Tributes are pouring in from fans, friends and former colleagues of reality star Diem Brown, who died at age 32 on Friday after valiantly battling cancer. Brown, who starred on several seasons of MTV’s Road Rules and The Real World spinoff The Challenge , is perhaps best known, tragically, for fighting cancer. By the time Diem Brown died , she had been diagnosed with cancer three times, most recently this summer, when it quickly spread and took her life. She had bested ovarian cancer twice before, beginning at age 23. Throughout her recent battle, family and friends were by her side and many posted inspiring, heartwarming messages of support on social media. Brown herself posted a heartbreaking tweet a couple of days ago. ” I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won’t & can’t rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I’m grabbing!” she said. So, so sad. The new trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies doesn’t give away much in terms of the plot of Peter Jackson’s sixth (and presumably final) Tolkien adaptation. What it does give us, however, is a sense of just how epic the Middle Earth send-off will be: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Main Trailer This is basically the sort of film IMAX was made for. Thanks to the power of CGI, the five armies look more like 5 thousand armies, and the menagerie of mystical creatures look as real as the wrinkles on Ian McKellen’s face. And if earlier films in the franchise are any indication, The Battle of Five Armies can expect a box office gross as big as its effects. Last year, Desolation of Smaug smoked box office competition and went on to earn nearly a billion dollars worldwide. Not bad for an adaptation of a 77-year-old YA fantasy novel. Of course, a lot is riding on this final installment. Jackson’s decision to pad the beloved novel with enough extra material to fill three very long movies was a controversial one. The critical consensus is that it’s worked out (for the most part) thus far, but if The Battle of the Five Armies fails to both wow audiences and deliver a satisfying conclusion, it may cast the entire trilogy in a new light. 36 Memorable Movie Posters 1. You may think that there’s no way Game of Thrones could top the Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane battle in terms of jaw-dropping intensity, and you may be right. Then again, we all thought that after season 3’s infamous Red Wedding scene, and look how wrong we were. Game Of Thrones: The Watchers on the Wall Preview GoT has a history of pulling out the big guns for the ninth episode of a given season, and Kit Harington – who plays Jon Snow on the series – says season 4 is no exception and the upcoming throwdown between wildlings and Night’s Watchmen will make the Battle of Blackwater Bay look like a Joffrey vs. Tyrion slap fight. “I think it’s as big as Thrones has gone at the moment,” says Harington. “I think it’s no secret that it’s the most expensive episode they’ve ever made and a lot of that is due to CGI.” We won’t go into spoiler territory by speculating as to where those CGI dollars may have been spent but HBO’s preview of the episode (which you can watch above) showed a brief glimpse of some wildling giants, and their feet alone looked terrifying. “I think it’s as big as TV gets,” says Harington with regard to the much-anticipated scene. So yeah, even if you’re still traumatized from Oberyn’s crushing headache (we don’t blame you), be sure not to miss the penultimate episode of season 4 this Sunday. It should be a doozy.
