Jerod Brown, the obviously troubled cousin of ailing Bobbi Kristina Brown, has been arrested in his home state of Georgia, according to media reports. Police pulled him over after smelling marijuana while driving behind his car. He said he didn’t have marijuana on him, but “just came from the studio.” According to Atlanta authorities, Jerod Brown didn’t have his license on him, and claimed that his name was Jahraim Reid, born on October 29, 1987. After an hour of investigating, officials determined that he was lying, at which point he admitted his real name and correct birth date (November 9, 1987). There was also a prior warrant out for his arrest , so Brown was booked on that, driving without a license, and providing false identification to police. The incident comes a week after Jerod Brown released a music video , entitled “Pray4BK,” as a tribute to/attempt to cash in on the woes of Bobbi Kristina. His famous cousin, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has been in a medically induced coma since the last weekend in January. She has shown no signs of improvement , by and large, since being found face down in the bathtub in her home by her estranged partner Nick Gordon. Jerod, 27, has made headlines in the seven weeks since then by speaking out about Bobbi Kristina’s condition on Facebook and other social platforms. The most notorious example? That Pat Houston tried to down Bobbi Kristina , a claim that prompted Bobby Brown’s lawyer to respond via a statement. “Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to makes statements and appear on television,” Chris Brown (no relation) said in response. “However, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family.” “He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any ‘meet and greet’ organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition.” “This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this sideshow.” It appears he’s provided even more of a sideshow this week.
