A week prior to The Bachelorette finale, Emily Maynard came face-to-face with her potential suitors on last night’s Men Tell All special . What was the most challenging aspect of the reunion for this beautiful single mother? Seeing Sean Lowe again, Emily admitted in a new blog entry. “I didn’t feel like we had much closure, and it was really important to me that he knew that everything I felt was 100 percent real for me,” Maynard writes , adding that she’s thrilled Sean is now in a “great place.” Who will Emily actually end up with? Visit our section of Bachelorette spoilers for a few theories. Who got slammed the hardest on this week’s special? That’s easy: Kalon. “He made it pretty clear he wasn’t sorry, so I wasn’t going to sit there and let him think he was tricking me into thinking he was a nice guy,” says Maynard. “People like Kalon make me sad and I’m just glad I never have to waste another second thinking about him!” NOTE : The Bachelorette finale will actually air on Sunday night, so set your DVR accordingly and answer now: Who should Emily pick?
The first trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful dropped today at Comic-Con, and the Sam Raimi-directed prequel to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz , which is slated for a March 2013 release, looks like it will be a sight to behold. The movie tells how the Wizard arrived in Oz and became the ruler:
Steven Tyler is out . Jennifer Lopez says her time may have come . And now an Us Weekly source confirms that American Idol may go all out with a judging panel shakeup, by moving Randy Jackson from the main table to some kind of mentoring role. “[Show producers] think they need to freshen everything up now,” the Idol insider tells the tabloid, adding that Mariah Carey is in “serious talks” to replace Jackson and the deal may even get done shortly. As previously reported, other big names up for the panel include Katy Perry and Adam Lambert. But back to Mariah: Do you want to see her as a judge?
As the season’s dramatic climax approaches rapidly, The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard is the topic of more rumors than we can even keep track of. One day, she’s “madly in love” with host Chris Harrison … then “dissing” him and won’t give him her phone number! And she may be back with Brad. Oh, and she’s the “biggest diva of all time” according to so-called insiders. Can we believe any of this? Or even The Bachelorette spoilers re: the finale? According to sources close to The Bachelorette, Emily and Chris are “good friends” and reports of any romantic entanglement are “100 percent false.” In Monday’s “Men Tell All” special, Chris and Emily will reportedly joke around about all the ridiculous celebrity gossip reports about their relationship. As for reports of her being a diva during production, those have been more widespread throughout the year, and at least somewhat more believable. Still, a source says, “Emily is very sweet and stories of her being a diva are ridiculous! Our crew loved her more than anybody we’ve had, seriously.” Insiders insist Emily was nothing but sweetness and sugar all season, despite reports in tabloids labeling her the ABC show’s “biggest diva of all time.” So basically, don’t believe the hype … or if you do, take it with a boulder of salt. As for the finale, who should she pick , Arie Luyendyk or Jef Holm ?
San Diego Padres fan Travis Decker learned the hard way over the weekend that Facebook and baseball don’t always mix. At least not live baseball. He was struck hard by a foul ball in the upper deck of the right field stands at Petco Park while attempting to “check in” to the stadium on his phone. Decker was too busy trying to update the universe that he was at Petco, he failed to pay attention to the exciting action at Petco. To his own detriment. That’s gotta hurt, but give Travis credit for being a good sport at least: Your browser does not support iframes. Padres Fan Hit By Foul Ball This is the second most embarrassing video to come out of America’s Finest City in the past week, with the first being the epic San Diego fireworks fail. Pull it together, SD!
