Jasmine Washington Said Kirk Frost Seduced And Abandoned Her And Baby The woman who said she gave birth to married reality star Kirk Frost’s baby son has seen her paternity case against him come to a standstill. Jasmine Washington sued Frost in January to prove he was the father of Kannon Mekhi Washington and to get him to support his son. Washington said she and Frost enjoyed a secret relationship where he encouraged her not to work, and she became his kept woman. He gave her a living allowance and even gave her a car to drive as an incentive to stay with him, according to court docs obtained by BOSSIP. Washington said Frost fathered her baby son but abandoned both of them when she ended their relationship. Now, Jasmine said it’s time he steps up and pay child support as well as her legal fees. But BOSSIP has learned that the case has stalled because Washington apparently hasn’t been able to find Frost and serve him with her complaint. The legal situation has become so dire for Washington that she asked a judge to hold a hearing about Frost’s lack of service next month. Washington’s lawyer did not respond to BOSSIP’s request for comment. Frost also didn’t respond to our request for comment. Washington, who made her debut on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” earlier this week, told co-stars, Yung Joc and Karlie Redd, that Frost was her son’s father, but Frost denied even knowing her to his long-suffering wife, Rasheeda.
Ann R. Tuennerman, founder of Tales of the Cocktail And Husband Paul In Blackface Incident A New Orleans couple who founded a major cocktail conference has plunged themselves into a racial firestorm after the husband posted a picture of his wife clad in blackface and an afro. In now deleted Facebook posts, Paul Tuennerman last week uploaded a video of his wife in blackface and an afro with the caption, “As he said ‘Throw a little Black Face on and you lose all your Media Skills.’ He did his best as the Interviewer.” The Tuennerman’s founded Tales of the Cocktail, a mixology conference that draws some 15,000 to 20,000 bartenders and mixologists from around the world, and pulls in millions a year in sales. Ann Tuennerman has since apologized, while her husband Paul resigned from Tales of the Cocktail last week, calling the blackface stunt “stupid,” and “was meant to be a husband’s innocent teasing of his camera-shy wife, not a belittlement of others.” But Joseph Solis, a mixologist for 15 years who works with Hennessy and founded the Sol Hospitality Group, said the blackface incident shows that there is a need for diversity and inclusion initiatives within the mixology and bartending industry. “I’ve been going there (Tales of the Cocktail) for years and I can’t count how many times I’ve been the only chocolate chip in the cookie,” Solis said. “I think it’s disgusting. I think it’s inappropriate and I think it’s inexcusable.” The blackface incident has also caused an uproar among bartenders of color around the country, many of whom said that they’ve been made to feel less than in the traditionally white male-dominated industry. Remy Ma Says Nicki Stans Called Her P.O. While Remy Ma holds the crown in the rap battle between her and no-response Nicki…she’s losing the popular vote among Nicki’s horde of adolescent pop fans. Remy revealed that while the Head Barbie in Charge was off in Paris with her boob hanging out and sipping Champagne with supermodels …a legion of “lames” as she called them had pulled some pretty petty moves on behalf of their queen. Remy took to Instagram live and let it be known that Nicki’s fans had looked up her P.O.’s information and placed a coupled of phone calls in an attempt to put the rapper back behind bars. SMH! While that’s admittedly a little funny on some level conceptually…actually going out of your way to find the phone number and make the call is complete overkill. Nike Debuts Sport Hijab For Athletic Muslim Women Great news for active Muslim women who compete in Sports. Nike has developed a “sports hijab” specifically designed to cover Muslim women’s’ heads while they run or play sports. The Nike Pro Hijab was partially inspired by Emirati weightlifter Amna Al Haddad, who mentioned the lack of sport options for Muslim women who cover themselves while on a trip to Nike’s world headquarters. From that point, prototypes were crafted and given to women athletes to test out. It apparently was a success, as the hijabs will release next spring. The pull-on hijab is made of a lightweight, stretchy breathable material and features an elongated back area so it won’t come untucked while the wearer is in action. It will come in three modest colors — black, grey and obsidian. What a win for Muslim women in sports! In February, we told you that the newest “Bachelorette,” make that “Black Bachelorette,” had been picked earlier than usual. She is 31-year-old Rachel Lindsay, a civil defense litigation attorney from Texas. Lindsay was just eliminated on last night’s episode of The Bachelor to move on to bigger and better things. “To be the first African-American woman is a beautiful thing,” Lindsay said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about what’s next for her. “I’m honored and humbled to be the one chosen. Because that’s how I feel: like I was chosen to be in this role.” When speaking to PEOPLE last month about her excitement, Lindsay said that she was happy to “represent myself as a Black woman in front of America.” As a Black woman going on a dating show to find love, Lindsay told The Hollywood Reporter that she’s received a lot of questions from fellow Black people who wonder if she will pick a Black man (which was debated in our comment section when we announced Lindsay as the next “Bachelorette”). She has breasts and that day she felt like showing them. No big deal. But then came all this conversation about Emma being a feminist and whether or not feminists should exploit their bodies in this way. I rolled my eyes. It’s an old and tired argument. If the decision to show a bit of side boob, was indeed her own, then what was the problem? During this time of apathy, I stumbled across a tweet from For Harriet founder Kimberly Foster. I wondered what that meant for a second but still didn’t care to do the research. Then yesterday, I discovered that Emma was defending her comments and clarifying her statements made about Beyoncé. Ding! That’s the ticket. Not only was the story made more salacious and outrageous by the attack on one of my faves, the best entertainer of our generation. It also positioned White feminism against Black feminism or even more simply a White woman against a Black one. That’s when I started paying attention. First, I heard that Emma allegedly questioned Beyoncé’s feminism when she saw the visuals for the album that “stopped the world” Beyoncé dropped. Dave Chappelle’s Powerful Words At His Local City Council Meeting About Policing Dave Chappelle just banked $60 million from Netflix for his upcoming comedy specials and God knows how much from his recent tours and everything else. That said, Dave still resides with his family in small town Yellow Springs, Ohio. He’s not big-wig celebrity there, he’s an active member of the community and is deeply concerned about his city. On New Years Eve, a black man was badly beaten by the police. As a result, the police chief and a handful of officers resigned from their posts. As Chappelle addressed his neighbors and the city council, he urged them to return Yellow Springs to a town that was policed by faces that everyone knew and not an outside “alien force”, as he described it.
