Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s secret wedding September 9 wasn’t actually official. The pair tied the knot, legally, five days later in Charleston, S.C. Say what now? Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds married in an intimate ceremony a week ago Sunday, but legally, the happy couple wasn’t hitched until September 14. Documents show Reynolds, 35, and Lively, 25, applied for a marriage license on Thursday, September 13, and actually got married the following day. The law mandates that there be a 24-hour waiting period between filing an application for a marriage license and the time the license can be issued. A couple is also required to apply for the license in person. The cost of a marriage license: $70. This certainly helps explain how they kept it secret . Everyone involved was asked to sign non-disclosure agreements, from the children’s choir to the cake makers, and phones were confiscated at the door. Congratulations again to the newlyweds! As her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito ‘s book detailing their romance and jail time hits stores, Amanda and James have been spotted in their native Seattle, going for walks, working on dance moves and having drinks together. Amanda was sobbing, and he said the former lovebirds had a “private moment in the basement of the courthouse, waiting to be taken back to prison one last time.” Raffaele said that his then-girlfriend, who had been dubbed “Foxy Knoxy” by the press, ” squeezed his hand and said she couldn’t wait to see her home and friends.” They didn’t get back together, however. Also, it looks like Blake’s wedding ring is not small … The ring, which was designed by jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, has not been present in any photos from the set of Gossip Girl , which Blake films in New York. Then again, Serena’s not married … at least not at the moment. Coincidentally, a secret wedding involving Blake’s character is the rumored plot of the Oct. 8 premiere! Art imitating life? She also shows off her amazing legs in some insanely short shorts. Before Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds married in a top secret wedding in South Carolina over the weekend, she was already overcome by pre-marital bliss. “Right now, I’m so peaceful,” says the Gossip Girl star, 25, whose romance with Reynolds, 35, went public last October. “I’ve never been happier in my life.” After seeing these photos, Ryan is probably thinking the same: The down-to-earth Lively says she’d rather be happy than flawless any day: “I obviously have plenty of imperfections on my body, but I’d rather have a bit of cellulite and go do a food trip and try every ice cream place in the South.” Happiness, Lively says, is a conscious thing: “It’s the choice you have to wake up every day and say, ‘There’s no reason today can’t be the best day of my life .'” Profound. While she didn’t mention Ryan by name or divulge any wedding plans (clearly), she was clearly in a family state of mind. The girl wants kids. “I’ve always wanted a big family,” says the actress, who is the youngest of five children herself. “Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could.” They’d probably be the hottest kids ever .
