Duggar Date Night: Married Couples Pile Into Van, Ditch Kids With Jana

The Duggar family took date night to a new level Sunday, as Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar joined kids Josh, Jill, and Jessa, and their spouses for an evening of fun. The rest of their 19 Kids and Counting? At home with Jana Duggar , obviously. Josh, Jill and Jessa Duggar, and their spouses Anna Duggar, Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, joined Jim Bob and Michelle for a photo Josh put up on Twitter. “Quadruple-date with these people!” the 26-year-old father of three children himself (soon to be four) captioned the photo of the family posing in a minivan. That family really needs a customized, stretch minivan of some kind. The quadruple Duggar date follows Jessa and Jill’s double date earlier this month with husbands Ben and Derick, which put to rest whispers of a feud. There had been talk of Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar feud , but a dinner party put that to rest. Jill wrote: “@jessaseewald and @ben_seewald are here for dinner!” “So fun hanging out with our siblings! #familydinnner #19kids.” You know who hangs out with her siblings a lot? Jana Duggar, the family’s oldest daughter, and the one left in charge of the little ones in many situations. Or when anyone in the family does anything, basically. Jana Duggar Photos: So Beautiful, So Maligned 1. Jana Marie Duggar Jana Marie Duggar is so beautiful … and put upon, supposedly, by a family that relies on her to help take care of the others but never have a life of her own. If that’s true, it’s sad. Is it time for her to break free? The saintly, ever-patient Jana has become so put upon that she’s even being edited out of episodes of the family’s reality show in order to quell fan outcry. Don’t expect that to work in the Social Media Age, though. 19 Kids and Counting fans are passionate and know that the show isn’t the whole story. Scrubbing her from TLC doesn’t make this shining star invisible. Not as a human being. Not as a human being. Speaking of the family reality show, it returns Tuesday, February 17, 2015 with updates on Jill and Derick’s life as newlyweds, and footage from Jessa’s wedding. Should be a lot of great stuff for fans of the Duggar clan. Things you should NOT expect to see when you watch 19 Kids and Counting online this spring: Jim Bob’s shock when he was told Jessa and Ben would be sharing their first kiss in private, as he reportedly told producers to edit that out. Jinger Duggar walking in on Jessa and Ben consummating their marriage at the church, which supposedly happened to the horror of guests. Jana Duggar, in general. 9 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family 1. Dates Without Chaperones The Duggar parents often accompany their kids on dates in order to maintain “accountability” and “keep things from going in the wrong direction,” per Jim Bob. The girls are fine with this, as being alone with men puts them in grave “moral danger.” When the parents aren’t available, their older siblings will often tag along, making every date a group date and a family affair.

Jessa Duggar Responds to Online Rumors, Posts Inspirational Bible Passage

Jessa Duggar isn’t letting rumors surrounding herself and Ben Seewald get her down, responding to the online uproar just as you might expect she would: With an inspirational Bible quote. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good,” Duggar wrote on Instagram alongside a screen shot of a Bible passage, which reads as follows: “Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.” “Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God.” “For it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'” Moving stuff, for sure. Is it a direct response to rumors that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had sex at their wedding and being discovered by her younger sister Jinger Duggar? We cannot say. We don’t even know if she’s aware that the rumor exists, but given how savvy Jessa and Ben are with social media, we would not be surprised if they knew. The response also makes perfect sense in this context, refusing to address or respond in kind to their critics, but to leave it up to their Lord to decide. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Photos 1. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald: In Love Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald in one of their many sweet Instagram moments. Her shirt sums it all up, really. Jessa, 22, and Ben, 19, decided to have their first kiss in private after their November 1 wedding, to the shock and dismay of her parents Jim Bob and Michelle. Then the rumor hit the web and spread like wildfire: Seewald and his bride did more than lock lips, according to one blogger among the 1,000 guests. A Christian fundamentalist blog claims the two consummated their marriage while in a private church room and Jessa’s maid of honor Jinger, 20, saw it. The blogger stood by the story despite reports that the story was all a hoax , and says that people shouldn’t criticize Jessa (except for not locking the door). Sex, the alleged Duggar Deep Throat muses, is for Man and Wife, so if Ben was getting it in once the marriage was Christened, legal and official, well … It was just the couple glorifying God . Deal with it. As for some other celebrity couples who have supposedly caught having carnal relations in public, the Christian blogger might be somewhat less accepting … 7 Celebrity Couples Who Had Sex in Public! 1. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Miley and Liam were apparently big fans of public sex. Sources say they were once busted doing it a under a table during a fundraising event.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald: MARRIED!

