Source: splash / Splash News 21 Savage Turns Himself In It’s been one hell of a month for 21 Savage , and it seems as though things just keep getting crazier. Just days after being released from ICE custody , the Atlanta rapper turned himself to South Georgia police on Friday for a felony theft charge stemming from an incident in 2016. TMZ reports: In 2016, 21 was booked to play a club gig in Southern Georgia. We’re told 21 got a $9,500 advance from the promoter and got the $7,500 balance when he showed up at the club. For some reason, 21 bailed without taking the stage, but still left with the money. In all, the promoter claimed she was out $17,000. The promoter went to cops in October 2016, filed a police report and then filed paperwork to get a felony warrant. 21 was released from jail Saturday morning on his own recognizance and awaits his court date. Gucci learned the hard way after folks were up in arms about the luxury brand’s new sweater design that resembles Blackface. After folks like T.I. and Dapper Dan spoke out against the brand , Gucci has finally addressed the controversial moments and proposed ways that they plan to do better in the future. Not only was La Flame presented with a city to the city while performing in his hometown, but it was also announced mid-concert that Houston will be getting a new amusement park, all thanks to Travis Scott and his love of ASTROWORLD. Source: Stephen Green / Getty The ‘Empire’ Actor Recalls A Traumatic Night J ussie Smollett is finally speaking up after reports of his brutal attack by racist, homophobic MAGA must. Smollett sat down with Robin Roberts of Good Morning America for his first interview detailing his attack last month. He said he was in the middle of picking up some food from Subway in Chicago and was on the phone with his manager when someone called him a racist and homophobic slur. Jussie said a guy in a mask then punched him screaming “This MAGA country ni**er,” and Jussie punched him back, which resulted in a short scuffle outside. He said a second unknown guy jumped in, kicking Jussie in his back. In the interview with Robin, Jussie also addressed the doubters who might’ve thought he was lying about the whole incident: “I have to acknowledge the lies, and the hate. And it feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more. A lot more. And that says a lot about the place that we are in our country right now… It’s not necessarily that you don’t believe that this is the truth, you don’t even want to see the truth. Smollett, who portrays the openly gay musician Jamal on Empire , said he suffered injuries to his clavicle bone and ribs during the attack. However, some still questioned his story: “For me, the main thing was the idea that I somehow switched up my story, you know? And that somehow maybe I added a little extra trinket, you know, of the MAGA thing,” Smollett said. “I didn’t need to add anything like that. They called me a f—-, they called me a n—-. There’s no which way you cut it. I don’t need some MAGA hat as the cherry on top of some racist sundae.” Jussie also addressed rumors that he was in the middle of a late night love visit when he got attacked. “I’ve heard that it was a date gone bad, which I also resent that narrative,” he said. “I’m not gonna go out and get a tuna sandwich and a salad to meet somebody. That’s ridiculous. And it’s offensive.” Jussie was actually hanging with his friend and creative director Frank Gatson in an apartment, and they got hungry, which prompted the Subway visit. Smollett said the only reports he heard that were inaccurate were the ones claiming the attackers were wearing MAGA hats, which they weren’t. Smollett also explained why he was initially reluctant to hand over his phone to the police: “They wanted me to give my phone to the tech for three to four hours. I’m sorry but — I’m not gonna do that. Because I have private pictures and videos and numbers: my partner’s number, my family’s number, my castmate’s number, my friends’ numbers, my private emails, my private songs, my private voice memos.” Jussie didn’t even want to call the police at first, but Gatson did it on his behalf. When the cops arrived, they said they found Smollett in his apartment with stained clothing and a “white rope draped around” his neck, according to the report. “I was looking at myself, just like checking myself out. I saw the bruise on my neck, you know, like the little — the rope burn around my neck,” he said. “So when the police came I kept the clothes on, I kept the rope on me. … I mean, it wasn’t, like, wrapped around. But, yeah, it was around because I wanted them to see.” Jussie said he believes the photos released of the two possible suspects are accurate. He’s hopeful that the police will track the culprits down, and he hopes his story will inspire other marginalized groups: “I think people need to hear the truth,” Jussie said. “Cause everybody has their own idea. Source: JRP/WENN / WENN “Plug Walk” Rapper Accused Of Being Rent Dodger On LA Manse Rich The Kid has been having a hell of a time these last few months. Just this week, the rapper was targeted in an armed robbery at an LA recording studio. And now, the rapper has landed in legal hot water over accusations that he owes more than $30,000 in back rent on the palatial Hollywood Hills pad where he and pregnant gal pal Tori Brixx have been living. Landlord Haikuhe Chichyan sued Rich The Kid last month for breach of contract last month after the rapper allegedly stopped paying the $22,500 a month rent for his Hollywood mansion. Lawyers for Chichyan – the chairman of a trust that owns the mansion – accused Rich of skipping out on the rent beginning in December 2018 even though he signed a half year-long lease promising to pay, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. In total, the landlord said that Rich, whose real name is Dimitri Roger, owes $32,376, which includes a $2,500 late fee and $7,376 in utilities. The home in question was built for a king: the 5,600 square foot pad boasts five bedrooms, six baths, views of downtown Hollywood and the Hollywood sign. The mansion’s over the top amenities include a saltwater pool, sauna, 20 foot high ceilings and a spa. The rapper has frequently posted pictures of himself on social media smoking by the pool or hanging out in one of his cars in the driveway. It was not clear if Rich was still living in the home. It was listed as available to rent online for $24,900 a month or $2,700 a night. A lawyer for the landlord didn’t respond to a request for comment. We also reached out to Rich The Kid for comment. The landlord’s case isn’t the only legal cases that that Rich The Kid is facing. In addition to a nasty divorce from his wife, Antionette, we exclusively revealed that a woman named Candis Watts sued him over the paternity of her five-year-old daughter. Rich has not yet responded to that case.
Source: Julian Finney / Getty Kevin Garnett Refuses To Pay Estranged Wife Spousal Support Kevin Garnett doesn’t think his wife is deserving of any kind of spousal support according to a recent response filed in his divorce. According to The Blast, KG’s wife, Brandi Padilla , filed for divorce last July. In her filing, she asked for physical custody of the couple’s two children and for the court to award her spousal support. The couple’s oldest daughter was born in 2008 and the youngest in 2013. Source: Nick Laham / Getty Welp, KG filed his response on Monday, where he is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the kids. He is also asked court to terminate spousal support for Brandi. KG cited a prenup the couple signed a month before the marriage. According to The Blast, KG made over $300 million in his NBA career. Padilla was a longtime girlfriend of Garnett, and the two tied the knot in July 2004 during a private ceremony in California.
