Desna Is A Stiletto Nails Kinda Girl, But Niecy Nash Prefers A Coffin Shape

Original post:

Source: NBC / Getty Niecy Nash’s fierce character Desna might be a stiletto shape nail girl, but Niecy Nash, in her real life, is a coffin shape nail kinda girl. The Claws star hosted an intimate lunch for NYC media, where she opened up about how Desna’s nail shape correlates to her fiery personality and why she loves being pampered. “I’m a coffin girl in my real life,” she revealed. “But Desna is a stiletto. We all have a different nail shape on the show. Virgina is coffin. Polly is oval. Jen is square and Ann is more natural — a very short length. We all have a different nail on the show that speaks to our personalities. But in my real life, I’m much more of a coffin girl.” Niecy’s biggest co-stars are her nails, which means they require a lot of attention. To care for her natural nails, Niecy has been wearing custom press-ons during her press runs. “It puts a lot of wear and tear on your nails when you’re on a show like this. My natural nails, I’ve been wearing them a lot more often. For my press run I do my custom press-ons just to give them a break.” View this post on Instagram Too much fun in these streets! A post shared by Niecy Nash (@niecynash1) on May 29, 2019 at 2:47pm PDT And Niecy isn’t just pretending to know how to do nails on the show, she actually underwent nail tech training, but opts out of doing her own nails. “They put us through school and training to know how, but no,” she joked. “I like to be taken care of. I work so much and it’s not just the acting, it’s the care for the people even when you’re not on set.” With such a busy schedule, “to be able to have a beat to have someone take care of you, I sign up for it.” Claws airs every Sunday at 9pm on TNT. Outrage Soars After LAPD Reportedly Fired On Unarmed Black Father 37 Times

Source: South_agency / Getty A community in South Los Angeles is gathered in outrage after new details continue to develop regarding the shooting of an unarmed Black father of three earlier in the month. Ryan Twyman was sitting inside a vehicle on June 6 when LAPD officers approached and began firing over 30 rounds according to witness accounts. KTLA reports : Ryan Twyman, a father of three, was shot dead in the parking lot of an apartment complex at San Pedro and 132nd streets on the evening of June 6. Deputies had approached a car Twyman was inside just before firing shots, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. He was still inside a vehicle when he died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to corner’s officials. Speculation about the number of times Twyman was shot has surfaced in dozens of social media posts in the days since. But the Sheriff’s Department has released few details — no information about how many times he was shot and no description of any crime he may have been suspected of. The department has, however, confirmed that no weapon was found at the scene. Compton rapper The Game took to Instagram to address Los Angeles authorities about Twyman’s death. “I can remember us having a conversation about bettering Los Angeles awhile back on both sides of the ball. You were genuine & from what I could see a good human that wanted change just as much as us. Well now I’m calling on you @mayorofla Eric Garcetti……. We need answers on how Los Angeles Sheriff’s could shoot my family #RyanTwyman 37 times while unarmed & murder him in cold blood ???” reads a portion of Game’s caption on an Instagram photo of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. A GoFundMe has been enacted to assist Twyman’s family, which can be viewed here . — Photo: Getty

Geno Doak Crashes Car Into Garage, Emerges Naked in Disturbing New Video

This not exactly just in: Geno Doak is in need of some serious professional help. We don’t say this as a form of judgment, and we don’t even say it due to Doak’s extensive history of breaking the law . We say it because… HOLY HELL… have you seen the video below?!? TMZ has obtained footage shot by a neighbor of June Shannon in Alabama — and while it’s unclear exactly when the video was shot, it’s pretty darn evident just what is featured in the video. And it’s downright disturbing. According to the aforementioned celebrity gossip website, this footage started rolling shortly after Doak crashed his SUV into the garage of the home he shares with Shannon. He honks the horn in order to get June’s attention and then we see the reality star emerge in a purple nightgown. From there, Shannon does the best she can to guide a very, very (VERY) inebriated Doak into the house, but he can barely stand or walk. His pants are also falling off. At one point, Mama June attempts to pull Doak’s shorts up, but he slaps her hand away and begins punching the windows of the vehicle. The guy is a total and complete mess, which might be funny and might just be something to mock… except that he had just been behind the wheel moments earlier. He could have killed someone. Geno Doak Drives Car Into Garage: Watch the Footage! Doak and Shannon have been together for years. The relationship has always seemed unhealthy for both parties (not to mention June’s kids), but it’s seemed especially horrid of late. In mid-March, Shannon was arrested for crack cocaine possession , while Doak was arrested for domestic violence, after the two got into a major altercation in a gas station parking lot. Within 24 hours of this incident, however, and despite a judge ordering Doak to stay away from Shannon, the couple was back together and spotted at a casino together. A month later, reports surfaced that Doak had been cheating on Shannon , sending lewd texts to a woman he was hoping to sleep with… even while lying in bed with his girlfriend. The guy seriously sucks. Shannon’s family has reportedly been concerned with her relationship with Doak following their arrests and these allegations of dishonesty and infidelity. During the season finale of Mama June: From Not to Hot , viewers saw Shannon’s family try to get the 39-year-old reality star to go to rehab. But she was having none of it . In a clip, Shannon can be seen rejecting her family’s pleas to get away from Doak and get into a facility of some kind, making it evident that she’s in complete denial. And it’s getting dangerous for all involved. “If you touch me, I swear to God,” Shannon can be heard screaming at one point below. June Shannon Begged by Daughter to Seek Help: Do You Want to DIE?!? Check out the sneak peek above and then join us in begging with Shannon. Heck, pleading with Shannon. You have kids. Get them, and yourself, as far away from Geno Doak as humanly possible.

