The senator spoke about economic policy for all, but in regards to the African-American agenda specifically, Sanders talked about prison reform and working on reparations for descendants of African slaves. La La Anthony Vs. Mel B On ‘Drop The Mic’ Who knew that La La Anthony and Mel B had bars though? The actress and the America’s Got Talent judge battled it out to see who’s the dopest emcee on the latest episode of TNT’s ‘Drop The Mic’ as host Method Man played referee for the fire match-up. La La shaded the hell out of Scary Spice’s style, while the singer went for the jugular, pointing out that the Power star’s husband, Carmelo Anthony , still doesn’t have a championship ring. The reality star insinuated in tweets that Jordyn never apologized like she stated in her interview. Khloe also says Jordyn’s story was flat out dishonest. Meet Toni Harris, the first female football player to get a scholarship to play defense at a four-year university. Ever. The 22-year-old living legend sat down on TODAY this morning and opened up about making history and more. It turns out, she’s not only badass because of her abilities on a football field—she was also diagnosed with ovarian cancer at just 18 years old, yet here she stands. Harris tells TODAY: “I did want to give up. I thought things were over.” But the young warrior is strong—and certainly it was her mindset about the word “can’t” that helped to keep her going in dark times. “I think my biggest pet peeve is people telling me that I can’t, and so I have to prove them wrong,” she said. Source: DuKai photographer / Getty Amtrack Passengers Left Stranded For 40 Hours Amtrack is issuing an apology to passengers who went through a scary situation on one of their locomotives. Passengers traveling to Seattle, Washington from Portland, Oregon were stuck on the tracks since Sunday when their train hit a tree that had fallen on the tracks. NBC reports that the passengers were stuck for nearly 40 hours and complained of panic attacks and screaming babies. “There has been so little communication from Amtrak. I am very disappointed,” said Kim Shelton who was stuck onboard with her daughter and spoke to “Today.” We’ve had two people have anxiety, heart-related issues. We have just had to take care of each other. There has been no help from outside.” Kim Shelton, one of the 183 passengers and crew members trapped on board a stalled Amtrak train in Oregon for 36 hours and counting, joins TODAY by phone to recount the harrowing experience. pic.twitter.com/iR6JdhJXsg — TODAY (@TODAYshow) February 26, 2019 None of the 183 passengers on board were hurt and Amtrak expressed regret over the incident.
