A pair of X-Men would like to join Taylor Swift's witches coven . Earlier this week, Ian McKellen gave a dramatic reading of Swift’s “Bad Blood” in a Yahoo! video; you can view this amazing footage above. Not to be shown up by his dear friend, Patrick Stewart then recited Taylor's scorned love anthem ” Blank Space ” for NPR, proceeding to Tweet shortly afterward: “So @IanMcKellen recited 'Bad Blood' and I did 'Blank Space' on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?” Yes, that actually happened. Swift, of course, was made aware of these videos, watched them and then replied to Stewart's request: “Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.” This is amazing all around. We're so happy.

Unless you’ve been spent the last week hiding from the Internet for fear of hearing anything negative about your beloved Duggars, you’ve probably encountered Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video . The clip, which features Swifty and several of her famous friends rocking $13,000 in sex shop clothes went mega-viral for obvious reasons and now has nearly 90 million views on YouTube. Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of Taylor’s badass antics. We learned several months ago that “Bad Blood” was written about Taylor’s feud with Katy Perry , and we’re guessing KP was none too thrilled to see the song has become a massive success as a single. So perhaps it’s not surprising that Katy is penning her own response with the help of John Mayer, who’s something of an expert (Read: “has slept with”) both girls. “Katy thinks revenge is a dish best served cold,” a source tells Heat magazine. “She’s even more determined to show people what she calls ‘the real Taylor,’ she’s writing some big, anthemic-type songs that’ll feature dirt on Taylor that John’s told her from when they used to date.” Katy and John are back together for the moment (We give it a week.), and while most of her fans thought the reconciliation was a bad move for Katy, it might be well worth if it means delivering a crippling, radio-friendly blow to her arch rival. Yes, we’ve got a full-blown pop diva feud going on, and Mayer has positioned himself squarely in the middle. It’s only been two months since we first learned that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are dating , but already rumors are flying about the Scottish DJ giving in to his ladies’ man tendencies. Just one day before Calvin kissed Taylor at the Billboard Music Awards , essentially taking their relationship public for the first time, he was allegedly spotted hanging out with a mystery brunette at a pool party in Vegas. Radar Online is reporting that Taylor confronted Calvin about his possible cheating, but was unable to get a satisfactory response from her new man. Harris insisted that the woman is just a friend, but witnesses say they spent the entire evening in close contact with each other, then piled into the same SUV at the end of the night. Taylor, of course, has a long history of making bad decisions when it comes to men, but she’s older and wiser now, and we’re guessing she won’t be tolerating much crap from Calvin. She’s also more private these days, so we may not get the traditional Swifty breakup ballad if things don’t work out with Harris. Taylor Swift started this week by taking home eight Billboard Music Awards and by being named Maxim’s Hottest Woman in the World . And Taylor Swift is now ending the week by racking up yet another impressive accomplishment. The artist’s Bad Blood music video garnered 20.1 million views on VEVO in just 24 hours, setting a new record for the video-based website. The mark was previously held by Nicki Minaj when she released her video for Anaconda video in August 2014. “FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW. YOU BROKE THE VEVO RECORD. THANK YOU,” Swift Tweeted shortly after learning of the news. In a batch of subsequent Twitter messages, she thanked her famous friends for appearing in the video, singling out such stars as Kendrick Lamar, Selena Gomez , Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Martha Hunt and Cara Delevingne. Other huge names to make action-packed cameos include Lena Dunham, Serayah, Jessica Alba, Gigi Hadid, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo and Ellie Goulding. Another day, another big name announced as part of Taylor Swift’s new music video. And this one has a special connection to the artist. Not long after revealing to Twitter followers that Ellen Pompeo will play a role in her upcoming “Bad Blood” video, Swift unveiled a poster of Mariska Hargitay playing the character of Justice. Why is this notable? Because Swift is such a huge fan of the Law & Order: SVU veteran that she named one of her cats after Hargitay’s iconic detective, Olivia Benson. The name of Swift’s other feline? Meredith Grey, of course, after Pompeo’s beloved surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy . Pompeo and Hargitay are friendly themselves, having posed for a picture at the Super Bowl and then sent it to Swift as a joke… that totally made Swift’s life. Taylor will debut her “Bad Blood” video at this Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards.