Continuing a banner year for her famous family, 19 Kids and Counting cast member Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald tied the knot Saturday in Arkansas. The couple, who recited their own wedding vows in front of an estimated 1,000 guests, were saving their very first kiss until after they’d said “I do.” Anyone else hoping to witness it was left hanging, however. “They wanted their very first kiss ever to be in private,” Pastor Mike Schadt, who married the couple , said later. “It was important to the both of them.” He spoke to the crowd about the couple’s big decision and asked Jessa’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to show the wedding crowd a kiss. “So, now you’ve seen a Duggar kiss,” Schadt said. After spending some time alone with each other, the new bride and groom posed for pictures and later exchanged several sweet kisses at the reception. The first, however, remains their memory alone. The reception was also missing another traditional feature. The duo chose to have ice cream sundaes instead of cake, of which Jessa isn’t a huge fan. Jessa also chose a blush gown, not the usual white, from Tesori Bridal in Fayetteville, Ark., because she just felt it was the perfect choice for her. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Photos 1. Finally, the loving newlyweds were cheered on by the massive crowd who blew bubbles in the air as they left their reception in a horse-drawn carriage. Engaged in August on the 11-month anniversary of when they began courting, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald wasted little time planning their big day. Hey, when you’re all in for life at ages 21 and 19, respectively, and have been subsisting on side hugs for over a year, you might as well get down to it. Jessa thus becomes the second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to get married in 2014, and the third of their 19 children to tie the knot overall. First born son Josh Duggar is married to Anna Duggar and has three children of his own, while Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard June 21 in Arkansas. Appropriately, Jill and Derick’s special wedding episode aired this past Tuesday night on TLC, just in time to pass torch along to her younger sister. If you watch 19 Kids and Counting online , you can bet your bottom dollar that there’ll be a Jessa and Ben wedding event before too long. We cannot wait. As for Jana Duggar … she’s always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Don’t even get us started on Jana or we’ll get fired up and ruin this positive article. #FreeJana! Sorry, had to. Anyway, congrats again, Jessa and Ben!!! 9 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family 1. Jessa Duggar Wedding Countdown: Invite, Registry Details Revealed!

Young Jessa Duggar is gearing up to be a bride this coming weekend, when she will officially become Mrs. Ben Seewald in front of her friends and family. Her many, many friends and family members. This is the Duggar family! Jessa’s wedding invitation has been revealed, featuring a sweet photo of the soon-to-be married duo along with the location and more. Check it out below: Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Photos 1. Jessa Duggar Wedding Invitation This beautiful wedding invitation beckons you to the nuptials of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. If only we could go. “Mr. & Mrs. Jim Bob Duggar request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Jessa Lauren Duggar to Benjamin Michael Seewald,” it reads. The pair will wed Saturday at First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark. Jessa, 21, got engaged to Ben Seewald , 19, who popped the question in August after 11 months of dating the beautiful 19 Kids and Counting reality star. “We are so blessed to be engaged!” they said in a statement then. “God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds – especially the wedding bells!” The couple’s registry includes an array of items such as an Apple MacBook Air computer, a bamboo cutting board shaped like Arkansas and a pink hair dryer. Probably for Jessa, not Ben. Gonna go out on a limb right there. 9 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family 1. Dates Without Chaperones The Duggar parents often accompany their children on dates in order to maintain their “accountability” and “keep things from going in the wrong direction,” per Jim Bob. The girls are fine with this, as being alone with men puts them in grave “moral danger.” When the parents aren’t available, their older siblings will often tag along, making every date a group date and a family affair. It’s the second wedding in six months for the Duggar family, which celebrated the marriage of Jessa’s older sister Jill Duggar to Derick Dillard in June. Jill, the fourth oldest of the 19 Kids and Counting , is currently expecting her first child (they went to work fast) and has gotten to work on a registry of her own. Their Walmart wish list, like their wedding registry, is predictably modest, filled with essentials for the baby and items like Dr. Pepper (for real) for mom. Eldest child Josh Duggar is married with three children, while twins John David and Jana Duggar are still on the market … the latter rather notably. Can’t wait for Jessa and Ben to make it official!

