This lil’ political swirl is the backbone of our great country Barack Obama And Hillary Clinton Sit For Joint Interview With 60 Minutes President Obama praised Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a joint “60 Minutes” interview recorded Friday, calling his outgoing cabinet star one of the greatest chief diplomats in U.S. history. “I just wanted to have a chance to publicly say thank you, because I think Hillary will go down as one of the finest Secretaries of State we’ve had,” Obama said in the rare TV spot — the first time he’s done a joint interview with anyone besides his wife, Michelle, since reaching the White House. The interview — which was excerpted Friday and will be aired in full on Sunday — is a testament to the strength of the Obama-Clinton alliance that was forged following their bitter Democratic primary campaign in 2008. “In politics and in democracy, sometimes you win elections and sometimes you lose elections,” Clinton said, recounting what she’s told people the world over about the “improbable” alliance. “And I worked very hard and lost. And then President Obama asked me to be Secretary of State and I said yes. And why did I say yes? Because we both love our country.” Over the last four years, Clinton has traveled to 112 countries to rebuild an American brand left in tatters after the Iraq War — raising her 2016 White House prospects along the way. The POTUS went out of his way to shower ol’ Hill with compliments, possibly to further bolster her profile with the American people. “I can’t begrudge her wanting to take it easy for a little bit,” Obama said. “But I want the country to appreciate what an extraordinary role she’s played during the course of my administration. A lot of the successes we’ve had internationally have been because of her hard work.” Hillary could always return the favor if she was to become the first woman POTUS and offer Barry a gig on her cabinet. Rupert Sanders Wife Files For Divorce After Kristen Stewart Affair via The Hollywood Life After months and months of an unknown relationship status between the two, Liberty Ross finally filed divorce from Rupert Sanders on Jan. 25. How much is the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal to blame? Liberty, 34, has filed for divorce from her cheating husband, Rupert, 42, TMZ reports.The paperwork was filed in L.A Superior Court and Liberty is asking for joint custody of both their children, spousal support and attorney fees. Rupert is also looking for joint custody, but the successful director has passed on requesting spousal support. Meanwhile across the pond, Kristen’s bitter boo-thang Robert Pattinson has supposedly kicked her cheating cakes to the curb also…..for the time being. Kristen’s relationship with Robert Pattinson is in trouble, as well. While the English hunk, 26, is in Australia filming his new movie, The Rover, he’s requested a “trial separation” from his girlfriend, 22. A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com that Rob isn’t even taking Kristen’s calls, prompting her to consider an impromptu trip down under! “It seems like she’s going to fly out there, despite the fact that he has cut their communication down a lot,” our source said. “He’s barely picking up her calls [or] responding to her messages.”

Stephens alleged he was only 16 when Clash began an affair with him. Clash admits an affair , but insists it started when Stephens, now 23, was an adult. Stephens recanted his allegation days later, but only after a secret settlement was struck between the two parties. Under the terms of the settlement: Clash agreed to pay Stephens $125,000 . He releases a statement saying he [Stephens] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship. If Stephens is asked by anyone about his relationship with Clash, he must only repeat the statement in the settlement that recants his story. Although Sheldon Stephens signed the document, he insists Clash, now 52, had sex with him when he was a minor and was pressured into signing the settlement. According to TMZ, Stephens was crying during the final negotiations with Clash’s lawyer and repeatedly insisted he didn’t want to sign; he did, however. It’s unclear who leaked these details to the celebrity gossip site, but it makes you wonder.

America is rapidly approaching the so-called Fiscal Cliff. Maybe you heard. Sign the secession petitions , because this is going to be an epic disaster. Or is it? That, obviously, depends on the outcome … and who you ask. The so-called “Fiscal Cliff” comes on January 1, when several tax cuts expire, and severe cuts to government spending are automatically triggered. It’s also been called “taxmageddon,” with the average American family set to see their taxes increase $3,700 in 2013 unless a new budget deal is stuck. The sticking point to solve the stand-off is what President Barack Obama calls a “balanced approach” of spending cuts and increased revenues. The president campaigned on the pledge to allow the tax rates for the rich to rise, while keeping middle class tax rates where they are currently. Obviously, Obama claims the 2012 election results are proof that the public agrees with him. Just as obviously, plenty of Republicans disagree. The GOP has called for the extension of all Bush-era tax cuts, along with massive spending cuts, in order to reduce the federal budget deficit. Will there be a “grand bargain” in which the two camps essentially split the difference and move on? Or would either side actually prefer the Cliff? The two sides have a few more days to make their cases to the public before Congressional leaders are called to the White House on Friday. That’s when negotiations start in earnest and we learn if the 2012 election made a difference in relations between the two parties. Don’t bet on it. Hopefully, clearer heads will prevail in the end and we will avoid the consequences that economists say could plunge the U.S. back into recession. Then again, this is D.C. How many clear heads even exist there?

