Lashana Lynch who played Maria Rambeau in “Captain Marvel” will take on the famous 007 moniker in the forthcoming James Bond film. To be clear, the history-making moment means she’s the first BLACK PERSON and the first FEMALE to take on the role. The British actress, 31, will play 007 in what The Daily Mail is describing as a “popcorn dropping moment” between her and the current Bond Daniel Craig. Bond is apparently retired and BEFUDDLED that this “brilliant young black woman” won’t fall for his charm. “Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed,” a source told the Mail. “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman,” the source told the Mail. The film is currently in production in Italy and the UK. Lynch has already been spotted filming on set and she shared a behind the scenes clip. R apper and actor Jaden Smith is no stranger to activism. Through the company, Smith wants to help individuals who are dealing with food insecurity by making healthy options free and accessible. I Love You Restaurant will have several pop-up food trucks that will serve the homeless population. The first pop-up took place on his 21st birthday on Skid Row. For Smith, celebrating his milestone birthday was less about partying and more about furthering his philanthropic efforts. “The @ILoveYouRestaurant Is A Movement That Is All About Giving People What They Deserve, Healthy, Vegan Food For Free,” he posted on Instagram . “Today We Launched Our First One Day Food Truck Pop-Up in Downtown LA. Keep A Look Out Because This Is The First Of Many #JADENinc.” As Smith grows his influence in the realm of activism, he’s also continuing to make waves in music. He released a new album titled ERYS on July 4 and will soon be hitting the road with Tyler the Creator for a tour. Initiatives like Smith’s are needed and will be instrumental in evoking change. According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness , there are over 500,000 people in the United States experiencing homelessness on a given night. Feeding America reported that in 2017 nearly 40 million Americans—including over 12 million youngsters—lacked access to food. Smith isn’t the only celebrity who is focused on fighting hunger. In May, NBA star LeBron James teamed up with Walmart for the Fight Hunger Spark Change campaign to address the hunger gap experienced by communities of color, children, senior citizens, and those living in poverty. Source: Roberto Machado Noa / Getty Dairy Queen Employee Fired For Making An Inappropriate Cake A Dairy Queen employee in Georgia ended up being fired after she made a marijuana-themed cake for a woman’s 25th birthday. The whole ordeal began when Kensli Taylor Davis’ mother called a Dairy Queen and asked for a Moana -themed cake. A manager at the store who took the order misheard the request and thought she said “marijuana.” When Davis’ mother went to go pick up the cake, she received one that featured a picture of a marijuana plant as well as an extremely high My Little Pony. It was supposed to be a Moana cake, but a young woman instead received a birthday cake featuring marijuana and a “My Little Pony”-themed character smoking marijuana. https://t.co/tvUyWlyiak pic.twitter.com/ob0kZKP9ku — ABC 7 News – WJLA (@ABC7News) July 10, 2019 “I think they thought that she said ‘marijuana’ because we are from south Georgia and kind of have an accent. So, Moana , marijuana,” Davis explained to Georgia’s WMAZ-TV. I meeeean, the two words do sound alike. So they’ve got a point there–but you’d think the employee would clarify once or twice what the customer wants the theme of their cake to be. Anyway…. Kensli posted about the encounter on her Facebook page in good spirits, writing in her caption: “I haven’t had a chance to tell y’all about our experience this weekend with my birthday cake. So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana. (Because really I do) Well needless to say these people thought she said marijuana That ice cream cake was still good though ” Cassandra Walker, the Dairy Queen employee who made the cake, opened up about the incident to USA Today after being fired. “This is back-to-school time. I have two little girls here,” explained Walker, who worked at Dairy Queen for around a year. “I have a car that needs fixing. It’s not funny to me.” She also says she made the cake with the approval of her manager. “The manager stood behind me while I pulled the images off the internet. She walked by as I decorated the cake. As I boxed the cake up, she was the one who walked it up to the front.” “This was a simple misunderstanding from the beginning,” Al Autry, one of the owners of the Dairy Queen, said in a statement given to USA Today . “Our cake decorator designed a cake based on what she thought she heard the customer order. When the customer picked it up and said it was not what she ordered, we immediately apologized for the error and offered to redesign it the way she originally intended. The customer said it was fine, paid for the cake and left.” Walker was eventually offered her job back, but says it was Autry who fired her in the first place. She declined the offer.