Bill Cosby Had the Actual Nerve to Tweet a Father’s Day Message

These days, Bill Cosby is sitting in a prison cell, presumably harboring disturbed fantasies about offering tea to Meghan Markle . But over the weekend, he shocked the world by taking to Twitter. Bill Cosby's Twitter account shared a throwback video, a Father's Day message, and strongly implied that he's been framed by racists. “Hey, Hey, Hey…” Cosby's tweet begins. “It’s America’s Dad…” Interestingly, Matt Lauer has also been referred to as “America's Dad.” He's also not too popular now that people know who he really is. “I know it’s late,” Cosby acknowledges. “But to all of the Dads…” He writes: “It’s an honor to be called a Father,” “So,” Cosby's tweet suggests. “Let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose.” What purpose, you ask? Don't worry — he spells it out. He says that father's have an obligation towards “strengthening our families and communities.” Okay, sure. “#HappyFathersDay” Cosby's tweet is tagged. “#RenewedOathToOurFamily.” But what is really raising eyebrows — aside from this brash tweet from a notorious monster — is the accompanying video. “After slavery was over,” Cosby says in the throwback video. “America kept breaking up the black man's family.” “And,” he admits. “That's some awful history to teach.” “Now,” he continues. “If you wanna look history right straight in the eye, you're gonna get a black eye.” “Because it isn't important if a few black heroes got lost or stolen or strained in America's history textbooks,” Cosby suggests. “What's important,” Cosby explains. “Is  why  they got left out.” “Now,” Cosby continues in the video. “This country has got a psychological history.” “There was a master race, and there was a slave race,” he acknowledges. “And though there isn't any political slavery,” Cosby says, adding: “Anymore.” “Those same old attitudes,” he notes. “Have hung around.” Bill Cosby may be easily one of the most prolifically awful people we can think of, but what he says in this old, old video is true. “The burning part of 'Burn, Baby, Burn' is right here in this classroom.” Cosby says. This is when the clip reveals that he is standing in a fourth grade classroom full of students who are working on art. He then thanks the students and their teacher for allowing him to make the video and for the artwork that they're doing. As you can imagine, Cosby's out-of-the-blue tweet, both tone deaf and tasteless, caught people off guard. This went doubly true in light of O.J. Simpson's shocking creation of a Twitter account . The jokes write themselves, but some Twitter denizens got creative. That said, Cosby's video was much worse than merely tasteless or tone deaf. It doesn't take an analytical genius to read between the lines. Cosby is all but flat-out saying that America is silencing him because he's a prominent and influential black man. White supremacy is very real and very harmful. But we think that Cosby's situation has more to do with 60 women who didn't like being drugged and assaulted. We're reminded of R. Kelly making very similar claims about his numerous accusers. It take s a special kind of awful for a person to try to use real narratives of oppression to defend themselves.

Keyaira who wrote a piece on #BlackPressMatters for Hello Beautiful is drawing attention to the fact that a number of your fave celebs skip and snub black writers during red carpets, screenings and the like. Keyaira also pointed out something we TOO have noticed, that certain celebs won’t repost interviews from black media. “No matter how good the interview was, they wouldn’t share it, they wouldn’t post it,” said Keyaira. “I just started thinking about how the black press has played such a huge role in our ability to be seen and be visible and that support isn’t bounced back to our site.” It’s really a crying shame that in 2019 black reporters have to beg for inclusivity, we applaud Keyaira for being at the forefront of the fight. The initiative—dubbed Father’s Bailout—was created as an avenue to not only unite Black fathers who have fallen victim to the cash bail system with their families, but to spread awareness about persisting issues surrounding mass incarceration and our country’s flawed criminal justice system. With the help of a group called Ex-Out, the organization set out on a mission to bail out fathers who were jailed for non-violent offenses and have bail amounts that are less than $500. “I understand that there are certain systemic issues that remove these fathers from their households,” Black Father Family founder Ryan Bell said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “I want to do everything I can to possibly give another young Black child the same opportunity that I had to have their father in the house with them.” He said he was inspired by projects led by Jay-Z and the National Bail Out’s #FreeBlackMamas movement . Initiatives like the one being led by Bell’s organization are needed. Black families are disproportionately impacted by mass incarceration.
