Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Dr. Gregory Lovallo Demands $15K From Rapper & Claims She Was “Unjustly Enriched” By False Insurance Claim A Northern New Jersey urologist has accused Lil Kim of cashing in on an insurance scam all the while failing to pay $15,000 for specialized medical treatment that may have been part of the con. Dr. Gregory Lovallo sued the “All About The Benjamins” rapper earlier this month for breach of contract, saying he provided urology-related health care to Lil Kim – whose real name is Kimberly Jones – but the rapper never paid her $15,000 bill for it. And the urologist alleges that Kim’s treatment may have been related to an insurance scam that she later profited off of. The doctor does not go into detail about what made him suspect that Kim was allegedly part of an insurance scheme, but does say that she was “unjustly enriched” as a result, court papers state. “Based upon information and belief, defendant improperly converted insurance proceeds to his/her own personal use,” Dr. Lovallo’s complaint, which was obtained by BOSSIP, states. “Based upon information and belief, defendant was unjustly enriched.” Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty The doctor wants the $15,000, plus interest and his lawyer’s fees paid. We’ve reached out to Dr. Lovallo’s lawyer for comment. Kim, who filed for bankruptcy last year after admitting owing millions to creditors, hadn’t responded to the case as of May 31. However, if she doesn’t answer the doctor’s complaint by next month, a judge could put her in default over the case.
Source: David Howells / Getty Frank Lucas Dead At Age 88 The man who Denzel Washington immortalized on the silver screen has gone home to glory. According to Rolling Stone , heroin kingpin Frank Lucas died of natural causes yesterday as confirmed by his nephew Aldwan Lassiter. For those who haven’t seen American Gangster, Lucas is a legend of sorts. He is credited as the visionary behind the “Golden Triangle” cartel that imported heroin from Asia inside the coffins of dead Vietnam soldiers. “Who the hell is gonna look in a dead soldier’s coffin,” Lucas said told New York in the 2000 article “The Return of Superfly.” “We had him make up 28 copies of the government coffins . . . except we fixed them up with false bottoms, big enough to load up with six, maybe eight kilos.” (Lucas’ coffin claim, however, came into question following the release of the movie.) The DEA and NYPD collaborated to bring Lucas down in 1975. The drug czar would eventually go on to snitch on a LOT of people as he turned state’s evidence The Drug Enforcement Agency and the New York Police Department ultimately ended Lucas’ reign in 1975, with Lucas receiving a 70-year prison sentence. However, Lucas later turned state’s witness and provided evidence that resulted in dozens of drug-related arrests. Lucas was released from prison in 1981 after his sentence was reduced to time served. Three years later, Lucas was again busted for a drug deal that violated his parole and spent seven years behind bars. No, seriously, she freed slaves as Harriet Tubman on “Underground,” piloted the Starship Enterprise in “Star Trek: Into Darkness” and now leads the special elite kaiju-battling military squadron in “ Godzilla: King Of The Monsters .” At this point, she’s quite possibly the most diverse (and magical) Black woman in Hollywood who shines in the larger-than-life summer blockbuster about giant monsters (or “titans”) throwing hands (and buildings) for the crown to rule Earth. And if that sounds epic, it absolutely is, especially when you see a fearless woman of color from Brooklyn commanding our last military hope (ON EARTH) in the midst of colossal chaos. So we absolutely had to interview her (and did briefly) just days before the release of the biggest (and boldest) nostalgia-splashed Action Thriller of the summer. Tell us about “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” How did you get involved with the film? “I was reading the script and realized that this was something that actually resonated–that it’s not just another blockbuster movie that here was a story that was being told with so much heart because Michael Doherty–the guy who’s directing it–Godzilla is such a huge part of the fabric of his life that it’s such a passion project for him that I could feel his soul in wanting to tell this story and give Godzilla fans an experience with it that made him feel the way he felt as a child… And so when they offered this role of “Diane Foster” to me she represented something that doesn’t exist in the world and I felt like that was a beautiful follow-up to Harriet Tubman because here she was in pursuit of something that she had never experienced in life which was freedom and so here with now “Diane Foster” representing something that doesn’t exist in the