in honor of Morgan Stewart and Brendan Fitzpatrick’s anniversary. They’ve been together for, like, 365 whole days. SO epic. Why go to Mexico to celebrate? Why wouldn’t they? To hear Morgan sum up the popular vacay destination, which is basically a Mexican suburb of L.A.” “I feel like Cabo is a party city where you go with a group of people, get drunk for four days and you never want to go back or have guacamole again.” Well spoken, Morgan Stewart. Grammy Awards, schmammy awards. Reality TV lovebirds Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici were married in a live Bachelor TV wedding event Sunday night! His dad Jay officiated the ceremony and called the romance of the duo, who got engaged in late 2012, “an epic fairytale on display for the whole world to see.” Sean Lowe , 30, watched Giudici, 27, walk down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier gown. Do you agree? ‘Bachelor’ Star Juan Pablo Says Gay Shouldn’t Be Allowed On The Show Juan Pablo, the latest face of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” is catching some backlash for his outwardly anti-gay stance in response to talk about there being a gay-friendly version of the show in the near future. via Hollywood Life He broke barriers by becoming the first minority to star on The Bachelor, but apparently he’s totally against the show pushing the envelope any further. In a new interview, Juan Pablo unveiled his harsh views on h*m*se*uality and railed against the idea of having a season of The Bachelor involving gay or [bi] people. “I don’t think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV,” Juan Pablo told The TV Page, making it plain and clear how he feels about homosexuality and that lifestyle. Juan Pablo then tried to elaborate on his feelings: Obviously people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up. Now, there is fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in the sense of a household-having people. Two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going into bed It is confusing in a sense. But I respect them because they want to have kids. They want to be parents. So it is a scale. Where do you put it on the scale? Where is the thin line to cross or not? You have to respect everybody’s desires and way of living. But it would be too hard for TV.” We’re pretty sure there aren’t many “kids” who watch The Bachelor….but do you agree with Juan’s comment about a gay-friendly “Bachelor” show setting a bad example for kids and being “more perverted?” Let’s discuss.
