Bob Simon Dies In Tragic Car Crash So Sad. Via NYPost : Veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent Bob Simon was killed when his livery cab crashed on the West Side Highway in Manhattan Wednesday night, sources said. The CBS reporter died when the Lincoln Town Car he was riding in crashed with a Mercedes and then lost control and plowed into a pedestrian expansion near 30th Street at about 7 p.m., according to sources. Cops had to cut off the top of the Lincoln to free Simon and the driver, who, according to a law enforcement sources, was treated for a possible heart attack by EMTs. The driver of the Mercedes said the livery driver was driving erratically. “He swerved into me,” the driver said. “He hit me and he looked like he lost control of the car.” Simon was taken to St.Luke’s where he died. The former war correspondent joined 60 Minutes in 1996. Wow, what a tragic end to his life. Our thoughts are with his family. Michael Sofronski

College Student Found Covered In Excrement After Killing Church Pastor This is a truly insane, sad story. 19-year-old Camille Brown, a student at West Virginia University has been charged with breaking into the home of an elderly pastor and murdering him over the weekend. According to Daily Mail , the body 68-year-old Ronald Browning, pastor of Cool Ridge Community Church in Beckley, WV, was found by his wife on Feb. 7. Police believe Camille Brown bludgeoned him to death with a blunt object after breaking into their home early that morning. Police apprehended Brown after she allegedly broke into another home in the town of Mabscott. Officers found Brown inside the home covered in her own blood, urine and feces and with multiple cuts all over her hands. Authorities report that she defecated and urinated in her pants once again while being questioned, before admitting to police that she had killed a man with gray hair. As Beckley detective Morgan Bragg said: “The most disturbing factor in this case is the fact Brown and Browning did not know one another and her motive has yet to be determined.” Camille Brown has no known criminal history and was not found to be under the influence of any substances at the time of the attack. She was charged with first-degree murder, breaking and entering and disorderly conduct, and is being held without bond. SMH. There has to be something seriously mentally wrong with this young woman.

That is, if you believe the report of one of his former top aides. As David Axelrod writes in his new book, “Believer: My Forty Years in Poltics,” released Tuesday, Obama had supported gay marriage for years before he considered running for the presidency. However, he had to turn down his support to garner more support from the Black church — known to be staunchly against homosexual couples marrying in the same fashion as traditional couples. As Axelrod wrote in his book (via CNN ): “Gay marriage was a particularly nagging issue. For as long as we had been working together, Obama had felt a tug between his personal views and the politics of gay marriage. Opposition to gay marriage was particularly strong in the black church, and as he ran for higher office, he grudgingly accepted the counsel of more pragmatic folks like me, and modified his position to support civil unions rather than marriage, which he would term a ‘sacred union.’” “Obama started saying in 2010 that his views were evolving on the issue and in May 2012 Obama announced his support for same-sex marriage, citing ‘the evolution that I went through.’” Being that he was going against his true beliefs on the matter, Obama often had problems answering press questions on the manner correctly. According to Axelrod: “Obama never felt comfortable with his compromise and, no doubt, compromised position.
