A LOT of positivity… Steven Reed Becomes Montgomery’s First Black Mayor A brotha just made history in Alabama in a major way! Steven Reed, a Probate Judge, is Montgomery, Alabama’s first Black Mayor. Reed is replacing current Mayor Todd Strange and won with 67 percent of the votes. He will be sworn into office on Nov. 12. “If there was any doubt about what we can do when we come together, when we unify this city, let the record show tonight, above all, show what we can do when we come together in this city and we build around positivity, around opportunity and all the things that tie us together,” said Reed about his victory according to WSFA. When asked why he thought his campaign resonated with voters, Reed said it was the vision for a united Montgomery. “I think our vision for a better Montgomery. Our vision for a united Montgomery, and our vision to create better opportunities for everyone and I believe our concise vision that was very consistent from the day one is something a lot of people listened to,” Reed said. “I believe people really were attracted to that. They really were interested in some of our ideas and that energy and that enthusiasm that we felt so many days in the community is going to churches, going to community centers, going to neighborhood programs, we felt the energy there and we felt that energy in some unlikely corners for some. So we knew the message was resonating, and we knew that somewhere along the line, we knew that we were making a difference and that we were connecting, and I think that’s why we had the results that we had tonight.” Reed’s win marks the first time in Montgomery’s 200 years that a black Mayor has been elected. Erica Mena & Safaree Are Officially Married

On Monday (Oct. 7), the happy couple lavishly wed in front of their family and friends as Safaree donned a red suit styled by Messiah Stylist, while Erica Mena was dressed in a gorgeous white wedding dressed designed by Ryan and Walter that closely hugged her baby bump. The whirlwind romance was first announced in late 2018 with the couple announcing their engagement by Christmas Eve of the same year. While the two have been very public with their relationship and pregnancy announcement , it seems Erica plans to take a different approach with their child. According to published reports, Mena plans to shelter the bundle of joy from the spotlight, while Safaree’s plans include adding the upcoming addition to payroll. “We’re going to be selective but at the same time, this baby will come out of the womb working,” Safaree said during the announcement. “I was working very early. I’m about to pull a DJ Khaled . As soon as this baby comes out, we are working.” Working is an understatement while celebrating milestones in their lives and relationship, the lovebirds are also cashing after it was announced that their love story will be documented on the upcoming tenth season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York ; showcasing their fast-tracked romance, it’s been reported that VH1 cameras were on-hand to also document the wedding. Although the two may have different opinions on how involved their unborn child will be in Hollywood, one thing the two definitely agree on is their love for one another. Inmate Who Was Assisted By Kim Kardashian Released After 23 Years

Momolu Stewart received help towards gaining his freedom by way of Kim Kardashian ‘s efforts and he is no doubt grateful for the assistance. In a profile on Stewart from Oxygen , Stewart, now 39, entered prison after the New Year’s Day shooting of Mark Rosebure. Stewart’s co-defendant, Kareem McCraney, was released in 2018 with both men benefiting from the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act. While behind bars at the DC Central Detention Facility, commonly known as the D.C. Jail, Stewart became a part of the Georgetown Prison Scholars under Dr. Mark Howard, who praised Stewart’s transformation from a street tough to a man who wants to contribute to society. Stewart seemed extremely humbled by Kardashian’s assistance as evidenced by his chat with Oxygen. “She has the ability to believe in others when the conventional aspect of things would be to shun ‘em,” Stewart said. Kardashian penned a letter on Stewart’s behalf that explained his violent and troubled childhood, which included his mother killing his father when he was six-years-old thus becoming part of the street life in Washington. Stewart will be featured in the upcoming documentary Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project which will air on the Oxygen network. — Photo: Getty

This Is Us Recap: Did Kevin Just Meet His Soulmate?

