The film is about a husband and wife, Gabe and Adelaide Wilson, who take their children to their beach house in the Bay Area on a family vacation. Unfortunately, things turn spooky fast when the family is approached by their psychotic doppelgängers who attempt to kill them. The trailer, which is about two and a half minutes long, leaves a lot to the imagination but one thing is for certain, when the film hits theaters in March, everyone will be there to see it. I wanted to forge this new mythology that explored our duality and the duality of the characters.” The best part of the trailer has to be the use of the iconic Bay Area hip hop classic “I Got 5 On It” by Luniz. For the first time ever, “I Got 5 On It” has been seen as eerie and creepy. It’s been used in a way no one has ever thought to use the song before. In literally no time at all, social media has already broken down the “Us” trailer and its use of “I Got 5 On It”. Twitter user Greg Carr (@AfricanaCarr) said of the song’s usage in the trailer: “ Not just a song. Or now a movie anthem. A diaspora expression that speaks to a basic African principle. Nobody rides for free. It ain’t about what you got “five on” It’s about you putting your resources in on whatever we fixing to do. “Us” indeed. Word. #IGotFiveOnIt #UsMovie “ Jordan Peele spoke on using the song for the trailer and as you can imagine, in contrast, it had nothing to do with African proverbs. In fact, Peele says, “That song, it came pretty simple, I’m making a movie in Northern California, that’s a bay area hip-hop classic and I wanted to explore this very relatable journey of being a parent [and] maybe some of the songs you listened to back in the day aren’t appropriate for your kids. So that was one level, and another part was, I love songs that have a great feeling but also have a haunting element to them and I feel like the beat in that song has this inherent cryptic energy, almost reminiscent of the Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack. Source: SEMI / Getty Surprise Tsunami Hits Beaches In Indonesia Killing Nearly 200 There was absolutely no warning before a deadly tsunami struck Indonesia on Saturday, which ended up killing at least 168 people and injuring at least 745, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, head of public relations at Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency, announced on television. According to the country’s meteorological, climatological and geological agency, the tsunami is likely to have been triggered by a combination of underwater landslides caused by volcanic eruption. Nugroho said that the country doesn’t have the proper equipment to alert that a tsunami threat is coming. “This is new thing for us,” Nugroho said, adding that Indonesia needs underwater sensors that would warn authorities of possible dangers such as this. “We need multi-hazard early warning system, and we need lots of it.” Nugroho also pointed out that tsunamis are much faster and less predictable than tidal waves, which are caused by atmospheric conditions. “We used to know that a tsunami happens after an earthquake. There was no quake last night. That is why there was no warning,” he said referring to the underwater landslides. He also announced that 30 people are still missing. The tsunami has destroyed 558 houses and heavily damaged nine hotels, 60 restaurants and 350 boats. Indonesia has unfortunately been hit by a series of natural disasters in recent weeks, including a strong earthquake that hit the island of Sulawesi only a couple months ago on September 28. In the towns of Baleroa and Petobo, rivers of soil swept away entire neighborhoods in the aftermath of the magnitude-7.5 earthquake and ensuing tsunami. The death toll from the quake is nearly 2,000. Another 20 people had their lives taken in October, when torrential rains and flooding triggered mudslides that wiped out part of an elementary school in Indonesia’s North Sumatra.

Christina El Moussa has given herself an early Christmas present… … it’s a brand new husband! The HGTV host took fans by surprise on Saturday by announcing that she has tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Ant Anstead. The wedding, described by People Magazine as a “winter wonderland,” took place at the couple’s home in Newport Beach, California. The couple shocked even the 70 or so loved ones in attendance by initially asking them over to charter a bus that would transport the group to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. But then… SURPRISE! It was time for a wedding ceremony instead. “We wanted to make it about the kids,” said Anstead to People Magazine . “It’s the six of us. We’re a blended family so it was really important for them to be a part of it.” El Moussa shares daughter Taylor, 8, and son Brayden, 3, with ex-husband Tarek. The two shot to fame as the co-hosts of the home renovation and real estate sale series Flip or Flop. Anstead, meanwhile, has a daughter named Amelie, 15, and son named Archie, 12, from a previous marriage. The two started dating in November of 2017, an occasion El Moussa marked last month via an emotional Instagram post. “@ant_anstead you have showed me what real unconditional love is,” Christina wrote after detailing their first, lengthy phone call. “You take me for what I am, flawed and a bit crazy,” she added at the time Fast forward a few weeks and… bam! The stars are husband and wife. “We wanted it to be rustic romance,” explained El Moussa to People of her second wedding, telling the outlet that she wore a lace dress by designer Ines Di Santo. We couldn’t be any happier.” Christina and Tarek divorced back in 2016, following reports that they got into an argument and then Tarek stormed off into the woods with a gun . The pair actually still host Flip or Flop together and have only said kind things about each other in public. This has long seemed like a legitimately amicable break-up for all involved. “Tarek is happy for Christina,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He’s moved on but still cares about her deeply.” As for her new man and new life? Christina says she’s just glad that the secret is finally out. “Every day we were checking the internet to see if anyone found out,” she told People. “Then the day we went to get our marriage license, the guy working was like hyperventilating, excited. We had to tell him this is a huge secret. No one knows.” Did everything go smoothly in the end? Yes, she concludes: “It was just perfect for us. Everything we wanted.”

Danielle went on to say that Paul – who is still in a relationship with Cara – has continued to contact her and wants to be unblocked because “we are important in each other’s lives,” in his words. “I made a lot of excuses trying to rationalize his behavior and I wasn’t able to come to terms with the fact he was able to hurt me like this,” she says. “I believe I was shown the person he wants to be but something is holding him back from it.” How can he possibly still want Maltby in his life? Danielle has a theory: “Somewhere in his mind, he has made himself believe that it’s ok to continue to tell me he needs me, misses me, still loves me and wants to fix everything. “Actions speak louder than words. “Today, I can’t explain today. I’ve just had enough… “Some days are ok, some are really good and I had a great night last night, but today, my place is a mess and I can’t get out of bed and honestly, I just hurt. I’m working on it though.” We’ve all been there, right? At least in some extent, in some way. Maltby concluded her post with a yellow heart emoji. All we can say in response is to hang in there because this, like all heartbreak, really will pass. Even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. And also: You can do so much better than Calafiore.
