She may be a fairy godmother in a non-official sense – she did send baby Blue an entire trunk full of books already – but she hasn’t been given any title. Winfrey’s BFF Gayle King said : “Let me just say, if [this] is true, it is news to her. You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born.” A separate source close to the power couple’s camp also tells E! News that this is not true, and that Media Takeout was wrong (in a stunning revelation). Following Cynthia Nixon’s declaration that homosexuality – at least in her case – is a choice , the reaction within the gay community has been strong, swift and mixed. The harshest rebuke of the Sex and the City star has likely come from celebrity chef Cat Cora, who appeared yesterday on The Talk and said: “I’m gay, and I was born this way,” adding of Nixon’s view and how it could impact others: “I really feel like it was dangerous and irresponsible of Cynthia, especially in this environment today when so many young people are taking their lives.” Continued Cora, making a plea to the actress who is currently starring on Broadway: “I know growing up as a young gay person how much you hate yourself, how much you already think you’re different. And for someone to say, ‘It’s a choice, you can be this way or that way,’ I think it’s dangerous and I ask Cynthia to please, reach out to the community and say – to all the people who do hate themselves right now, all the young kids who are impressionable – to say, ‘You’re OK, take it one day at a time, it gets better.'” Nixon has been in relationships with both men and women, but dismisses the classification of “bisexual.” I completely feel that when I was in relationships with men, I was in love and in lust with those men,” she told The Daily Beast . “And then I met [girlfriend Christine Marinoni] and I fell in love and lust with her. I am completely the same person and I was not walking around in some kind of fog. I just responded to the people in front of me the way I truly felt.” Finally, in a Huffington Post article , Tracy Baim – editor of the Chicag-based LGBT publication The Windy City Times – writes: “The bottom line is that those who hate us, want to cure us, or even kill us don’t really take the time to understand these nuances. “Yes, there are some who advocate a ‘nature made us this way’ argument to help us accept ourselves. But others still try to get gays to suppress their sexuality, or transgender people to suppress their gender identity, no matter how they got that way.”
Sad news out of Elkview, W.V., this morning. Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has suffered a miscarriage, according to reports . “She was having bad cramps for the past two weeks, and then she miscarried,” an insider said the 19-year-old, already parents of 2-year-old twins Aleeah and Ali. Fiance Jeremy Calvert, who got engaged to Leah late last year, told OK! Magazine that the miscarriage has made for “a devastating experience” for himself and Leah. “All I can do is support Leah and take things day by day,” said Jeremy, who’s not the father of Ali and Aleeah (that would be her former husband Corey Simms). “It’s hard, but we will get through it.” In the last two years, Leah has known lots of sorrow. She had a very traumatic pregnancy, starting at age 16, and went into early labor at just six months. She remained on strict bed rest for the last trimester of her pregnancy, and Ali has been dealing with serious health issues from the moment she was born. Combined with her divorce, it’s all been too much to take. Luckily, she is reportedly very happy with Calvert and has him to lean on in this difficult time.
Kelly Rowland has been spending time with her BFF Beyonce and the most awesomest baby in the world (Blue Ivy Carter) and is making sure we know about it. In a recent interview , Bey’s former Destiny’s Child collaborator gushed about just how beautiful Beyonce and Jay-Z’s newborn is, as well as how perfect they are. Gushed may be an understatement, actually. “She is just…. more precious than a diamond. She is so stunning. So beautiful. I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. She’s beautiful,” said Kel of Blue. They’re not actually sisters, but we get the point. Kelly was asked if she’s been visiting the baby often. She saod: “Absolutely! You have to be a good aunt!” Again, not technically Blue’s aunt. But point taken. Kelly went on to say that basically, Jay and Bey are the best parents of ALL TIME (where’s Kanye when you need him) and that Blue Ivy is the Messiah. “She’s in mommy-vile and her husband is in daddy-vile, and the baby is SO beautiful! Beyonce is an incredible mother. I’m so proud of her, so proud.” We have no doubt she’s sincere, but one gets the sense she’s trying to prove something as well. We get it, Kel. Bey rules. Those poor dogs: Authorities in West Tennessee arrested two women when they discovered 128 live dogs, one dead dog and a live cat inside a U-Haul truck during a traffic stop on Interstate 40, WSMV-TV reports. The Commercial-Appeal in Memphis reports that the dogs were hungry, thirsty and living in squalor, without ventilation. The newspaper reported that the arrested women were associated with Hearts for Hounds, a dog rescue organization. By Tuesday afternoon, the women — Bonnie Sheehan, 55, and a passenger, Pamela A. King-McCracken, 59, both of the Long Beach, Calif., area — each faced 128 counts of aggravated animal cruelty, a Class E felony, and were jailed on $100,000 bond each in Fayette County. Officials at the scene said the women were driving from California to Virginia. A check of the website for Hearts for Hounds showed they were relocating from Long Beach to Virginia.
