From the very beginning, many of us predicted that the Ariana Grande-Pete Davidson romance wouldn't last very long . But even the most skeptical among us never thought it would flame out this quickly and in such spectacular fashion. Not only have Pete and Ariana broken up just months after announcing their engagement, it seems they're now venting their frustrations with one another publicly — Davidson through his comedy, and Grande via indignant tweets. It's a messy situation that gets more confusing with each new piece of information that comes to light. But fear not, reformed Grandson 'shippers, your friends at The Hollywood Gossip are here to help you make sense of this increasingly bitter breakup: 1. Downhill Fast Pete and Ariana’s relationship went from storybook romance to petty feud faster than you can say “Piggy Smallz.” 2. Donald Trump just ruined Game of Thrones. No, the President didn’t reveal any final season spoilers, although we’re pretty sure he wouldn’t hesitate to do so if it somehow meant Republicans would keep the House on Tuesday. But he did go ahead and use the show’s iconic tagline on Twitter today, making sure no one can ever think of it again without also thinking of our racist Commander-in-Chief. Here’s what we’re talking about: Game of Thrones arrived on the television scene in the summer of 2011 by warning its viewers that “Winter is Coming.” This was a nod to the dangerous White Walkers and how they would eventually breach The Wall and kill pretty much every human alive. (Don’t ask. Just Google or, better yet, go catch up Game of Thrones before it returns in mid-2019 at some point. The show is really good.) No three words are more associated with the most popular show of its era than these three. Winter is Coming . So… what did Trump just write on Twitter? In the legendary font of the iconic HBO drama? Sanctions are Coming . Most folks clued in to the political arena think this is a reference to sanctions against Iraq. And while many experts on the topic seem to believe this is a terrible idea, we’re not here to get into a complicated political debate. (Except to say that maybe the President of the United States should not treat such a significant idea/step as a game or a joke.) We are here, however, to simply say: Come on, Mr. President! To paraphrase critics of athletes who bring up social issues, can’t you stick to politics? HBO agrees with this assessment. The network has issued a brief statement in response to Trump’s use of its show’s tagline and font. It reads: We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes. It has also Tweeted, hilariously, “How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?” And star Maisie Williams, who plays wildly popular character Arya, also expressed her disdain on social media: Game of Thrones Season 8 will be comprised of just six episodes. However, each will be movie-length, around 90 minutes if not more, many sources have confirmed. But that isn’t the point right now. The point is that Trump has already made it difficult to enjoy professional football and Twitter and ensured that we’ll never refer to our soccer game carpools as “caravans” ever again. Alec Baldwin has spent the past two years or so punching back at Donald Trump by portraying the President on Saturday Night Live. But now the actor has been arrested for a different sort of punch back. As in: Baldwin has been arrested for punching some dude in the face. According to TMZ and NBC News, the veteran actor got into an altercation with his alleged unnamed victim around 10th Street and 5th Avenue in New York City on Friday. Insiders tell the aforementioned celebrity gossip website that Baldwin had a friend holding a parking spot for him… … but that this other fella dared to swoop in and take it. (It’s unclear at the moment just how the friend was holding the spot for Baldwin.) Baldwin took exception to what he saw as a parking spot heist, screamed at the perpetrator and then slugged him in the face. The victim, reportedly a 49-year old male, was then taken to a nearby hospital. And Baldwin was placed under arrest. The actor lives in the area and has a well-earned reputation for being a hothead. The only real surprise in this story is that the man on the receiving end of Baldwin’s fist was not a photographer. Over the past few years, Alec has mixed it up several times with paparazzi members in the streets of the Big Apple. He was arrested in May of 2014 for confronting a police officer… … he verbally abused a Daily Mail writer the year before . … and he hurled gay slurs at a different photographer in between these incidents, stirring up understandable controversy and drama in the process. Accompanied by his wife and his daughter during this latter confrontation, which took place almost exactly four years ago, Baldwin referred to his then-nemesis as a “c-cksucking f-g.” It was a very low moment for the outspoken Liberal. He apologized afterward and has remained relatively calm ever since. Until now, that is. Not long after news of Baldwin’s arrest went public, President Trump was asked about the incident and showed surprising restraint by responding with a simple: “I wish him luck.” Neither Baldwin nor anyone on his team has spoken out yet about the arrest. The actor has four children under the age of five with his wife Hilaria, as well as an adult daughter with first wife, Kim Basinger. He once labeled that daughter, Ireland, as a “pig” in an infamous voicemail he left for her as a child. But Ireland and her dad have since made up and the former has even defended her dad on Twitter, saying he deserved credit for dealing with what she called “anger management issues.” He may now need to have that credit revoked, however.

Welcome to the great marital debate of 2018. Earlier on Friday, multiple sources reported that Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber has entered a New York City courthouse… obtained a marriage license… and exchanged vows. That’s to say: Baldwin and Bieber are married!!!!!!! How exciting and unexpected, right? Yes, if these reports are accurate. But a pretty reliable source who is very close to the situation is telling everyone to please slow his or her roll. Because no marriage has actually taken place. “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” the 21-year-old model Tweeted Friday evening. But here’s the the thing; this message has since been mysteriously deleted, so make of that what you will. And here’s the other thing: People Magazine is sticking by its claim that Bieber and Baldwin are husband and wife. According to this publication’s sources, Bieber and Baldwin exchanged vows this afternoon and signed their marriage license. They are absolutely, 100%, legally wed. HOWEVER, Hailey “feels a civil ceremony and their ‘real’ wedding are two separate things,” one source explains, adding that the stars will hold a much bigger gathering somewhere down the line. Adds a religious source, dubbed as such by People: “What happened at the courthouse is a courthouse thing – a legal thing. But marriage is two people making a vow before God and the people they love.” (Just to be clear: That’s completely false. A marriage, by definition, is a legally binding agreement between two people.) TMZ, meanwhile, first broke the news of Justin and Hailey entering a courthouse in New York. It even quoted a witness who overheard Bieber telling Baldwin, “I can’t wait to marry you, baby.” But this celebrity gossip website says no ceremony of any kind took place, but we can expect one to be held some time next week. Oh, and in case you were wondering why Baldwin and Bieber moved up their alleged plans to get married in 2019… it’s NOT because she’s pregnant, TMZ writes. So that’s where things stand at the moment. No one is really certain what’s going on. But we do know that Bieber and Baldwin got engaged in early July. The pair has stayed close after just having what appeared to be a fling a couple years ago; and then reunited romantically this summer after Justin committed himself to his faith. They’ve since written some very nice things about each other on social media, with Bieber penning the following message to Hailey the day after their engagement news broke: My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! Y ou are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense! The thing I am most excited for is that my little brother and sister get to see another healthy stable marriage and look for the same!!! That was just two months ago, but Baldwin has made no secret in the past that she sees no reason to have a long engagement.
