Former college football star Marcus Vick, the younger and possibly more troubled brother of Michael Vick got popped this weekend for contempt of court. Marcus turned himself in to authorities in Newport News, Va., on Sunday after a warrant was issued for his arrest for failing to appear for two court dates. Those dates stem from a suspended license charge, and by not showing, Marcus not only joins our celebrity mug shot page, but will spend 10 days in jail. Sweet deal. He will then be transferred to officials in Montgomery County, Va., to face separate charges stemming from an unrelated incident. Great. According to reports, Vick failed to pay a $40,000 settlement in a civil case in which he was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl in 2008. Marcus Vick was 19 at the time. Vick was booted off the Virginia Tech football team back in 2006 following a string of arrests and has been involved in multiple legal issues since.
Your move, piano-playing dog . This may top even your act. What’s not to love about a singing canine? With a small child on harmonica accompaniment, laying into that harp with gusto and feeling? NOTE : If this duet sounds familiar, as Tosh.0 helpfully points out, it’s because a howling bloodhound plus a harmonica-playing toddler basically equals Miley Cyrus music. Enjoy the future Grammy-winning duo below: Toddler, Dog Singing

21 Jump Street looks like a surefire hit. The film, based on the 1980s TV series that launched Johnny Depp’s career, stars and is produced by Jonah Hill, alongside witting accomplice Channing Tatum. As a couple of new police academy graduates sent into a high school undercover to bring down a drug ring, the two leads are both hilarious in this NSFW trailer. The TV series may not have been a comedy of this nature, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The film hits theaters March 16. Here’s a long sneak preview: 21 Jump Street Trailer
Fantasia Barrino just had a baby with shady boyfriend Antwaun Cook, but he’s already running around, according to reports … with his estranged wife. According to insiders, Antwaun regrets giving up on Paula Cook and their two kids and while Paula is very hurt, relations are thawing between them. Possibly while naked, we’re saying. “Paula and Antwaun both ended up at Club RE:Public in Charlotte over the weekend and things got a little cozy between the two,” the source said . “I don’t know where Fantasia was, but she definitely wasn’t in the club where they were! Antwaun was shoving his tongue down [Paula’s] throat.” The source continued by saying that while Paula was receptive, she did not want to make a scene and was still a little gun-shy with all the PDA. However, “he told Paula she belongs to him because she’s still his wife!” So according to this story, the home-wrecker, who was also accused of cheating on Fantasia in January, is wrecking a new home with his old one. Fantasia and Antwaun first began dating while he was still married to Paula in early 2010, allegedly while he was still married to and living with Paula. “What Fantasia doesn’t know is that through all of this, Paula hasn’t changed the locks on the house she once shared with Antwaun,” the source said. “And Antwaun still has keys, so you can put two and two together.” “Antwaun has lost interest in Fantasia,. He was even egging people on to take pictures of him and Paula together … he didn’t care who knew.”

