The legal future of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s care and medical needs will be decided by her father and her aunt, Bobby Brown and Pat Houston. Pat Houston and Cissy Houston’s counsel, David Long-Daniel, and Christopher Brown, counsel for Bobby Brown, confirmed in a statement: “We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown (‘Krissi’).” From this day forward, “Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs.” The decision comes three months after the only daughter of the late music icon Whitney Houston was discovered unresponsive in a bathtub. It also comes amid rumors regarding Bobby Brown fighting Whitney’s family over his daughter’s estate, believed to be worth eight figures. Whatever issues the families have seem to be settled … for now. Houston and Brown spent Thursday in court, where a conservator – a neutral party – was also selected on behalf of Bobbi Kristina, 22. The conservator represents the interests of a person who, for one reason or another, lacks the capacity to make decisions on their own. Attorney Bedelia Hargrove will be “responsible for Krissi’s assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims,” continues the statement . “Both parties are delighted with the court’s decision and are working harmoniously to ensure Krissi receives the best possible medical care.” “We are appreciative of the manner in which Judge Jeryl Debra Rosh handled this matter,” the parties’ statement concluded on Friday. Bobbi Kristina remains on life support at an Atlanta-area rehab facility, where Bobby Brown and Pat Houston have been constant visitors. As for Bobbi Kristina’s estranged partner Nick Gordon , he is out of rehab and yearning to see his ailing lover, who he believes he can help. Following his first public appearance since his daughter was found unconscious in her bathtub back in January, Bobby Brown rushed back to Bobbi Kristina’s bedside in order to supervise her care and pray for a miracle. Krissi’s prognosis remains grim, yet Bobby has repeatedly delayed the decision to remove her from life support in hopes that she’ll defy the odds and regain consciousness. The burden rests entirely on Bobby’s shoulders, and he seems to have no plans of giving up on his only daughter., However, other members of the family are beginning to come to terms with the fact that Krissi will almost certainly never recover, and sources say they’ve begun pushing Brown to remove her life support . In a recent interview, Cissy Houston stated that there’s “not a great deal of hope” for Bobbi Kristina, and she hinted that she’s already begun the grieving process. It seemed as though Cissy was eager for her troubled granddaughter to finally be at rest, and resented Bobby’s decision to prolong her vegetative state. But there are sources close to the family who believe that Cissy and the other Houstons may have an ulterior motive in encouraging to Bobby to remove life support. Is is believed that after the death of Whitney Houston , Bobbi Kristina inherited her entire $20 million fortune. Currently, that money is being used to cover Krissi’s astronomical medical bills. If she passes, the inheritance will be divided up amongst the other members of the Houston family. The mother of Whitney Houston has spoken publicly for the first time about her granddaughter. And the news Cissy Houston has for fans is grim. Breaking her silence about Bobbi Kristina Brown – who remains in medically-induced coma following an unexplained collapse on January 31 – Houston told WBLS FM 107.5 today that she feels “every bit” of all the prayers out there. “I truly do,” she emphasized. Bobbi Kristina was recently moved from Emory University Hospital after seven weeks at the world-class Atlanta facility. But there’s not much else to report at the moment. And certainly nothing positive, unfortunately. “She’s the same,” Cissy said of Bobbi. “We’ve moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We’re] still praying.” Houston has sadly dealt with a lot of loss in her life, learning to let go and let God do His thing. “I don’t pray like that. I give it to God one time, because I know He’s able,” she said. “And I cannot change a thing. I’m asking everybody: ‘Just pray to the Lord who we know CAN do something about it.'” She added: “If He works a miracle, thank God. Jerod Brown, the obviously troubled cousin of ailing Bobbi Kristina Brown, has been arrested in his home state of Georgia, according to media reports. Police pulled him over after smelling marijuana while driving behind his car. He said he didn’t have marijuana on him, but “just came from the studio.” According to Atlanta authorities, Jerod Brown didn’t have his license on him, and claimed that his name was Jahraim Reid, born on October 29, 1987. After an hour of investigating, officials determined that he was lying, at which point he admitted his real name and correct birth date (November 9, 1987). There was also a prior warrant out for his arrest , so Brown was booked on that, driving without a license, and providing false identification to police. The incident comes a week after Jerod Brown released a music video , entitled “Pray4BK,” as a tribute to/attempt to cash in on the woes of Bobbi Kristina. His famous cousin, the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has been in a medically induced coma since the last weekend in January. She has shown no signs of improvement , by and large, since being found face down in the bathtub in her home by her estranged partner Nick Gordon. Jerod, 27, has made headlines in the seven weeks since then by speaking out about Bobbi Kristina’s condition on Facebook and other social platforms. The most notorious example? That Pat Houston tried to down Bobbi Kristina , a claim that prompted Bobby Brown’s lawyer to respond via a statement. “Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to makes statements and appear on television,” Chris Brown (no relation) said in response. “However, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family.” “He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any ‘meet and greet’ organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition.” “This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this sideshow.” It appears he’s provided even more of a sideshow this week.
