The Bachelor Recap: Fly Fishin’ For Love, Throwin’ ‘Em Back

After the return and exit of Shawntel Newton last week, The Bachelor settled back into its normal routine of ridiculous dates, cat-fighting and emotional turmoil Monday. The Bachelor spoilers we’ve read actually didn’t include much on this episode, including who would get the boot. So it was interesting to watch unfold in that sense. Ben Flajnik took the ladies on a BREATHTAKING horseback riding date, and later fly fishing, getting the women wet in a way they never imagined. Most likely. One lucky bachelorette also won a private show from country singer Clay Walker … but was there a rose in tow? And Courtney Robertson , as always, was insane. Please, join us for THG’s +/-

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season Finale Recap: Pandora’s Dream Wedding

After a fairly dark season with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ,we’re finally headed towards the light for the finale and thanks to Pandora, it’s not white but pink. Let’s break down the event of the season in THG’s +/- review!! But before we attend the wedding, let’s hit the bathroom. I have to laugh at Adrienne’s horror when Paul invites her in to help with his enema. Plus 10 for her reaction. I don’t know what Paul’s thinking but that’s so not happening. Other than airing an entertaining public service announcement on getting a colonoscopy, is this segment really necessary? Minus 8 because I don’t think anyone needs to watch several minutes of Paul passing air. Maybe we can all get that IV sedation to go. Over at Kyle’s, she and Mauricio must be discussing which dress will look the least flattering on her because I can’t stand any of her choices, least of all the one he picked out. Minus 9 . For a woman with money Kyle could use better taste in clothes. Camille doesn’t have that problem. She just looks better and better this season. Life without Kelsey obviously agrees with her because she’s rockin’ that dress. Plus 10 . Back at wedding central, Lisa’s starting to freak out a little because Kevin Lee isn’t there. His assistant Anie looks quite capable but Kevin failed to mention he’d be manning another event up until a couple of hours before Pandora’s wedding. Not cool. Minus 15 . But everything moves right along and I almost expected twin makeup artists but triplets? Plus 7 . Only in Beverly Hills. Son Max wanders home for the wedding and I have to agree with Lisa. That mohawk looks like a dead squirrel on his head. Someone please help him with that. The wedding is simply gorgeous, from the flower chandeliers to the enormous rose covered cake. Pandora does have a fairy tale wedding. Plus 20 . Lisa and Ken are beaming with happiness.

Tim Thomas, Boston Bruins Star and Playoff MVP, Snubs Obama White House Visit

Congratulating the Boston Bruins on the 2011 Stanley Cup championship, President Barack Obama welcomed the team, with one notable omission, to the White House. Goaltender Tim Thomas, the team’s linchpin and only the second American player ever to win playoff MVP, having posted two shutouts in the Final, skipped the event . Thomas said months ago he would not attend due to political and ideological differences with the Obama administration, and he stayed true to his word yesterday. Bruins team president Cam Neely said he could’ve forced Tim Thomas to go, but did not do so, and feels the decision was Thomas’ and the team honors his choice. “Everybody has their own opinions and political beliefs. He chose not to join us,” said Neely. “We certainly would have liked to have him but that’s his choice.” “All the guys came except for Tim. It’s his decision and his choice.” While his politics aren’t common knowledge among many fans, Thomas hasn’t hidden his leanings as an unabashed Glenn Beck fan and “true Tea Party patriot.” On the one hand, when the President asks you to visit the White House event, shouldn’t you just go, regardless of political differences with the administration? On the other hand, should Thomas be praised – whether you agree with his views or not – for using a unique moment to make a political statement of his own? Thomas will no doubt lose a lot of supporters over this, but you have to at least respect an athlete who uses his fame or influence for something he believes in. Right? Mere hours after Heidi Klum and Seal confirmed their divorce, interviews between Seal and Ellen DeGeneres (airing today) and PBS’ Tavis Smiley (Friday) hit the web. The topic of his separation was not off the table. Not even close. About to embark on a new album tour, Seal is more than willing to openly speak about what shocked us – and himself, apparently. “I think we were shocked,” he said. Seal on Ellen “You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say ‘I do’ and you say ”Till death do us part.’ Those vows hold value,” the singer told Ellen. “They are not just words. These things happen. We pretty much said how we feel and made it clear in the release statement.” “But, for intents and purposes of this show, you just grow apart after awhile. You try and you work through it and the thing that you quickly realize when you are married and you become a parent is you do the best that you can.” “It makes you actually appreciate your parents a lot more.” “The thing that I’m most proud about this great woman who married – and I really do mean that from the bottom of my heart – is that together she has given me four incredible gifts, four beautiful children.