See, we told you… Is the world ready for a Rihanna and Chris Brown reunion? Well, ready or not, it is happening. Rihanna has recorded a remix to her song “Birthday Cake” featuring Chris Brown, her Grammy-winning ex-boyfriend who was also convicted of assaulting her 3 years ago this month. Recently, the song’s co-producers, Da Internz, hinted to MTV News, that “the feature on [the remix] is gonna shock the world.” They didn’t exaggerate. Your girl Info confirmed with two independent sources that Rihanna has Chris Brown featured on the song. He recorded both a singing verse, and a rap verse. (We’ll see if both of those verses make the final song.) And as for rumors that Chris Brown attended Rihanna’s early birthday celebration after the Grammys this past weekend….Yes, that is also true. In fact, Chris arrived at the party with Rihanna. And stayed. It was not a drive-by appearance. And the energy between the two did not appear purely platonic. The party was a small intimate one. Family members, friends, and interestingly enough, management (Hov was not there, obviously). I imagine there were lots of mixed reactions in the room. The Throne add new instruments and ad libs to just-released ‘N—as in Paris’ clip. By Rob Markman Jay-Z and Kanye West in the music video for “Paris” Photo: Roc-A-Fella Records The Throne’s “N—as in Paris” has been getting the people going since Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne dropped last August, and on Thursday (February 9), the dynamic rap duo breathed new life into their inescapable hit. The “Paris” video , which was released Thursday, compiles tour footage and features live audio that replaces the original recorded version fans are already familiar with. The idea is to bring the Watch the Throne Tour to fans who didn’t get to make it out to the legendary run or those who simply want to relive it all over again. For those familiar with Watch the Throne ‘s third track, the changes are noticeable from the get-go. The video’s sound bed begins with Jay-Z addressing a stadium filled with fans. “Y’all ready to leave?” he asks. “Well ‘Ye not ready to leave.” “Any Jay’s not ready to leave,” Kanye adds. “It’s only one thing left to do. Again!” On that cue, the Yeezy-directed clip jumps into full gear, and the remixed version of “Paris” begins. The first difference is the sliding electric piano laid atop the track’s all-too-familiar opening bounce melody. It’s not the first time West has switched up a mix for a video. In 2009, when he dropped the visuals for “Paranoid” from 808s & Heartbreak, he added new synths to enhance the sound of the record. The real gem of the live remix comes from Hov and Yeezy’s vocal performances. Jay’s verses now sound more hyped up and energetic; there is a grit in his voice that we just don’t get from his studio recordings. The ad libs and interaction between the two MCs is key as well. As Jay raps, “I ball so hard mother—-ers wanna fine me,” ‘Ye backs him up, shouting, “Haaa!” after each line to hype the experience up. Hova returns the favor when Yeezy spits his 16 by riffing, “Go, go, go, go!” repeatedly. There is absolutely no replacing the original “N—as in Paris,” and it isn’t likely that the video version of the hit record will make a dent in many DJs’ playlists. Still, the new “Paris” keeps things fresh and enhances the video-watching experience. How cray is that? Which version of “N—as in Paris” do you prefer: the new live version or the original studio cut? Tell us in the comments! Yes, I just wrote the words ” Transformers Oscar campaign.” Sigh. It’s time we come to terms with the fact that each installment in Michael Bay ‘s robot action series has technically been nominated for one or more Academy Awards — deservedly so, really, given the technical achievements these CG metal-on-metal bashfests have under their belt, even if everything else in these films are aggressively, brain-numbingly mediocre. But Paramount aims to take home one of them statuettes this year, by god, and so they’ve created an awards campaign to break through to Oscar voters in the most effective way possible: Through their TV sets. Bay’s billion-dollar summer hit Transformers: Dark of the Moon is nominated in three technical categories: Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, and Visual Effects. No matter how much you may loathe this series, one thing is irrefutable: Transformers 3 boasts some of the best vfx of the year. That churning building-chomping giant bot thing cutting down a skyscraper in glorious, shiny detail? Mesmerizing, really. Bay slowing down his previously indistinguishable CG robot action for the third film actually helped highlight the amazing visual work he and his team pieced together out of bits and data, and though the first Transformers lost the Visual Effects Oscar to The Golden Compass (the second lost Best Sound Mixing to The Hurt Locker ), 2012 seems like the year for a Transformers win for vfx. ( Dark of the Moon is up against Hugo , Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 , Rise of the Planet of the Apes , and Real Steel in the category.) Which brings us to the two sound categories. Does anyone out there who’s not a sound engineer actually understand the difference between Sound Editing and Sound Mixing? Fine, I’m sure there are a handful of expert McKnowitalls out there. (Essentially, editing is the selection/assemblage of sounds and mixing is the blending of all sounds/dialogue/audio for the final film.) But you know who doesn’t understand the difference between the two? Normal people, and a whole lot of Oscar voters. That’s probably why Paramount’s Transformers Oscar spot doesn’t even bother distinguishing between the two sound categories. “Just vote for us across the board!” the campaign practically screams, and why not? The goal of these spots is basically to put Transformers in the minds of the voters — the ones who can be swayed by a TV commercial telling them that these are the best effects of the year. Take a look at the ad below and chime in below: Do you think this campaign will finally earn the franchise their Oscar? [via Deadline ]
