Jason Biggs Parodies Jason Russell Naked Video

In random news, American Reunion star Jason Biggs stripped down in the middle of a news building in an apparent parody of Jason Russell’s naked meltdown . Jason’s friends at the Invisible Children organization, which produced the viral phenomenon Kony 2012 video, were definitely NOT amused by Biggs’ antics. Then again, they’re responding probably the best way they can. “Who’s Jason Biggs? Was he famous once or something?” asked a rep in response. Ouch. Anyway, while Russell remains hospitalized for the serious psychotic episode, here’s Biggs doing his naked thing at Chicago’s WGN, for reasons unknown: Jason Biggs Mocks Kony 2012 Guy

Thaer Kamal: Trying to Bilk Lindsay Lohan For Six-Figure Settlement?

Thaer Kamal, the man who claims Lindsay Lohan struck him with her car last week, is now trying to reach a big money settlement from the star. Big shocker right there. Mark Geragos, Kamal’s lawyer, contacted Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, to make the demand . He hasn’t yet cooperated with cops by sitting down for an interview. What grounds does Thaer Kamal have to make this demand? Geragos claims to have a surveillance video showing Lindsay behind the wheel as her Porsche strikes Kamal, then getting out of the car and swapping seats with a female passenger in the car, who takes the wheel and drives off. None of the eyewitnesses corroborate this, however. Lindsay’s due in court Thursday for her final probation progress hearing in her probation case. If Kamal goes to the police and presents compelling evidence of said hit-and-run, Judge Stephanie Sautner send LiLo directly to jail. On the other hand, if Lindsay were to pay Kamal, he could conveniently decide not to press charges and the case would be dropped, leaving her in the clear. That’s probably why he’s looking for a payout, fast. And there’s this. According to TMZ, Kamal told people at the scene he was not injured but had a change of heart after learning the driver was Lindsay. Not shady whatsoever. UPDATE: Apparently Lindsay is not going to pay Kamal, because TMZ is now saying he’s shopping around the alleged video. As LiLo’s World turns …

The Host Trailer: The Latest from Stephenie Meyer

We’ve got a long way to go until The Host hits theaters some time in 2013, but the first teaser trailer for the upcoming thriller is already online. Based on a book by Stephenie Meyer – who penned something else called The Twilight Saga – The Host tells the story of an alien species that takes over the consciousness of human beings on Earth. But these aliens didn’t account for Saoirse Ronan’s Melanie, who fights back against the invaders. Check out the first trailer now, but be warned: the film hasn’t even completed shooting yet. This just a preliminary tease. But it’s a pretty darn intriguing one. The Host Teaser Trailer

Ray J Denies Supplying Whitney Houston with Cocaine

The coroner’s report may now be out, and we may now know the official Whitney Houston cause of death , but that doesn’t mean the controversy surrounding this artist has gone away. On an edition of CNN’s Headline News last night, Leolah Brown – the sister of Whitney’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown – came right out and accused Ray J of supplying her former sister-in-law with the cocaine found in her system at the time of her passing. Brown referred to Ray J as Houston’s “runner boy.” In response, a rep for the singer has released the following statement: “Even though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, Ms. Brown falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston’s death. Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year.” Earlier in the week, Ray J also shot down chatter that he was in possession a sex tape starring himself and the late “I Will Always Love You” legend.

Whitney Houston’s Death Now Part Of Beverly Hilton’s History

The hotel has been a celebrity hot spot ever since it opened in 1955, hosting scores of red-carpet events every year. By Kara Warner The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles Photo: Splash News Despite the fact that the Beverly Hilton is currently in the news for being the site of Whitney Houston’s tragic death , the historic hotel has been making headlines for 57 years — the vast majority of those being positive news stories — ever since its opening in 1955. The Who’s Who in Hollywood hot spot has played host to the most A-list guests and star-studded events for nearly six decades by holding more than 175 red-carpet events annually. The Hotel’s first major event was coincidentally the first-ever Grammy Awards in 1959. Best Female Vocalist Ella Fitzgerald took home two awards that year, along with Domenico Modugno, Henry Mancini, and Ross Bagdasarian (made famous by “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)”). In July 1960, then-presidential hopeful John F. Kennedy held a gala fundraiser for which his friend Frank Sinatra helped gather the “Jack Pack,” a group of celebs that included Milton Berle, Janet Leigh, Tony Curtis, Judy Garland and Mort Sahl. The Hilton was host to the first-ever Golden Globe Awards in 1961, where Stanley Kubrick’s “Spartacus” took home the top prize of Best Picture. The Globes returned to the hotel in 1971 and have not left. The annual event draws an international audience of millions, in addition to the ceremony itself, multiple viewing parties and afterparties, all staged at the Hilton. Other notable events include Richard Nixon’s so-called final press conference in 1962 following his loss to Pat Brown in the California gubernatorial election. The hotel hosted the one-time-only tribute to screen legend Cary Grant in 1988, which raised funds for Grace Kelley’s Princess Grace Foundation. In 2004, former First Lady Nancy Reagan made major news by speaking out against the Republican Party and publicly announcing her support for stem-cell research while being honored by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Also for the past thirty years, the Hilton has hosted the prestigious Oscars nominee luncheon. Share your condolences with Whitney’s family and friends on our Facebook page. Jesus Take The Wheel: Bloody Cycle Of Violence In Philadelphia Leaves The City With The Highest Homicide Rate In The Country

