Jake Pavelka Denies Cheating: "No Overlap" With Vienna and Ex-Girlfriend

The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka has been engaged to Vienna Girardi for about 20 minutes and he’s already catching heat for it – from ex Tanya Douglas. Jake’s previous girlfriend claims he was in contact with her after he finished taping the reality show, and claims Jake said he was coming back to her . Pavelka has denied any overlap between his past relationships and his Bachelor stint, during which he met and ultimately proposed to Vienna Girardi . Not so, says Tanya, who lobbed vague accusations of cheating at Jake in an interview earlier this week, although she was not identified by name then. She also claims they discussed marriage and that he said the women on the show, Vienna included, mean absolutely nothing to him. Anyone buying it? Tanya Douglas looks a little Vienna-like, no? The identity of Jake’s ex was revealed this afternoon, for whatever it’s worth. For his part, Jake denied Tanya’s claims to Entertainment Tonight this evening. “The relationship with [Douglas] was prior to The Bachelor , it simply did not work out,” he said. “There was no overlap with that or any other relationship.” “It is unfortunate that people are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna,” the hunky pilot continued. “I only wish everyone could be as happy for us as we are together.” What do you think? Not even a torrential rainstorm could ruin the joy of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney as they became the first couple from The Bachelor to wed last weekend. Trista and Ryan Sutter, who got married after meeting on The Bachelorette, were among the many guests from the ABC franchise on hand for the nuptials. Dark rain clouds and thunder converged on the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes just moments before the beautiful bride was to walk down the aisle. But when Molly Malaney arrived in her custom-made Monique Lhuillier gown to meet Jason Mesnick, her bright smile couldn’t be dampened by any rain. “It was the most incredible day,” she says , having married the perfect man of her dreams at long last “Our wedding was a moment of complete happiness.” Will Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi be the next couple from The Bachelor to walk down the aisle? Many people don’t think so, but don’t count them out. In any event, we couldn’t be happier for Jason and Molly. Dude took a lot of crap for dumping Melissa Rycroft on live TV, but it all worked out in the end. Sunday, we posted some photos taken from afar. Vienna Girardi won The Bachelor Monday night. Maybe you heard. This revelation came not only as a surprise, but a major disappointment to a large portion of the ABC series’ viewers, many of whom had fallen in love with Tenley Molzahn and/or Ali Fedotowsky and were hoping Jake would feel the same way. According to Us , it was all part of her EVIL MASTER PLAN! Vienna Girardi complained on the finale that her fellow contestants – particularly Ali, now the next Bachelorette , hated her. Perhaps they had good reason. The magazine speculates that Vienna “set a trap” for Ali, and her adversary fell right into it, eventually taking herself out of the running. Diabolical … Jake has apparently been punked by Vienna. Sucks for him . “You don’t see the things Vienna said to me. They were very hurtful ,” Ali said on the post-finale “After The Final Rose” special, and she took it personally. “Vienna would always thank us for coming to her ‘bachelorette’ or ‘engagement party,’ then tell us we were all going home,” another contestant reveals. “Ali would just call her out on it.” Fiercely competitive Vienna (“she always had to one-up people,” another castoff says) zeroed in on Ali as her main rival and vowed to TAKE HER OUT. “Vienna would say to Ali that she was going to shake her boobs in Jake’s face,” explains another show insider. And oh, how she shook said boobs. Hard . One of the girls in the house offers this theory for how Vienna was able to compel Jake Pavelka despite what some think are so many negative qualities: “I think Jake hasn’t ever been with a girl like Vienna and is experiencing a ‘wild side.’ Once she figured that out, maybe she was a little more seductive.” That about sums it up. In the mansion we stayed on different sides of the house. If Jake found something in her that he is so in love with, then I’m happy for them. On her fan favorite status: “Some people might be disappointed, but I hope they get over it knowing I’ve been walking around so happy and beaming. That experience was just what I needed, and to fall in love with Jake is just what I needed.” On people’s reactions since the finale: “It gets really emotional, actually. People come up to me at the store or Starbucks or where I work on a college campus and just hug me. I’ve had women cry, and tell me my story has resonated with them.” On her dating status: “I have not been dating since I got home.” On having no Bachelor regrets: “I will always appreciate this experience with Jake because he helped me feel confident, helped me dream again, helped me find what I need to keep alive when I meet that man I’m supposed to be with.” We hope you do find him soon, girl.
