Adult Swim Show Features Vulgar “Black Jesus” A new Adult Swim show is facing an equal amount of backlash and praise from the religious and African-American communities. Among other things, the show which is titled “Black Jesus” features Jesus living as a hood fab Black man living in Compton, CA who smokes kush, is involved with drug dealers and curses on the regular. via TIME Magazine In John 20:29, Jesus says, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” This was an issue with Doubting Thomas; it is not the problem that Black Jesus has. Like many shows with controversial concepts, the Adult Swim sitcom from Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder has no lack of detractors who have not yet seen it, yet still believe it is blasphemy. Granted, Adult Swim has already given them fodder, in the form of ads and trailers. And the bullet-point highlights of the first two episodes probably won’t do much to quiet the outcry among Christian groups who argue that it mocks their savior and their faith. The show puts the Son of God in modern-day Compton, where he curses, hangs out with drug dealers, changes bottled water into cognac, and smokes blunts. News reported Wednesday. The estate chosen by newlyweds Kim Kardashian, 33, and music mogul Kanye West, 37, sits on three lushly landscaped acres and boasts two pools, two spas and its own professional vineyard. Formerly owned by Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley, the stunning French country-style property has massive wood gates that open to a circular motor court ready for a collection of pricey cars. The 15,667-square foot house includes a gourmet kitchen, eight bedrooms, separate his and hers bathrooms in the master suite, a spacious gym, an indoor movie theater and eight fireplaces, according to its listing on Zillow.com. The purchase comes after the jet-setting stars snapped up another southern California house that was supposed to be their marital manse but remains empty due to a prolonged renovation. “They wanted more land than the Bel-Air home, so they are flipping that,” an unidentified source told E. “They will sell that and move into Hidden Hills.” The newer house, previously listed at $21.9 million, is in a more exclusive enclave with only a few hundred homes and miles of hiking and equestrian trails accessible only through three heavily fortified gates. Rob Kardashian Agrees To Enter Rehab After months of seclusion, being defensive , and family finger-pointing , the Kardashian clan has finally convinced their big little brother Rob to put down the drugs (and the fork and knife) and enter rehab to pull himself together. Via RadarOnline : After months of his famous family’s constant concern for his well-being, Rob Kardashian has finally agreed to check into a treatment facility to cope with his substance abuse issues, InTouch is reporting. “He’s looking at Bridges to Recovery,” an insider reveals, referring to a Beverly Hills residential treatment center catering to those suffering from mental health and addiction problems. As RadarOnline.com has exclusively reported, the rapidly-expanding sock designer, 27, has been attempting to cure his crippling depression with food, alcohol and prescription pills. Though Kardashian tweeted in May that he didn’t “believe in rehab or therapy or anything of that sort,” he has finally had a change of heart, InTouch claims. “Rob says he’s ready to take the first step and he really wants to go,” adds the source. “He’s never said that before, so everyone thinks it’s a good sign.” Well hopefully Rob can clean up and slim down. Or at least talk to the family nip/tuck guy once he’s got the dope out of his system.

She gives advice to a young woman on the show who went through a similar incident. Below is an excerpt of Tisha’s heartfelt and powerful words. “You can no longer be a victim, you have to be victorious at this point. You can’t play the victim because at this point I’m not saying this to put you down or anything. What I’m saying is that he is winning, and you are allowing him to win. You are making a conscious decision to harm yourself to hurt yourself and allow this person to still have dominion over your life. You can’t do that anymore.” “The reason why I can absolutely say this to you without judgement or anything else and this is the first time I ever said this on camera in front of millions national – people is that I to have been a victim of the same thing. When I was three I was raped, by an older person.