According to The Grio: A substitute teacher at Cosby High School in Midlothian, Virginia, has been fired for allegedly having intimate relations with a former student. WRIC-TV reported that Anna Michelle Walters, was fired on Friday when school authorities first learned of the allegations. Justin Fosters, now a college student at West Virginia University, took to Twitter on Tuesday to give a detailed account of an affair with substitute teacher, Walters, while he was a student at Cosby High School with picture proof. Chesterfield County Police are investigating how old Fosters was when the affair took place, and are also looking into claims that Walters might have been involved with other students. Fosters tweeted: “Everyone be on twitter tonight lmfao,” and then followed with “oh man s**** going down tonight please if you attend Cosby or used to please be on twitter it’ll be a treat.” Fosters then proceeded to post a naked picture of Walters, along with screenshots of text messages that were exchanged between the two. His action generated mixed reactions on the social media, as one person tweeted praises at Fosters saying: “No matter what people say @DubVeeU is a f****** boss. #BossStatus” And another person rebuked him for his antics, saying, “Hey, just want you to know That you’re a big thing in Sweden…and we all think you’re a very sad person.” It is unclear what the motivation was, that led Fosters to reveal his exploits with the substitute teacher, but some are speculating that it was part of a fraternity initiation. During a taping of early Season 12 auditions in Charlotte yesterday, production slammed to a halt when Nicki Minaj WENT OFF on Mariah Carey – and portions of the incident are caught on tape! Sources say the fight broke out over a contestant’s performance and that Nicki told Mariah at one point: “I’m gonna knock you out.” Keith Urban and Randy Jackson tried to settle their counterparts down, but to no avail. The taping consequently shut down early in order for both sides to slow their respective rolls. Producers are reportedly legitimately worried about chemistry on set, bu, hey, at least they didn’t bring Khloe Kardashian on board to host .
Everyone’s talking about Amanda Bynes, but the only person she wants to discuss is Lindsay Lohan. According to friends of the troubled star, she’s got it out for her. “She obsessively hates Lindsay ,” says a pal of Amanda’s. “She rambles about ‘that bitch Lindsay’ all the time.” While a rep for Lohan insists “there is no feud” between the two actresses, both 26, the former child stars and current troublemakers certainly know how to stir the pot. “Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?” Lohan tweeted September 16, in reference to Bynes’ supposedly better treatment. Bynes Tweeted at President Obama to fire the cop who arrested her for DUI this year. She is also facing two hit-and-run charges, as well as a charge for driving on a suspended license. Police impounded her BMW last month, thank goodness. Says an insider close to the troubled star, ” Amanda Bynes is spiraling out of control. The Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña starrer End Of Watch appears to have hooked audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival , where the police drama premiered. The fast-paced story of two LAPD officers who form a powerful bond as they patrol the mean streets of South Central Los Angeles required both actors to go through months of training and “ride-alongs” with L.A. and Inglewood police officers; the movie itself unfolds a liberal dose of gun fire, fights and some gruesome scenes. But on one patrol in the lead-up to the shoot, Jake Gyllenhaal experienced a true-life horror — a murder. “On my first ride-along, someone was murdered in front of me,” said Gyllenhaal in Toronto. “There was another officer initially on the scene. It was a drug [shoot-out] between gang members. I was probably the safest you can be. And yet I was at the forefront of the danger. There were moments on these ride-alongs when I was afraid. I was amazed with how LAPD took care of us. When there are two actors in the back of the car, you’re an added responsibility and Michael [Peña] and I were very aware of it.” Gyllenhaal plays Officer Brian Taylor, who patrols the gang-infested streets with Officer Mike Zavala (Peña) in the Open Road film, which bows in theaters nationwide September 21st. Directed by David Ayer ( Harsh Times , Street Kings ), who grew up in L.A.’s long troubled South Central neighborhood, the action unfolds on screen through footage of handheld cameras shot from the P.O.V. of hand-held cameras by police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, dish cams and citizen-caught images in the line of fire. While there are moments peppered throughout the feature showing moments of levity between the two officers that prompted outbursts of laughter in the Toronto audience, the scenes quickly turn to present a mosaic of dark violent streets, human trafficking, gang confrontation and a barrage of shoot-outs. “For me, this movie was a journey,” said Gyllenhaal who also has an executive producer credit on the film. ” I spent five months preparing for this part. I went on ride-alongs with LAPD two or three times a week and was doing tactical training two times per week, and live ammunition training, as well as fight training, every morning. Everything was an internal journey for me. I don’t pay much attention to the external world… It was about that internal ride for me. I have consequently made some of the closest relationships I’ve had in my life so far. It’s safe to say they’re some of my closest friends at the moment.” The building chemistry between Gyllenhaal and Peña’s characters is central to the film. There were quiet whispers among some in Toronto who said that the two had difficulty in their relationship during the long process building up to the film, but Gyllenhaal said that their bond was something he made an effort to build and is happy that their chemistry is visible on screen. “I’m most proud of the relationship between me and Michael. That took the most time to build,” said Gyllenhaal. “Right now in my life, my focus is my work. It’s what matters to me more than anything. The results of that are what the results are. This movie was a different approach to making a movie than I’ve ever experienced.” Along with the ride-alongs with police officers, the two trained together in fighting and with live ammunition. Gyllenhaal admitted that went it came to fights, Peña had the leg up. “Every morning Michael and I would go to this dojo in [L.A. neighborhood] Echo Park and fight these kids. They were between 14 and 20 and they’d beat the crap out of me. Michael is a much better fighter than I am,” he admitted.
