Biggie Smalls Ghost to Star in New Animated TV Series "House of Wallace"

The ghost of Biggie Smalls – as well as the late rapper’s children – are set to star in a new animated TV show. Seriously. This is an actual project. The show will focus on Biggie Smalls’ offspring and how they’re running his New York recording studio, producers from Ossian Media said. House of Wallace will star T’yanna Wallace, 19, and C.J. Wallace, 16, voicing their animated likenesses. The hip-hop legend’s kids said in a statement: “It’s been 16 years since our Dad was murdered and we miss him dearly.” “It is such an honor for us to be able to carry on his legacy , not only through his music but also by channeling him through our own creativity.” ” House Of Wallace is a great opportunity to bridge the gap between our parents who loved his music and [those who were] not around to really appreciate it.” Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G., a.k.a. Biggie Smalls, was murdered in 1997. He was only 24 years old; the crime remains unsolved. While the media group has yet to partner with a network, it has a few in mind to bring this to fruition. Another major selling point? B.I.G.’s music. The series will reportedly feature original songs, as well as re-imagined renditions of some of the many classics from the Chris Wallace catalog. It is not known who will voice Biggie Smalls’ ghost, but the rapper’s spirit is expected to be a central character on the series, mentoring the kids. The ghost will “appear in ethereal form to guide them through the adversities they face as they struggle to preserve their father’s labor of love.” It’s no Tupac hologram … but we’re intrigued.

LAPD Apologizes to Notorious B.I.G.’s Family For Autopsy Release

LAPD detectives have apologized to the family of the late Notorious B.I.G. for failing to warn them about the planned release of his autopsy report last Friday. The rapper (real name Christopher Wallace) was killed 15 years ago in a drive-by, but the Notorious B.I.G. autopsy report had never seen the light of day. The detectives intended to notify the rapper’s family , but the report was released prematurely “due to an administrative error,” officials said in a statement. “Our detectives personally spoke with the Wallace family (Friday) night, and apologized for not notifying them prior to the release” said Capt. Billy Hayes. The 1997 slaying remains unsolved, and under investigation, Hayes added: “Obviously this has been a challenging case; We hope that witnesses or other people with information will come forward and give us the clues we need.” Why release the report now in any case? L.A. County’s Chief Coroner Investigator Craig Harvey said a security hold on the report’s release was just lifted. The 23-page report revealed the rapper was hit by four bullets after leaving an event in March 1997, and that only the fourth – which hit his heart, lung and colon – killed him. The rapper’s family complained Friday that they were not notified of its release, and also criticized police for not closing one of L.A.’s highest-profile unsolved murders. Both the LAPD and the FBI investigated Wallace’s killing, which came just months after another rap superstar, Tupac Shakur, was gunned down in Las Vegas. The FBI looked into whether any LAPD were involved in Wallace’s shooting. The deaths of Wallace and Shakur, both unsolved, have been the subject of rampant speculation, and are a tragic but indelible part of the genre’s lore. The one-time friends and hip-hop pioneers became rivals and instigators in a wide-ranging, often violent East Coast-West Coast rap rivalry during the 1990s.

For Discussion: Should Weezy Throw Out An Apology For Dissin’ New York?

New York Senator Malcom Smith isn’t too cool with Lil Wayne right now. He’s called Weezy out and is asking fellow New Yorker Nicki Minaj to step in and encourage Wayne to apologize. The offending comment, via MTV, was brief: “Flat out: I don’t like New York,” Wayne said Monday when he was asked how performing with Minaj in the city went last week. Smith responded swiftly, issuing a statement slamming Wayne and praising New York as “the birthplace of the Hip Hop music movement.” Smith, who recently helped promote an anti-gun initiative in the city, also slammed Wayne’s 2007 gun possession arrest, which resulted in the rapper serving eight months on Rikers Island. At a Times Square press conference Wednesday, Smith’s crusade continued. He railed against Wayne for making money in New York while bashing it and alleged the rapper’s comments had also insulted the likes of Frank Sinatra and Jay-Z, because both men had “made endearing” songs about the city. Charles Fisher of the Hip Hop Summit Youth Council also expressed concern that Wayne’s comments could spark a rap war, Politicker reported. “Sixteen years ago, Tupac Shakur was murdered, and Biggie Smalls came right after that….We can’t afford to have a war between New York and the South. Lil Wayne is out of Atlanta, grew up in New Orleans,” Fisher said. “It is my hope and I believe and I want to believe that he had a lapse in mental judgement for some strange reason and I hope that he will think about it,” Smith said. “New Yorkers are forgiving people. We’re prepared to forgive Lil Wayne if, in fact, he makes a sincere apology.” Let us know what you think. Does Smith have a point or is he a little sensitive? Source Images via Twitter/WENN

Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘Dictator’ Is A Snooki ‘Supporter’

Admiral General Aladeen also confesses to the murders of Tupac and Biggie Smalls during MTV News interview. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Sacha Baron Cohen as the Dictator at 2012 Cannes Film Festival Photo: Getty Images “Welcome! Death to the West!” That is how the Dictator greeted MTV News’ Josh Horowitz when he sat down with him for an interview. latest infamous character is Admiral General Aladeen, a dictator who oppresses his people and dislikes democracy. In “The Dictator,” he’s mistaken for a refugee and taken under the wing of Zoey, played by Anna Faris . Aladeen’s misadventures in America lead to an array of hilarious culture clashes. Thus, the interview was nothing less than we’d expect — offensive, outrageous and, yes, very, very funny. After inquiring about Horowitz’s knowledge of the rapper Tupac Shakur, the Dictator reveals it was him who killed the MC. “He came to play at my birthday party and all the time he get on the microphone, and you know what he tell me?” Aladeen questioned. “You know what he tell me? He said, ‘Put your hands’ — he ordered me! — he ordered me to put my hands in the air and wave them like I just don’t care. Why would I, Dictator, wave my hands like I don’t care? I wave my hands like I do care, like this. I don’t do it like I don’t care. How dare he come to my palace and my birthday and tell me how to wave my hands like I don’t care? I care about the hands!” Apparently someone forgot to inform the tyrant that it’s a figure of speech here in America. “To put your hands in the air like you don’t care?” he continued. “You think Hitler put his hands in the air like he don’t care? It was a very careful gesture that he did. I won’t do it here. And this Biggie Smalls, he then performed the next night for my weekend of birthday. That fat bastard ate all of the buffet. It cost over 120 Euros per head.” When our correspondent noted that his phrase is not respectful to the dead, the admiral general replied, “It’s not respectful to the people who wanted to eat the buffet.” Note to self: Eat before heading to Aladeen’s palace. Although, it’s possible not much eating will take place on a trip to his home. Shortly after assuring Horowitz he has nothing to worry about and sliding a gun on the table between them, he talked of his latest tryst with reality-TV star Kim Kardashian. “I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of [stars in America] that come to the palace and negotiate with the pimps,” he said. “Kim Kardashian, she came two weeks ago. I negotiated with her pimp, who is also her mother. Three-hundred-thousand dollars for one hour — not bad. Good rate.” But Kardashian isn’t the only American entertainer the Dictator is fond of. He happens to enjoy Snooki and has a list of movies he’s enjoyed — one of which is definitely in the wrong category. “I am a huge supporter of your Snooki,” he said. “I find him a very funny, little, orange man. And we have many of your sci-fi and fantasy films like ‘Transformers’ or ‘Harry Potter’ or ‘Schindler’s List.’ ” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Dictator.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Lil’ Kim Disses Nicki Minaj Again

The veteran rapper aims profanity-laced tirade at upstart star during a New Year’s Eve show in Massachusetts. By Jayson Rodriguez Lil’ Kim Photo: Taylor Hill/ FilmMagic Hot damn, here we go again! Lil’ Kim hit the stage in Massachusetts on New Year’s Eve and the Queen Bee stung Nicki Minaj once more by lashing out against the upstart lyricist. The diatribe was similar to one Kim unleashed in New York back in November. “I think this other bitch got a song with Keyshia Cole, right,” Kim told the audience at the Hippodrome club on Friday, referencing Cole’s single “I Ain’t Thru” featuring Nicki. “Coming at me and the motherf—in’ other queen, Mary J. Blige. Me and my girl Mary J. Blige about to eat these bitches alive where they won’t even f—ing exist no more and erase their f—ing social security number! We gon’ remind them who the f— we are! I’m not playing with this bitch for 2011. I’m saying, we can rock together but, bitch, you ain’t taking nothing from me!” The spat that began last year looks like it will continue to run into the New Year. Lil’ Kim has spoken out in interviews about Nicki Minaj, revealing that the two were set to collaborate before the veteran rapper felt the newcomer wasn’t paying her proper homage. In an interview with New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97, Lil’ Kim explained how she briefly aligned herself with Cash Money Records — the parent label to Nicki’s recording home, Young Money. While the two were working on projects, they discussed collaborating. Once they began putting a song together, however, Kim suggested that the younger artist got upset over her lack of recognition on the number compared to the one-time Biggie Smalls prot