In articles-that-are-somehow-real-and-not-from-the-Onion news, a man who owed over $32,000 in child support was recently lured out of hiding. With the promise of a role in a new Jennifer Aniston romantic comedy. After getting a call from the film’s “producers,” Joshua Garlathy didn’t think twice about leaving his Hawaii hideout and heading back to Allentown, Pa. There, his ex-girlfriend had spent 19 YEARS trying to get Garlathy to pay the money he owes to support their kid to no avail … until an idea struck. The “producer” was actually bounty hunter Scott Bernstein, and Banished in Brooklyn – in which Garlathy would play “a small part as a guitar-strumming bad guy by the name of Dirty Nick” – is not a real movie, though it sounds right up Jen’s alley. Hope Dog Chapman is taking notes. Amazingly, this is not the first plot of its kind. In Alabama, Operation Iron Snare rounded up deadbeat parents with Alabama-Auburn football tickets. If The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard felt that her decision to cut Chris loose after last week’s hometown dates was hard, this one was near impossible. Things got even more serious, emotional and dramatic in Curacao as Emily went on very romantic dates with Arie Luyendyk, Jr., Sean Lowe and Jef Holm. Three worthy candidates, only two roses in play. Who would she pick? And how would she handle the fantasy suite card situation, given that she’s a mom? Follow this link for all The Bachelorette spoilers we know about the July 22 finale, then continue on for THG’s +/- recap of the penultimate episode! Obligatory Curacao nature montage and recap of the final three guys and their “journey” with Emily so far. Minus 4 for the even-longer-than-average filler. Emily has nice penmanship, even in sand. Plus 2 . Sean’s shoes match his blue shirt perfectly. What guy does that? Apparently Sean Lowe, Ames Brown and Pauly D. Minus 5 , in spite of the obvious effort. Look at Sean, getting all flustered talking about his ex … and a little more unnerved trying to open up to Emily. Cute or a red flag? Hard to read. Even . Time’s running out to go there, Sean. Minus 10 . His letter to Ricki made it dusty in here. Plus 25 . Still holding something back, though. Just say it man. Go on. Okay, that kind of counts for redemption. Gotta love that the fantasy suite card is from Chris Harrison. Host-pimp sure knows how to take care of his ridiculously attractive employees. Plus 15 . Plus 20 for Emily calling it a night solo. Even after the hot tub makeout session no less. Girl’s priorities and commitment are pretty impressive. Minus 5 , because as awesome as Sean is, do they lack a spark? Is he too safe? Not exciting enough for Emily, who seems to like guys with an edge? Jef Holm has vaulted from dark horse to full-on frontrunner status. “I’m so happy with where our relationship is right now.” What more can Emily say? “I hope to be the second biggest part of Emily’s life.” – Jef. Smart guy. Plus 10 . There’s a level of communication here that transcends Sean’s. “The sun is setting here in Curacao, but for me and Emily, our whole life together is just beginning.” – Jef/ Bachelorette staff writers. Groan. Minus 5. Emily says she’d move to “wherever you are.” Woman certainly knows what she wants, and more and more, that appears to be Jef. Plus 9 . This is the most serious date in Bachelorette history. Why are you still single? Would Ricki like me? Not leaving anything on the table, are we? Jef quasi-rebuffs the Fantasy Suite invite before Emily can do it to him. Guy’s been playing hard to get from the get-go. Interesting tactic. Plus 7 . “There is a time and a place for everything, and now is the time to bridle these passions.” Very mature move, but who talks like that? Minus 14 . “My connection with Arie was literally almost immediate.” – Emily. That makes literally almost no sense, but we totally get it, so Minus only 3 . “We always want to kiss each other, and it feels great.” – Arie. Well put. Minus 7 . Swimming with the dolphins looks awesome. But not as much as kissing, which is all they seem to do. All of his “top moments” involve kissing. Hey, they’re both good at it. Who wouldn’t want to make out with either of them? So Plus 11 . Ah, but back to reality … what does Arie Luyendyk, Jr. do on a Tuesday morning?! No one knows! Minus 10 , because physical chemistry and dream dates will only carry you so far, even on The Bachelorette . Jef may have the edge as a result. Arie sleeps until 9 and goes out to dinner