Secrets, secrets, they are no fun. They are no fun for anyone… until they come out and stir up lots of drama, that is, which is exactly what went down on This Is Us Season  4 Episode 3, “Unhinged.” On the latest installment of this NBC drama, Kate (Chrissy Metz) broke down after learning that husband Toby (Chris Sullivan) had been keeping his weight loss from her. This is how the reveal transpired: Toby settled into his IT sales job by inviting Kate to meet some of his clients at a restaurant. He then attempted to subtly get the hostess to switch their table, yet when she wouldn’t do so, Kate confessed that she could not fit into the booth. It was very awkward. Why didn’t Toby say the say thing, however? Hmmm… Watch This Is Us Season 4 Episode 3 Online Kate later ordered Toby to take off his shirt, but not in a seductive way — she wanted to see his abs for herself. He admitted that he had been going to the gym to get healthy following his heart attack, which made Kate quite emotional. He didn’t want to make her feel bad, although she acknowledged she had gained 10 pounds since giving birth. From there, her neighbor (Timothy Omundson), who was trying to rehabilitate from a stroke, caught her crying on her porch… and after he shared his story with her, she and little Jack joined him for his morning walks around the neighborhood. It’s a start, right? Elsewhere, viewers saw why Nicky (Griffin Dunne) vandalized the VA center. You see, he was making progress with a therapist when she was transferred and this caused him to relapse. Kevin (Justin Hartley) arrived in town to help Nicky avoid prison time and a gigantic fine, as the VA agreed to let Nicky continue his treatment, despite his aversion to assistance. Again: It’s a start, right? And speaking of starts… While at the facility, Kevin met Cassidy (Jennifer Morrison) and her son. Cassidy was immediately turned off by him, but she later warmed up when they wound up in the same Alcoholic Anonymous meeting. Kevin lamented his life having no purpose at all and trying to stay sober by focusing on his nephew. Cassidy laughed at his struggles, which included his fear of becoming an AARP spokesperson, prompting Kevin to eventually did the same. Sparks most definitely flew here and it’s very safe to say we’re intrigued. Also; Deja (Lyric Ross) received a surprise of her own when Malik (Asante Blackk) told her he has a daughter. She had no idea what to think about the situation and would only say that the revelation complicated her feelings for him. In other young person Pearson news, Tess (Eris Baker) battled coming out at school. Then there was our man Randall (Sterling K. Brown), who faced a few problems of his own. One of his aides pressured him to fire Jae-Won (Tim Jo) because the two were friends and he lacked experience. However, Randall let go of the aide instead for disrespecting him and then helped his chief of staff plan his proposal to his girlfriend. This Is Us Season 4 Episode 4 Promo Finally, via flashbacks, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) was himself was fired after making a huge mistake at work. But Miguel (Jon Huertas) stood up for him, telling their boss that he would quit if Jack had to go. The bold move saved both their jobs. Kevin also helped out Randall after he got in trouble at school and suffered from an anxiety attack.

Bella Thorne Unveils "Camera Shy" New Girlfriend in Topless Pics!

Bella Thorne came out of the closet years ago and, more recently, clarified that she is pansexual . A lot of people take time to find the right label. This week, she took to social media to reveal her new girlfriend, whom she describes as “camera shy.” You can’t blame her — since the photos that Bella chose to share featured the two of them entirely topless. “She’s very cute,” Bella Thorne writes in the captions of the two photos that you are about to see. We can’t see her new lady love’s face in the photo, which is why she felt the need to clarify. She then admits: “First girl I have dated that’s camera shy.” Hey, that means that said girl is probably not using Bella to build her brand! Though to be honest, we didn’t think that she was in the first place. The new girlfriend in question is Alex Martini. Bella remains in an open relationship with boyfriend Benjamin Mascolo, who showed some love to the photos. “You girls are cute,” he commented, including a black heart emoji. Bella’s ex Tana Mangeau commented: “Yes Martini!” Just this summer, Bella put Tana on blast , so it’s good to see that they’re on so much better terms these days. So who is Alex Martini? She is a tattoo enthusiast, even enduring multiple lengthy tattoo sessions to turn her back into a work of art. (You know that we have a photo of that below) Alex is a lesbian — we don’t just mean that she likes girls, but has referred to herself by that specific label on Instagram. And here, you can see her face as she absolutely rocks a plaid shirt, reminding everyone why the LGBTQ+ community owns plaid flannel as a concept. She looks great! It’s not clear how long Bella and Alex have been dating, but they’ve been engaging with each other on social media since September at least. By the way, Alex is also in the entertainment industry, but she works behind the scenes on tons of TV and movie projects. She’s worked on everything from major streaming projects to, a number of years ago, being a production assistant on Keeping Up With The Kardashians . Alex is also a dedicated cat mom. Awwww! Unfortunately, in part because of Bella’s larger-than-life persona but also because of general bigotry, we know that some people won’t respond well to this post. Some people just don’t like LGBTQ+ people, or try to erase bi and pan folks (who outnumber all of the rest of us combined, let’s be clear). Some will disguise their bigotry by objecting to “flaunting” in ways that they would never discuss a straight couple. Then there are those who roll their eyes at “open relationships.” It’s very nearly 2020, folks. Open relationships and polyamory are a thing. If it doesn’t sound realistic, or you can’t imagine jealousy not ruining it, then it’s probably not the right relationship for you . Remember, there are plenty of people for whom monogamy sounds like an unthinkable horror. Different relationships for different people. It is a wonder to see Bella so happy and alive. She has had her emotional ups and downs and is known for being very real about all of that witn fans. Congratulations to Bella and Alex on this relationship. They look so cute together! Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson Stun Fans, Almost Get to First Base on Instagram

For Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson, first came love. And then came marriage. And, pretty soon, will come a baby in a baby carriage. This classic nursery rhyme is appropriate in this case because, first, it very much applies to the famous couple and, second, they were totally just caught (although not in a tree) K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Duggar and Swanson shared a handful of new photos on their joint Instagram account this week, displaying an unusual amount of public affection for members of this polarizing family. You can check out the romantic snapshots above and below. “Love doing life with you” wrote the twosome as a sweet caption, adding: “Btw I’m ready for fall, Siah is still in summer. #date #blessed.” As you can see here, Josiah and Lauren are engaged in a lengthy peck on each other’s lips, nearly getting to first base in the process — yet narrowly missing the accomplishment by keeping their tongues in their respective mouths. The couple did not swap spit of any kind, of course, until they got married in June of 2018 . Shortly thereafter, Josiah and Lauren swapped some bodily fluids, resulting in the latter getting pregnant… only for Lauren to suffer a tragic miscarriage several months ago . “I just want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, support, and for all you Mama’s out there for sharing your angel baby stories,” the Counting On star captioned an Instagram photo back in March, adding at the time: “It’s easy to share those happy times in our lives, but sharing something hard, like losing a baby can be like putting salt to a wound. “I know by y’all sharing your stories it has not only helped me, but many other women who have gone through the same trials.” Just a short while later, by the grace of God some might say, Lauren and Josiah announced they were expecting for a second time. “We are so excited to announce that baby No. 2 is on the way!!!!” they wrote on May 20, adding in excitement  and gratitude: “It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! “So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good! “#MiraclesDoHappen, #babynumber2, #rainbowbaby and #DaddyandMamaof2blessings.” In June, we then learned the stars are having a girl. Lauren, for her part, has been keeping fans well apprised of her status and her baby bump via a number of social media posts and pictures. On August 10, she posted some photos of herself showing off her stomach and wrote: “Life is such a gift and something I cherish more now, with all that we have gone through this past year. “This pregnancy hasn’t been easy. I treasure every moment and I am reminded daily that life is truly a miracle from God. “#blessed #lifeisagift #donttakelifeforgranted.” We don’t know for certain when Lauren is due, but we wish her nothing but good health and happiness. Peter Weber Rushed to Hospital For "Serious Injury" During Bachelor Filming

From the moment that Peter Weber was announced as the new Bachelor , the decision was mired in controversy. Now, strange reports from the set have led some fans to the conclusion that we may be in for the franchise’s weirdest season yet. First, we learned that Hannah Brown is involved in Peter’s season for reasons that still aren’t entirely clear. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Weber was hospitalized after suffering “a serious injury” during filming on Monday. Apparently, the 28-year-old was participating in a group golfing date when a freak accident occurred: “He went to step on the cart but fell and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying,” a production source tells Radar. Peter required 22 stitches but was released from the hospital later the same day. “He is pulling through,” the insider says, adding that the injury may force a delay in taping. “Everyone is worried about production,” the insider claims, as “all the women were flying in for a filming today” for several days of consecutive filming. Between The Bachelor , The Bachelorette , and The Bachelor In Paradise , there’s almost always one Bachelor Nation show on the air and another one in production. It’s a tight schedule that keeps Chris Harrison’s pockets pleasantly plump … but doesn’t allow for much in the way of unforeseen delays. A source from the set claims Peter was not drunk at the time of the accident, but simply suffered an unfortunate misstep. Hey, when you think about it, it’s sort of amazing that “cocktail glass to the face while golfing” isn’t a more common injury. If you’ve been keeping up with our Bachelor spoilers , you know that Peter is down to his final 12 after cutting four contestants during a rose ceremony held on Saturday. As for whether or not Hannah’s still on set, that remains unclear — but it looks like producers might be planning to keep her around as a sort of wild card pseudo-contestant for the remainder of the season. “They’re weaving Hannah into as many storylines as possible,” says spoiler master Reality Steve, who notes that Hannah has already “hosted” at least one group date. We appreciate that producers are trying to keep things fresh and beef up the dramatic tension, but Hannah already chose Tyler Cameron and Jed freakin’ Wyatt over Peter. Will Smith is set to attempt to knock Joker out of the number 1 spot at the box office this weekend when he releases his new movie GEMINI MAN. A movie about an elite assassin named Henry Brogan who becomes the target of a mysterious operative who can seemingly predict his every move. To his horror, he soon learns that the man who’s trying to kill him is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself. The technology on this film is out of this world, and seeing a younger version of Will Smith perform these stunts as a completely computerized character is mind-blowing. The Special effect teams said they didn’t have much footage of a young Will doing dramatic roles, but Will revealed the movies they used to craft the cloned version of himself. Will said, “That was one of the scenes that Ang Lee used for Gemini Man. He used Six Degrees of Separation, that scene from Fresh Prince and a couple of other scenes, he used Bad Boys, Independence Day and Men In Black. Then he put together a picture of my level of performance from that time and that was the language that we used to be able to create this new digital version of myself.” He also goes on to reveal that Lebron James was so touched by the iconic episode of Fresh Prince when Will dad walks out on him that he brings it up each time he sees him in person.
