Director Antoine Fuqua who gave us Denzel Washington’s “Training Day” was seen in Italy this week for the 2019 Ischia Global Film & Music Fest off the coast of Naples. Source: Randy Shropshire / Getty Authorities Investigating Vandalization At Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Jay-Z’s 40/40 staff is on high alert after the club’s front door was vandalized in a possible attempted break-in, TMZ reports. While surveillance footage shows two men hanging around the venue “all week,” authorities don’t feel there’s enough evidence to treat them as suspects. “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … NYPD took a criminal mischief report over the weekend after the club’s staff called cops and reported someone had jacked up their front door, in what the staff believed to be an attempted break-in,” TMZ states. “ We’re told cops were shown photos of the damaged door, which looked like someone chipped away at it with some sort of instrument. However, officers noted the door had since been fixed.” See a photo of the door here . After reviewing surveillance footage, there wasn’t any clear evidence of a crime being committed, but according to the site, authorities are still going to investigate. Based on what the staff have seen on their OWN cameras, they reportedly feel “strongly” that someone was, in fact, trying to break in to the venue. We’re told the club is in possession of footage that shows two suspicious men hanging out in front of the building Friday afternoon, where one of them appears to come to the door in question … according to the staff who reviewed it, anyway. The alarm didn’t go off. Our 40/40 sources also say that upon further review of more surveillance video, the staff noticed these two guys had been hanging around the club all week, with suspicious vehicles driving by around the same times as well. We’re told the club feels they were staking the place out. Now, it should be pointed out that the two men of concern are NOT suspects in the probe yet, as police didn’t feel there was enough there to list them as such. TMZ goes on to say that the staff is in a “state of worry” and have had “round-the-clock security since Friday because of it.”

According to reports from TMZ , sources close to Soulja have explained that his three months in L.A. County Jail served as an eye-opener for the rapper, and now that he’s back home, he’s cutting a lot of unhealthy things out of his life–which includes both cutting people off and cutting down on his time on Twitter and Instagram. One of the biggest changes yet is that Soulja Boy reportedly kicked a bunch of people out of his San Fernando Valley house, the same one that was burglarized while he was locked up. Back in April, thieves hit Soulja’s home and made off with $500,000 in cash, jewelry and his iPhone — which they allegedly used to go live on the rapper’s Instagram account. But, when Young Draco caught wind of the burglary in jail, he was convinced the whole thing was an inside job . In the current day, Soulja was just released from jail last Sunday, getting out 146 days early due to a combo of good behavior, time served, and overcrowding. In April, Soulja was sentenced to 240 days and 265 days of community service for violating his probation.

Source: Donat Sorokin / Getty Philly Man Climbs Building To Save His Mother During A Fire According to ABC Philly , a Philadelphia man has become a local hero after scaling a West Philadelphia apartment building during a fire to save his mother. Jermaine, 35, is a roofer by trade, so he has some experience with tall buildings. “As kids we used to jump roofs,” he said. “Glad I had the practice.” Last week when the 19-story Westpark Apartments high-rise at 4445 Holden Street started filling with smoke, Jermaine got a call from his sister that their mother, 65-year-old Sheila, who is bed-ridden, couldn’t get out of her 15th floor apartment. So he sprang into action. After being blocked by the police when trying to enter the building, he decided to climb up and save her himself. “All for my mom’s safety, period. I wasn’t worried about mine at all. She can’t get out of the bed or walk around so if there’s a fire she needs help out,” he said. Jermaine actually DID make it all the way to his mom’s balcony and was assured by her that she was doing OK because the fire was contained. Instead of arresting Jermaine when he climbed back down, an officer actually let him go. “He understood the circumstances, he knew – when your adrenaline is pumping, and your mom is up there, you thinking she’s dying – you’d do anything you can,” Jermaine said according to ABC Philly.