world which was a woman who is serving as a green beret special forces officer leading an elite squad of team members–as part of Monarch which is a huge part of the history of Godzilla …and women are just now actually passing this special forces assessment and selection phase of military training to be able to go on to the special forces qualification course (which could go up to 24 months) to become green berets and serve as special forces officers so I realized that this was a unique opportunity for me to represent something that doesn’t exist but create the possibility for it to be tangible and visible for it not just to be a woman but a woman of color and so I was really excited about that” We notice that you pick a lot of diverse roles–you were in a “Star Trek” movie–minding your business and doin’ your thing–and we love that about you. You were Harriet Tubman but you’ve also done a lot of things that Black women have NOT done before–ever–has it ever hit you that you’ve accomplished these things in your career? “The thing is, I always look back retrospectively and I know the things I’m drawn to–I know the things that resonate–and when those things resonate and hit that part of your spirit those are things that draw me in and I’m grateful which is why I try to stay in tune with my spirit because, I’m like, I will follow you wherever you lead and if this is where you’ve lead me thus far then I know that there’s more to go… So while I’m in this season of cup runneth over and I’m getting the opportunities to do these things and have all these diverse roles I know there will come a point in my life, in my career, where I’m going to turn that cup over and start pouring into the cup of those behind me in the generation to come and I look forward to that” You mentioned “Underground” and Harriet Tubman and how important that is in your career. Is there still an opening, in your mind, for that to come back? Would you be open to pursuing that again? “Underground” holds a huge part of my heart not just because of the opportunity to play this iconic figure but also the family that was forged from that experience–if that should ever come back around I’d gladly rejoin my family in continuing that narrative because there’s exhaustive content as it pertains to that narrative and that story but also I think we have put into the world 20 episodes of television that will live on forever–20 episodes that I am tremendously tremendously proud of” “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” in theaters now!

Source: JGI / Getty Charlotte Twins Awarded Over $1 Million In Scholarships A pair of Charlotte, North Carolina twins have promising futures ahead of them. Twin sisters Kamryn and Kaycee Hailey at West Charlotte high school were profiled by WBTV News who reports that they’re while they’ll be attending rival colleges, they’ve racked up over $1 million in scholarships. One of those scholarships is The Charlotte Post’s Top Senior scholarship , which Kaycee was awarded due to her 4.65-grade point average, work as a peer mentor and other amazing accomplishments. While she was the runner-up for the top prize, she’ll still be awarded a scholarship for her schooling this fall. Kamryn is going to be a Tarheel at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, while her sister Kaycee is set to be a Duke Blue Devil. Kamyrn is looking to pursue studying either business or communications and Kaycee is thinking about African-American studies. The two scholars are both excited to have their independence, and are excited that both their campuses are down the street from each other. “It’s nice knowing that I’m on a different campus and I get to be my own independent person, but if I ever want to see her I can just go so easily and see her,” says Kacyee. “I’m excited to see what it’s going to be like when I get to college,” says Kamryn. The former “Teen Mom” star has reportedly lost custody of her three children, reports E! News . A judge reportedly ruled this week that she will not regain custody of her three children Jace, 9, Kaiser,4, and Ensley, 2. “Jenelle was stunned that the judge did not give her back the kids,” an insider told E! News. “They are all for the time being remaining with their respective caregivers.” Jenelle’s mom Barbara Evans confirmed to E! News that she, not Jenelle, has custody of Jace and Ensley. “Of course I would like for Jenelle to get them all back eventually, but certain things have to happen first,” she told them. Jenelle and her husband David Eason will return to court next Tuesday, for now, they’re reportedly limited to “one hour once a week of supervised visits with the kids. As previously reported Jenelle was fired from MTV’s “Teen Mom 2” around the same time that her husband admitted on Instagram to killing their French bulldog for “acting aggressively” with their toddler.
