Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart Affair Lasted for Months, Relatives Claim

It was a one-time mistake . That’s the line Kristen Stewart is hoping will keep Robert Pattinson from leaving her, although early indications don’t bode very well for the future of Robsten . But is that claim even valid? Did Stewart really just make out with Rupert Sanders for a few fleeting moments? Or was this affair far more drawn out and calculating? Rupert Sanders likes what he sees at the premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman. Relatives of the Snow White and the Huntsman director say it’s the latter. They cite a photo of Sanders and Stewart in Berlin on May 15 as evidence, with Sanders’ brother-in-law

Moguai Talks Revved-Up ‘In N’ Out’ Collabo With Tommy Trash

German DJ tells MTV News of creating big new sound on song’s re-edit to play for summer festival crowds. By Nick Philippou Moguai Photo: Thomas Niedermueller/ Getty Images EDM fans worldwide know Moguai as one of the most diverse and prolific music-makers on deadmau5’s Mau5trap label, an epicenter of EDM creativity. MTV News caught up with the German DJ recently, and he gave us all the details on his latest album, MPire, and on his synth-centric collaboration with Tommy Trash called “In N’ Out,” including their revved up re-edit that’s available on iTunes and is hovering high up on the Beatport charts. “We did [the track] three and a half years ago in Germany. I know him only from touring of Australia, and in Germany or Europe nobody knew him at that time,” Moguai told MTV News. “We did it, but it never came out. So I put it on the album, and right now it fits perfectly in the time.” Moguai said that “In N’ Out” landing on his album is the kind of happy coincidence that always happens when DJs tour together. He added that including the track on his album was even more exciting after Trash had a huge year in 2011, with tracks like “The End” and “Cascade” becoming staples in DJ sets around the world. “In N’ Out” works well with MPire ‘s melting pot of sound, which ranges from the quintessential progressive sound in “Lyme” to electro-house euphoria on the album’s title track. Moguai told MTV News that they wanted to have a really big new sound on their edit of “In N’ Out” for the huge festival crowds over the summer. Moguai’s adding more U.S. tour dates this summer. He’ll be making his first summer tour stop on June 8 at Level in Kelowna, British Columbia. Then he’s off to Chicago on June 9 to play Vision before hitting a plethora of festivals and nightclubs. “I think EDM has found a new home here in America, but it’s like the beginning, like hip-hop and R&B,” he said. “It’s a cultural thing right now. It won’t disappear anymore.” Moguai has seen EDM grow into the mainstream in his native Germany, and he sees many parallels between the explosion of EDM in America and what Europe experienced nearly two decades ago. “We had it in Germany,” Moguai told MTV News. “We’re still having it, but it feels like back in the days, back in the early ’90s, you know, when we started with Love Parade and with the Mayday. It began with 500 people around Berlin, around Brandenburg, and from there the next year it was 5000, then 50,000, then 500,000, then 1.5 million, then 2 million, you know, and it grew up. [It] feels quite the same [energy] here.” Related Artists Moguai

B*tchazzness: Cowardly Man Punches 10-Year Old For Being Too Rowdy In Movie Theatre

Sounds like somebody needs to join Tami Roman in anger management. Man Punches 10-Year-Old In The Face During Movie A Washington State moviegoer who took matters into his own hands after becoming fed up with children who were being too loud in a movie theatre has been charged with second-degree assault. The man, who says he thought the child he hit was an adult, claims to have asked the “people” behind him to quiet down while watching Titanic 3D with his girlfriend and became enraged after his request was met with laughter. “I got so mad that it just happened,” Yong Hyun Kim, 21, told police who arrested him the night of April 11 at the AMC Kent Station 14, in Kent, a south Seattle suburb. The 10-year-old lost a tooth and had a bloody nose in the confrontation. Kim spent a night in the Kent city jail and appeared April 12 in King County District Court and was released, said county prosecutor’s spokesman Dan Donohoe. Kim was charged May 16 with second-degree assault. If convicted, he could be sentenced to three to nine months in jail, Donohoe said Tuesday. Last time we checked, most 10-year old boys didn’t look like adults……even in dark movie theaters. Source