19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 Recap: The Wedding Countdown is ON!

On TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 Tuesday night, Duggar family fans saw the countdown to Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s wedding in full swing. We know how THAT turned out, if you know what we’re saying! NOTE: We’re saying they got married and she’s pregnant. Just because we all know the happy ending doesn’t make 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 12 any less fun to watch, of course, as we go behind the scenes. With the wedding right around the corner, Jill’s parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar are hosting weekly counseling sessions with the soon to be newlyweds. Not that they need them. These kids have good heads on their shoulders and are clearly all in when it comes to the Duggar family dating rules and such. Meanwhile, Jill’s siblings, from the lovely Jana Duggar all the way down to the littlest ones, are starting to realize that she’s leaving the nest, and it’s bittersweet. In this week’s counseling session, the pair talks finances, and Derick – a hard worker who knows how to save, and be frugal – is cut from the same cloth. Next up is making sure their temporary home – the fixer upper Jim Bob bought not too long ago – is furnished before they move in after their wedding. Naturally, that means used furniture and electronics. The auction turns out to be a blast, and by the time it’s over Jill and Derick have almost everything they need for their first home together. So sweet! One thing we can all be jealous of when we watch 19 Kids and Counting online is home renovations and moving. They have the skills AND the manpower! Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Photos: True Love Timeline 1. Their First Meeting (Sort Of)! The Arkansas natives grew up within 45 minutes of each other, but didn’t meet until late 2011. Jill recalled when Derick stopped by while caroling with a church group, and not long after, “Derick contacted my dad and asked if he would be a prayer partner during his two-year term in Nepal.” With all of Jill’s siblings pitching in, and Ben Seewald to boot, there’s nothing they can’t tackle, giving new meaning to the term strength in numbers. Perhaps the coolest part is that even when they’re not naturally inclined to do a job, as we saw when they redid the carpeting, they’re willing to learn. Meanwhile the Duggar extended family starts to arrive for the festivities, including Jill’s brother, the first of the 19 kids Josh Duggar, and his wife Anna. They have three kids of their own, born around the same time as some of Josh’s siblings, making their aunts and uncles nearly the same age as them. Crazy! Josh also helps Jill and Derick secure a slick black truck for their wedding “getaway” vehicle, borrowing it from a friend for the special day. What a guy. Meanwhile, Anna joined the Duggar sisters at Jill’s new home for a decorating party, and even though they have a blast, they are sad to let Jill go as well. Jill is also feeling a bit nostalgic during one of her last outings with her sisters – to get their nails done – even as she can’t wait to marry the love of her life. That’s the way life goes, sometimes. Jill and Derick’s wedding special will air October 28, just two weeks from now. We have a feeling the episode will be as magical as you expect and more.