SMH at news outlets calling it “Kill-adelphia”… It’s not even the end of February and Philly has had more homicides than there have been days in 2012: Out of the nation’s 10 largest cities, Philadelphia’s homicide rate is the worst. Last year ended with 324 homicides, up from 306 in 2010. And just one month into this year, there has been on average more than one homicide each day in Philadelphia, with many of the 34 deaths unfolding like episodes on “Law & Order.” A man ambushed a car packed with teens — killing three of them — for feuding with his stepsons. A pizza delivery man was shot in the back during a robbery. Another man was beaten to death hailing a cab on a busy downtown street. Then there was the retribution killing of Fernandez-Rivera, the store clerk and alleged murder witness. Aside from the murders, there have been ruthless beatings. On January 2, an off-duty police officer and Iraq war veteran was punched and kicked until he was unconscious outside a landmark restaurant after the Winter Classic hockey game. A couple of weeks later, a 64-year-old Vietnam veteran on his way to meet his wife at the bus stop was attacked and robbed by two teens. “I think folks are desperate. I think they’re desperate and come from a culture where they learn the way to handle an argument is with a gun,” said Chuck Williams, director of the Center for the Prevention of School-Aged Violence at Drexel University. Williams, an education professor at Drexel University, works with educators and youth to prevent school fights, shootings and cyberbullying. “Although the streets don’t offer anything positive, to a lot of the young people, a lot of the boys, the young black men, (the streets are) consistent,” he said. “They know where they stand (on the streets).” Philadelphia’s mayor has made it clear the city is waging an all-out war against violent criminals. “If you want to act like an idiot, if you want to be an a-hole, if you want to be a low-life in this town, we will track you down like the dog that you are,” Mayor Michael Nutter told CNN affiliate KYW last month. At the end of January, city officials unveiled new crimefighting measures, including a reward of $20,000 for information solving a homicide and $500 for locating illegal guns, plus funding for the witness assistance program and increasing police presence. The city’s daily violence has news outlets once again branding the city “Kill-adelphia.” Public safety advocate Anthony Murphy said the moniker is unfair. He urged critics to “look beyond the body count.” “We aren’t all going out shooting each other randomly. Things have happened, yes. There’s a challenge, yes. But Kill-adelphia? No. Should you be afraid to be in Philadelphia? No,” said Murphy, executive director for Town Watch Integrated Services, an organization of volunteers who patrol neighborhoods. “Police can’t do everything. We have a responsibility to address the challenges in our community.” That responsibility, Murphy said, starts with establishing a positive foundation for youth, particularly when it comes to conflict resolution. Arguments are the leading motive for murder, and blacks make up nearly 84% of the homicide victims, according to police data. Stopping arguments from escalating to deadly violence is a priority at City Hall. “Prevention (is) a key portion of what we’re doing,” said Everett Gillison, Nutter’s chief of staff and deputy mayor for public safety. “But also just getting the community to act as one and come forward and say ‘enough is enough. This stuff has got to stop.’ “ True, indeed. This violence MUST stop. Via CNN

Clive Davis’ party still went on last night despite the shocking news of Whitney Houston’s death last night: Whitney Houston “would have wanted the music to go on,” said industry mogul Clive Davis, who opted to proceed with his annual Grammy-eve party at the Beverly Hilton, where hours earlier the pop icon he signed and mentored was pronounced dead at 48. “She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue. The mood, however, at least at the evening’s start, was far from celebratory. Attendees filing into Davis’ event hugged one another, wearing dour or dazed expressions, and many were seen shaking their heads, even as music at the hotel thumped loudly. Davis, who spotted a 19-year-old Houston at a showcase in Sweetwaters supper club in Manhattan, has been hosting a pre-Grammy event for more than three decades. Houston was to attend the gala.