every night? Not exactly stepfather stuff … but he does seem legitimately interested in Ricki, so Plus 7 . Emily makes Arie feel like a natural man. Or something. Plus 3 ? He’s SO good looking … Emily won’t give him the fantasy suite card because she doesn’t trust herself! The Bachelorette: Mom Edition definitely lacks the sleaze factor of past seasons. Plus 25 , even if it’s sometimes less entertaining. Fireside chat with Chris/filler time. Minus 8 . To paraphrase Chris from like every episode … this could be one of the hardest decisions in Bachelorette history. She seems genuinely interested in all three guys and unsure of who she’ll send home. Break out the tissues early. But she’s got great clothes. Plus 2 . Sean goes all in on his video message at least. Will it be too little, too late against Jef and his usual eloquence, or Arie’s surprisingly moving profession of love? All of them collectively, combined with the circumstances, move her to tears. Plus 10 . Long speech. Longer pause. JEF. Even longer pause. ARIE. Poor Sean. That ranks among the saddest goodbyes in recent memory. Minus 20 . EPISODE TOTAL: +47. SEASON TOTAL: +171. Did Emily Maynard make the right call sending home Sean Lowe? Who do you think she should choose on The Bachelorette finale?
The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard may have found Mr. Right in the end – read the latest Bachelorette spoilers here to learn who – but it wasn’t easy on her. The 26-year-old single mom became increasingly stressed out and worried about her looks throughout the season, according to a new report in Us . “She literally cried,” an insider says, if she was at all dissatisfied with her on-set hair and makeup, and “would throw a fit if she didn’t like her outfit.” “She’d break out in tears when she was unhappy about anything.” For a young woman who always seems so put-together, this report is a little surprising … or just false. Either way, it’s easy to see why she’s stressed. As a single mom to Ricki, who just turned seven, Emily Maynard faces a tougher decision than most of the ABC show’s stars that came before her. Any Bachelor or Bachelorette fan knows it may not work out after the hit show, but the prospect of failure is harder to stomach with a child involved. It remains to be seen if Maynard will accept a proposal from either Sean Lowe, Jef Holm or Arie Luyendyk on The Bachelorette’s Sunday July 22 finale. Tell us below: Who do you think she should choose?
Dr. Travis Stork can lay claim to one of the shortest engagements in the history of The Bachelor, splitting from Sarah Stone before the season even finished airing. Fortunately, his second engagement worked out a bit better. Saturday, The Doctors co-host wed his girlfriend of over three years, pediatrician Dr. Charlotte Brown. The couple got engaged last year on vacation in Hawaii. Surrounded by family and friends, the two gorgeous physicians exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony nestled in the Colorado mountains. Stork couldn’t have been more thrilled: “My days as a Bachelor are nearing an end!” he Tweeted. “My wedding ring has arrived… getting excited!” Congratulations go out to Travis and Charlotte. They were clearly great catches whose days as a Bachelor and Bachelorette were limited. As for the current season airing on ABC, The Bachelorette spoilers hint at an interesting resolution to the June 22 finale. Follow the link if you date!
Shay Mitchell is featured on the cover of next month’s Seventeen . The issue hits newsstands on July 3, but read on for excerpts from the actress’ interview, in which she dishes on each one of her Pretty Little Liars co-stars… On the other Pretty Little Liars : I’m so close with each of the girls for different things. Troian is my go-to when I want advice on something. She’s literally like her character – so smart. Lucy is so cute and southern. We joke around a lot on-set. And Ashley is like the fun, carefree little sister who I never had. On motivating others : When I was in high school, I wanted to be a counselor and I wanted to work with kids. I’ve been through the worst of high school. And I want to motivate people to live the best life that they can, because we’re only here for one life. On life lessons : Growing up, I wish I hadn’t tried so hard to fit in. I’d tell myself to just embrace what you were born with because it’s beautiful and you were made like that for a reason. It’s tough being a girl. I think we need all of the support we can get.
