According to NYDailyNews , 3 children are dead and 15 more are injured after a gunman entered Aztec High School and began firing indiscriminately. FoxNews reports that the shoot has been killed, but it isn’t clear if he was shot by police or took his own life. All Farmington Municipal Schools are in lock-down while police investigate further. R.I.P. to the children who lost their lives and prayers up to those who are injured and recovering.

Michael Slager Sentenced For Walter Scott Shooting The ex-cop who gunned down unarmed Walter Scott as he ran away has been handed a hefty sentence. Michael Slager , whose trial was initially deadlocked after a single juror “could not and would not reach a decision”, has been sentenced to 20 years for Scott’s murder. Slager pleaded guilty to violating Scott’s civil rights when he shot and killed him in 2015. Federal prosecutors were seeking a life sentence for Slager who they charged with second-degree murder. His lawyers, however, argued that he should face voluntary manslaughter. While he for DAMN SURE should’ve gotten life, it’s incredible to see a cop face some kind of justice. They just put a white cop in jail for 19 years for killing an unarmed Black man in South Carolina. #WalterScott The reckoning. Image via WENN Warren Moon Accused Of Sexual Assault By Ex-Employee Add another name to the ever-growing list of high-profile men who have been outed, accused and sued for sexual misconduct. According to a report in the Seattle Times , a former employee of NFL legend Warren Moon alleges that he forced her to sleep in his bed on business trips while wearing a thong. That’s not even the worst of it. Wendy Haskell also charges Moon with grabbing her forcibly by the crotch in addition to taking off her bikini bottoms after slipping drugs into her drink. Yeah. Moon hasn’t commented on the accusations, but he is taking a leave of absence from his gig as a Seattle Seahawks radio analyst.

Mary Norwood Caught On Tape Stereotyping Black Atlanta Citizens With the City of Atlanta’s big Mayoral election approaching tomorrow, a new scandal may have sealed the nail in the coffin for white Republican candidate Mary Norwood. According to an exclusive from Rolling Out , an old recording of a meeting between Norwood and the Buckhead Young Republicans — which she explicitly asked NOT be recorded — reveals some questionable racist language that she used while discussing her 2009 loss to Mayor Kasim Reed by a mere 700 votes. Norwood was caught insinuating that the votes in question were due to voter fraud, particularly fraudulent votes from African American citizens, whom she referred to as “felons” who were likely “getting money from the government.” T.I. and other artists have publicized the clip via social media: “It’s a lot harder to drive a van with six felons, you know guys who are going to commit felonies by voting illegally, if somebody’s watching… So what happened was, they knocked on the door Saturday night, and said, ‘Jimmy Johnson, you are out here in Mableton, and we are glad for you. And you’re getting money from the government. But you’re still registered on Henry Thomas Drive. And we just need you to come back in on Tuesday and vote on Henry Thomas Drive.” SMH.