Ben Seewald’s Dad Defends Jessa Duggar, Says Her Critics Are "Hitler’s Doppelgangers"

Ben Seewald’s father, Michael, is weighing in on some of the criticism Jessa Duggar recently endured, calling out the critics of his soon-to-be-daughter-in-law. Specifically, he’s calling the critics of 21-year-old Jessa “Hitler’s Doppelgangers.” Yes, he said that. So how’d we get to this point, you ask? Here’s a refresher: After visiting Washington, D.C., Jessa commented on the Holocaust on abortion in an Instagram essay that resulted in some pretty significant backlash. The Duggars, as you know if you watch 19 Kids and Counting online , or read any celebrity news sites lately, are unabashedly religious and pro-life. Jessa also believes Earth is 6,000 years old , but that’s neither here nor there. Well, she’s marrying a young man in Ben Seewald that shares her convictions, as does his family. Michael Seewald proved this by going OFF on her detractors … “Bravo, Jessa, for daring to speak out against one of the great evils of our time even if it means that Hitler’s doppelgangers are enraged,” Ben’s father writes. “Maybe this is why Rush Limbaugh calls radical feminists ‘Femi-Nazis’.” Michael’s full missive describes in detail how he believes that “abortion also is the extermination of a certain class of people deemed unworthy to live.” Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Photos 1. Jessa Duggar Wedding Invitation This beautiful wedding invitation beckons you to the nuptials of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. If only we could go. “The powers that be have legalized murder just as they did during the Holocaust. Any woman who chooses to may go to an abortion clinic and have her preborn baby violently killed.” “In Hitler’s Germany there was legal discrimination against Jews. In our society we may legally discriminate against our own children and eradicate them.” “Tell me how this is not the same thing.” Some many view statements such as godly, and vital in terms of speaking truth to power. Others may think of Seewald’s rant as hate speech in and of itself. Jessa Duggar, for her part, did not go nearly as far when lamenting the human rights atrocities she was so moved by when she visited the Holocaust museum. The controversy isn’t likely to wane anytime soon, whichever side you’re on. As the criticism intensifies, the Duggars and their supporters keep digging in. Will comments from Ben Seewald ‘s family and the like hurt the popularity of the TLC family? Or only make fans more inclined to tune in, whether they agree or not? 9 Things BANNED in the Duggar Family 1. Woman Jailed For Helping Man Tattoo Smiley Face, Derogatory Word on 12-Year-Old Girl

A Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to jail time for helping the man she lived with tattoo a smiley face and a derogatory word on a 12-year-old girl. The Meadville Tribune reports that 30-year-old Melissa Becker, of Centerville, Pa., was sentenced on Tuesday of this week by a Crawford County judge. She will serve four months to two years behind bars. The girl told police that Charlton tattooed the smiley face and a vulgar term for a woman on her left forearm when she spent the night at their residence. It is not clear why the 12-year-old stayed with them. Officials say Becker’s sentence will also require two years’ probation for what she and 33-year-old Randall Charlton III have pleaded guilty to. The two were convicted of corruption of a minor and tattooing a minor for the incident on May 14. Charlton has yet to be sentenced for his role. Becker also pleaded guilty to a third criminal charge, endangering the welfare of a child, a first-degree misdemeanor, the prosecutor’s office said. County prosecutors say Charlton and Becker didn’t contact the girl’s mother for permission to be tattooed, which is against the law in Pennsylvania. Their relation, or connection, to the girl is unclear. 12 Wild and Totally Crazy Tattoos 1. LeBron James Back Tattoo Think you’re the biggest LeBron James fans in the world? Jessa Duggar Visits Creationist Museum, Bashes Evolution and Atheism on Instagram

