It was a great marketing trick to get that said little town of Topeka Kansas on the map, and not just Google Maps. It seems that their strategy is really paying off. The search giant, Google Inc. has changed their name to Topeka. Google is no longer Google. Googling someone is no longer an acceptable phrase. From now on, when you go online to search, you are Topeking. You go to Topeka. Here are some suggested ways of adapting and using this new language. Proper use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I did a Topeka search on him.” Acceptable use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I Topeka’ed him.” Questionable use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I Topeka’d his ass.” Incorrect use of Topeka – “Before our blind date, I topeka’ed him with Alta Vista.” Of course, as cool as this all seems. Walmart New Moon Release Party: Watch New Moon DVD Release Party at Walmart – It was confirmd that besides the Twilight New Moon DVD Release Party at Borders, Walmart is having their own New Moon Release party too, Friday, March 19 at 11 pm. with giveaways, cake and more. Looks like a national campaign! The Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is holding a New Moon DVD release party from 10 p.m. to midnight March 19 at the Richland Walmart. There will be a Twilight costume contest featuring the following categories: humans, vampires, werewolves and Volturi. The winner in each category will receive a New Moon DVD. Contest judges will be the Tri-Cities’ own Twilight character look-a-likes, sponsored by the Edith Bishel Center, a nonprofit agency in Kennewick. Free photos will be taken with the look-a-like characters. Meanwhile, The Holland Wal-mart is already heavily promoting T-shirts, games and other Twilight loot in preparation for tonight. As fans begin lining up in the evening, Wal-mart will have giveaways and activities. “We hope it’s going to be a big crowd,” Wal-mart electronics associate Emmitte Meade said. “I’ve worked every one of the midnight releases, and I love it. I’ve been watching the Blind Side trailer for the last hour….I am getting a huge kick out of this whole thing…It seems like girls you meet at bars don’t really give a fuck about the humor in all this, they all sympathize with Sandra Bullock, like she represents them or something, while she’s just some pig celebrity who is probably really into herself, despite what bullshit her PR people tell her to say in interviews. Sure, it’s nice to believe she’s human and that this is the same situation as if it happened to the nice girl down the street or your sister, but it’s not…it’s all bullshit…really funny bullshit…especially since this Bombshell girl looks like someone insane, cuz anyone with a forehead tattoo and a swastika tattoo and White Power tattoos always look like they are one meth hit away from shooting the local park the black kids play at..