Donna Summer ‘Definitely Influenced’ Flo Rida, Other EDM Acts

‘She definitely is one of those iconic people when it comes down to the dance scene,’ Flo tells MTV News of late disco singer. By Kara Warner, with additional reporting by Rob Markman Donna Summer Photo: Getty Images The surprised, sincere and heartfelt reactions continue to roll in as the news of Disco Queen Donna Summer’s untimely passing Thursday (May 17) spreads far and wide. Summer influenced the music industry as a whole, but her influence is especially felt in today’s electronic dance music — which includes current club-anthem king Flo Rida. “I was just looking at something with her months ago,” the “Wild Ones” singer told MTV News. “Today, when I got a text message [about her passing], I thought, ‘Wow, she passed away.’ She definitely is one of those iconic people when it comes down to the dance scene and all that. My condolences go out to all her family. She definitely influenced what I do.” Speaking to Summer’s genre-bending influence, house-music forefather Frankie Knuckles called her unforgettable hit “I Feel Love” one of the most commercial electronic pieces of music ever written. “Today you can hear its influence on all popular Dance music, House, Techno, Trance,” he told MTV News in a statement. “She was deemed ‘The Queen Of Disco.’ She’s been sampled and ideas of her songs have crept into today’s popular dance music by everybody. Her association with [legendary record producer] Giorgio Moroder set the tone for what Dance Music is all about.” “Donna Summer RIP I FEEL LOVE FOR YOU,” Swedish dance-pop princess Robyn tweeted , adding a link to a Summer performance of “I Feel Love.” The reception of Summer’s iconic 1977 anthem essentially revolutionized music, not to mention the rest of her chart-toppers that would soon follow. “One day in Berlin, [Brian] Eno came running in and said, ‘I have heard the sound of the future,’ ” David Bowie famously wrote in the liner notes to Sound and Vision. “He puts on ‘I Feel Love,’ by Donna Summer. … He said, ‘This is it, look no further. This single is going to change the sound of club music for the next 15 years.’ Which was more or less right.” Share your condolences for Donna Summer’s friends, family and fans in the comments or on Facebook . Morgan Page’s In The Air Aims ‘Square At Dance Floor’

Fifth album, released Tuesday, features Tegan and Sara on ‘Body Work.’ By Akshay Bhansali Morgan Page Photo: Rukes.com With two Grammy nominations under his belt and having sold out 35 of the 45 shows on his last tour, American DJ/producer Morgan Page went into the recent Miami Music Week on a high. The title track of his fifth album, “In the Air” featuring Angela McCluskey (a co-production with BT, Sultan and Ned Shepard), went to #1 on Billboard ‘s Hot Dance Airplay Chart and spent 25 weeks in the top 10 last year. “Body Work,” featuring MTV family indie darlings Tegan and Sara , followed as the album’s second single, with an ’80s-inspired video set in an auto shop that premiered on MTV’s Buzzworthy in February. This year, Miami proved fruitful. While he didn’t come away with any International Dance Music Awards (he was nominated for “Best American DJ” and “Best Progressive Track”), MMW provided a fan-galvanizing series of gigs, underscored by his own “Morgan Page Presents” night at Mokai. He showcased his latest remixes and coveted gems from In the Air, which was released Tuesday via Nettwerk Records. According to Page, the fans in Miami clearly had their favorite songs. “The singles ‘In the Air’ with Angela McCluskey and ‘Body Work’ with Tegan and Sara are doing well,” Page told MTV News. “Right now, ‘In the Air’ is the biggest track. It gets the biggest response when I play it. It was a really cool collaboration.” “Body Work” occupies its own unique place in Page’s heart. What began as a White Label remix endeavor in 2005 culminated in Page creating three songs with Tegan and Sara, of which “Video” and “Body Work” made it onto ITA . “They are the coolest,” Page said of the pair. “They are the most professional, put together duo I’ve ever worked with. They just know what they want, and they don’t mess around. [‘Body Work’] is very ’80s and has this very ’80s throwback synth vibe that I love. I wanted a track to be out there that was different. It wasn’t a dubstep track or a progressive house track.” Page says Air is a project for the masses — an effort that, with the help of additional vocalists Nadia Ali , Greg Laswell, Shelley Harland and Richard Walters (to name a few), is aimed to hit the nightclubs hard. “The last album, Believe, was more melancholy and chill,” Page explained. “And this is aiming a little more square at the dance floor. The next single is right around the corner, called ‘Where Did You Go.’ Jonathan Mendelsohn’s on that. He’s done a lot of cool stuff with Dash Berlin and Laidback Luke . It’s a little more aggressive. It’s something I can play in the middle of my set, peak time, guns blazing. Jonathan is just an amazing, dynamic singer.” For his next album, Page revealed he’s planning to continue keeping the spirits high. “I think the next one is going to be even more big-room,” Page shared. “A little more triumph, a little more energy, more peak time. That’s kind of what the crowds want.” Share your review of Morgan Page’s new album in the comments below! Related Artists Morgan Page