Earlier today, we learned about the Duggar family’s dating rules and the many ( many ) things that are banned from their household for religious reasons. It’s easy to look at Michelle and Jim Bob’s unusual way of living and feel pity for their 19 kids (and counting!), but it seems the Duggar kids don’t have the sense that they’re missing out on anything. Sure, they’ve been denied simple, harmless pleasures like going to the beach and celebrating Halloween, but in the place of childhood fun they got… well, a whole bunch of wacky nonsense. Ya know, like the kind you find on Jessa Duggar’s Instagram page: As you can see, Jessa and fiance Ben Seewald have been doing a bit of traveling lately. They stopped in DC and visited the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, which is a museum in the same way that Disney World is a museum of mice who wear pants. In other words, it’s got a bunch of stuff that some people consider fun to look at, but that doesn’t have anything to do with real life or scientific facts. Along with the above photo that explains how Jesus made raptors or something, Jessa posted a caption reading: “If there really was a worldwide flood (as the Bible speaks of), what would the evidence be? Billions of dead things, laid down by water, buried all over the earth. And that’s exactly what we find.” Well that explains everything! Eat it, science! But yes, sadly Jessa actually believes that the earth is only 6 thousand years old and people coexisted with dinosaurs, a la The Flintstones. Jessa also posted a quote about atheism that defines it as, “The belief that there was nothing and then nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason.” Of course, it would be very easy come up with an equally dismissive take-down of pretty much any belief system you can name. To do so, however, would be to expose your own ignorance and demonstrate an astonishing lack of respect for other people’s convictions and experiences. Obviously, to do something that stupid, you’d have to be the kind of person who thinks your ancestors rode brontosauruses to work. Anyway, watch 19 Kids and Counting online at TV Fanatic for more science lessons, Duggar-style. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Photos 1. Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald: Inside the Proposal!

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald got engaged earlier this month. Here, TLC takes us inside the proposal in a special clip from 19 Kids & Counting. Among the few details the duo haven’t revealed about their relationship was how he proposed. Well, thanks to the below video, we now know the answer! Jessa Duggar, Ben Seewald Engaged (19 Kids and Counting) He’s a keeper. In addition to Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald recalling the big moment, her parents Jim Bob and Michelle also speak on the event. “We are so just excited for Jessa and Ben. They got engaged tonight … and it was absolutely beautiful,” said proud papa of 19 Jim Bob. JIm Bob says that Ben, “throughout the day, did all kinds of just really neat things to bring back special memories of their relationship.” “I’ve been working on this, planning this day for several months,” Ben says. “Just talking to people and getting ideas, and just thinking about…I tried to be creative. How can I make this a day to remember? The whole day, you know?” With his scavenger hunt proposal, he appears to have done the job! Jessa, 21, then adds in the clip, “With every clue I was like … I was really excited … but I was also nervous the whole time. I didn’t know where he was.” But she knew what was up, or at least she had a good feeling. “He could [have shown] up at any point,” Jessa said. “[I thought], ‘He’s probably behind me right now on his knee,’ so I was always looking around.” Soon enough, her engagement ring was in fact presented! Aww! Jessa then thanks all the viewers for tuning in to 19 Kids & Counting (which returns September 2, and will also feature a heavy dose of Jill Duggar ). Jessa Duggar Engagement Ring, Photos Shared By Smitten 19 Kids & Counting Star

Jessa Duggar only had eyes for her fiance Ben Seewald – and the ring he put on her left hand – while taking some sweet engagement photos last week. The 19 Kids and Counting star showed off her husband-to-be, and bling, on Instagram: “Time for some engagement photos!” the 21-year-old beauty captioned one photo. “I admire this man with all my heart! @ben_seewald, you’re absolutely the best!” Ben Seewald got engaged to Jessa Duggar last week, following 11 months of dating. Sorry, courting. Dating implies shopping around, according to the Duggar dating rules , while courting is more intensive and designed to find a mate for life. Duggar clearly loves having 19-year-old Ben Seewald on her arm, for the last 11 months and every month for the rest of her life. As for what’s on her hand? “Y’all! I still can’t believe it! I’M ENGAGED TO THE MOST AMAZING GUY ON EARTH!” she captioned a third picture, showing off her silver band. “Every time I look down at the ring on my finger… it takes my breath away!” Very sweet.
