In court today to determine custody of their three kids, the soon-to-be-divorced spouses went at it via their attorneys, with the most damning allegations being leveled against The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. Witnesses tell TMZ that Nassif’s attorney argued in front of a judge that Maloof has referred to her husband as “stupid, dumb and an idiot” in the presence of their kids. Moreover, in a declaration filed by Nassif’s legal team, the couple’s head of security says he saw Adrienne both bite and scratch her husband in the back of their car last year. In another odd incident, Maloof is accused of taking a gun out of Paul’s briefcase while he slept and photographing it. In response to these charges, a source defends Maloof to TMZ and says: “All Adrienne has ever done is protect herself and Paul has been aggressive and violent numerous times. He is 7 inches taller and weighs 100 pounds more.” Nassif is seeking more time with his sons and a judge will reportedly rule on whether he’ll receive it during a full hearing on a later date. Tony Scott , the director who helped define high-octane ’80s action with his movies Top Gun (1986) and Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), has died of an apparent suicide at age 68. The Wrap reports that Scott jumped from a suspension bridge in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon, and the coroner’s office has confirmed that the British-born filmmaker’s body was retrieved from the LA harbor. A suicide note was discovered in Scott’s car, and The New York Daily News is reporting that a battle with inoperable brain cancer may have led to his suicide. Scott worked for years as a commercial filmmaker before making his feature debut with The Hunger (1983), a Mr. Skin Hall-of-Famer that features Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve in one of the hottest lesbian scenes in SKINema history. That sort of Sapphic heat naturally caught Hollywood’s attention, and box-office supremacy soon followed with films like Days of Thunder (1990), The Last Boy Scout (1991), True Romance (1993), Crimson Tide (1995), and Man on Fire (2004). Scott’s last film was 2010’s Unstoppable , a runaway-train movie starring Denzel Washington and Rosario Dawson . He is survived by his wife and two sons. Tony Scott died Sunday after jumping from a Los Angeles County bridge, authorities said. The 68-year-old’s death was being investigated as a suicide. The filmmaker is best known for directing Top Gun, a sequel to which is reportedly in the works. His death was confirmed by his family late yesterday. “I can confirm that Tony Scott has passed away. The family asks that their privacy is respected at this time,” Scott’s spokesman, Simon Halls, said. Reports indicate Scott plunged to his demise from the Vincent Thomas Bridge spanning San Pedro and Terminal Island around 12:30 p.m. Unlike his brother Ridley Scott, Tony never dazzled with his vision; was a director critics loved to hate for his slick barrage of images at the expense of story. From Top Gun to Crimson Tide , Beverly Hills Cop 2 and Unstoppable , he was a man of action films, living for sky, sea and earth in the name of movie adrenaline. Tony Scott was partners with his brother Ridley in their production company, collaborating on a wide variety of film, TV and advertising projects. R.I.P.
