Simon Cowell is refusing to see pregnant baby-mama-to-be Lauren Silverman until the drama surrounding their tryst dies down, according to reports. The X Factor judge, 53, is “happy to be on vacation,” a source says. Simon Cowell Refuses to See Lauren Silverman Regarding still-married Lauren Silverman , 36, the insider adds, “It’s obvious that the drama with [husband] Andrew that involved Simon, makes him a bit upset.” Cowell “has been in contact with Lauren since her divorce turned messy” but has told friends that “won’t see Lauren in person until things calm down.” Being accused of wrecking her marriage and the fact that he was blindsided by the pregnancy like everyone else have thrown him for a loop, too. “He cares about her; he’s been checking in on her and the baby. He wants Lauren to quickly figure things out with Andrew so they can move forward.” Until they do so, however, he’s going to keep his distance . What will happen after things finally do settle down? Are Simon and Lauren still together? Despite reports, the source says, “Simon still has no plans to move in with Lauren,” but he is determined to play an active role in raising the child. Cowell, who owns several properties in Beverly Hills, “can put her in one of [them when he’s working in L.A.] so he can spend time with his baby.”
Lauren Silverman’s divorce from husband Andrew has been finalized, clearing the path for her to be together with Simon Cowell and their soon-to-be-born child. And, as TMZ reports, the two are still very much together as a couple. The settlement occurred just a few hours ago, as Andrew and Lauren Silverman have agreed to some form of joint custody over their 7-year-old son. She will receive just over $2 million in financial compensation, as well. Lauren will remain in New York City so she can be close to her son, though she is still in a relationship with Simon Cowell, contrary to previous reports. Sources say Lauren and Simon are still “very much together.” Insiders have also said that despite being blindsided by the news, Simon wants to not just provide for the child, but play and active role in its upbringing. He had reportedly been refusing to see his baby mama in person (below) until the divorce drama died down, but had been in constant contact with her. Now that it’s over … will there be a romantic rendezvous? Will she move into his Beverly Hills mansion? And will they go public as a bona fide couple? All we can do is stay tuned. The problem began on March 27 when the 26-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star took his shirt off in a West Hollywood gym parking garage after a workout session with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson. Rob, who recently packed on 40 pounds, blew up after a female photographer snapped a “money shot” of his tubby physique. According to a complaint filed by the photog, Rob was so irate he stole her camera’s memory card and smacked her in the face. Rob was handcuffed and briefly taken into custody, says the source. After questioning, he was released without any charges being filed, but the Beverly Hills Police Department is currently investigating a potential felony robbery charge, which is punishable by up to nine years in prison.