Source: Mikhail Tereshchenko / Getty Dunkin’ Donuts Worker Made Up A Fake Employee To Collect Their Paychecks A Dunkin’ Donuts manager in Florida was arrested for allegedly hiring an employee that didn’t exist and then pocketing all of the checks that fake worker received, according to reports from WFLA . 29-year-old Markia Nelson, who works at the franchise’s Largo location, hired the fake employee on May 15. From May 16 up until this past Saturday in July, Nelson was keeping up the image that the employee was showing up for work every day — clocking in and out for them and logging a total of 235 hours, according to an arrest report obtained by the outlet. The “employee” earned $8.65 an hour and brought in total of $1,610.84 over the past couple of months. Nelson direct deposited all of the funds into her account, admitting that she used the extra money for her “life expenses.” The company that owns the franchise location was tipped off to the scam and ended up launchinf its own investigation, according to reports from FOX 13 . Once word of the scam reached the Pinellas Park Police Department, it was pretty much an open-and-shut case. Nelson ended up being arrested on Monday. “The employee never actually showed up to do any work, and when they researched the employee’s clock-in and clock-out times, they saw that it was her inputting it each time,” Pinellas Park police Sgt. Lonnie Lancto told the outlet. Nelson has so far only been charged with grand theft, but could face other charges, including identity theft. “She had the information [for the phony worker] who she said … was a friend of hers, so the information for the person was an actual person,” the sergeant told the outlet.
Over the weekend, beloved Disney star Cameron Boyce died in his sleep after suffering a devastating seizure. Fans and friends are in mourning, but no one could feel this loss more keenly than his family. Now his younger sister, 17-year-old Maya Boyce, is speaking out about her brother’s tragic passing. “Yes, he died. Yes, I’m sad,” Maya’s beautiful tribute begins. She affirms that “Cameron was my best friend.” “He is someone I will always idolize,” Maya gushes. “His smile could light up a room, unlike anyone else’s,” she notes. Simply put, Maya writes: “He was perfect.” “He always said that if you have a voice,” Maya recalls. “You have the privilege of using that voice for change.” And he did. His advocacy for good causes earned both praise and mourning from Michelle Obama . “And,” Maya continues. “He did not take that idea lightly.” “He understood his responsibility as someone so many kids would look up to,” she adds. Maya praises: “Cameron always went out of his way to be giving and kind.” “He did more with his 20 years of life,” Maya asserts. “Than most people ever could with 100 years.” You know what? We don’t doubt it. “He was actively charitable,” Maya explains. “He traveled the world.” “He made creativity and art his life’s mission,” she says of her older brother. “And he encouraged others to do the same.” That is beautiful and inspirational. Maya acknowledges: “Of course, I am devastated.” “I will be for the rest of my life,” she affirms. Anyone who has ever lost a sibling knows how true those words can be. “But,” Maya writes. “What I’m holding onto, and what I encourage you to hold onto as well, is the memory of his endless optimism.” “He was sunlight wearing shoes,” she characterizes. Sadness, she explains, does not mean that she — or her family — want to see everyone moping. In fact, Cameron wouldn’t want that, either. “I can confidently say: he wants us to celebrate, grow, and persevere,” Maya tells anyone reading. “Yes, he died,” she repeats. “And yes, I’m sad.” “I’m also happy,” Maya adds. “And grateful.” “I was with him hours before he died,” Maya reveals to the world. She characterizes the encounter: “It was normal and fun.” “We said ‘I love you,'” Maya recalls. She adds: “He was happy.” We don’t doubt that for a single moment. “I spent 17 years knowing what it was like to be loved by Cameron Boyce,” Maya expresses. Her powerful tribute concludes: “That is the most beautiful gift I have ever received.” That is an incredibly evocative tribute to her late brother. It also offers the entire world a glimpse into their beautiful sibling dynamic. Clearly, Cameron was not the only one who had a bright, loving soul or who could inspire kindness in others. Maya may feel that her brother left some big shoes to fill, but she’s clearly inspirational in her own right. Our thoughts and best wishes continue to be with Cameron’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam
